Description

The invention relates to a hinge according to the preamble of claim 1.

A door hinged with such a hinge, for example known from DE-OS 34 42 421, performs a pivoting movement when it is opened, in which the end face of the door located on the articulation side also follows with its outer edge over the end region of the door in the closed position emigrates to the outside. This can usually be accepted because normally there is a free space adjacent to the hinged narrow end face of the door or there is a sufficiently large gap between this end face and the end face of an adjacent door or adjoining components so that the outer edge abuts the front of the door is not to be feared when opening. Problems arise, however, if, for example, a thick door only has a narrow one Gap adjoins an adjacent door or another component or if decorative strips or decorations are attached to the outside of the door in the joint area, which thicken the door in this area or form projections.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a hinge of the type mentioned, which enables a wide opening of the door even without hindrance if the door has a large thickness or a large distance between the bore for the pivotable hinge part and the hinged end face of the door has and is arranged with only a narrow joint adjacent to an adjacent door or wall or in addition with moldings or the like. is provided.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in a door of the generic type by the characterizing features of patent claim 1.

In the hinge according to the invention, the hinge arm executes a pivoting movement inwards with a simultaneous displacement outwards when the pivotable hinge part is pivoted into its open position, so that immediately with the opening of the door there is a gap between the hinged end face of the door and an adjacent component and between enlarge the inside of the door and the front of the supporting wall that supports it. The hinge arm thus performs a pivoting movement opposite to the door with simultaneous displacement to the outside, so that the hinged edge region of the door is displaced inwards and outwards from the closed position when it is opened, so that there is a sufficiently large free space when the door opens has considerable thickness or the like with moldings. is provided.

Since in the hinge according to the invention the hinge arm executes a translational movement to the outside during the opening movement, which is superimposed on a pivoting movement counter to the pivoting movement of the door, the pivotable hinge part which forms the door stop part can be formed with only a small depth, so that the invention With appropriate training hinge can also be used with particular advantage for articulating glass doors.

Due to the mobility of the hinge arm, a large opening angle can be achieved with the hinges according to the invention. Although this is smaller than the opening angle of so-called wide-angle hinges, the hinges according to the invention are, however, more compact, robust, space-saving and cheaper.

In a hinge known from DE-OS 31 00 526, the pivotable hinge part is held by two articulated arms, of which an articulated arm is guided via lateral bolts in an elongated hole guide which is provided in side parts of the base plate in the rear area thereof. A slide is guided in lateral grooves of the two-part articulated arm, which is articulated by the other articulated arm to the pivotable hinge part. In its central region, the first articulated arm carries bolts which protrude through a V-shaped slideway of the base plate and carry gears which mesh with toothed rack profiles of the base plate and the washer. By pulling out the first articulated arm and the slider connected to the second articulated arm relative to the base plate and by the V-shaped curvature of the slideway, which leads to a pivoting of the first articulated arm relative to the base plate, the pivotable hinge part can be pivoted by a pivot angle of approximately 180 Swivel degree. With this Known hinge, however, is not a four-joint hinge of the type specified at the outset, and the displacement and pivoting of the first articulated arm can only be achieved by means of slideways which form two guides and complex gear means.

From DE-PS 637 723 a hinge is known in which a movable hinge wing is provided with an articulated arm, which is articulated with a slide that is longitudinally displaceable in the fixed hinge wing, and the other at the free end of the articulated arm with a Handlebar is articulated, the other end is articulated in the rear region of the guide of the slide on the fixed hinge wing. This known hinge is also not a four-bar hinge of the type specified at the outset and the movable hinge wing is articulated on a slide which is longitudinally displaceable in the fixed hinge wing, without this being able to perform a pivoting movement with respect to its translational movement.

In the hinge according to claims 1 to 6, the hinge arm carries out a pivoting movement inwards with a simultaneous displacement outwards when the pivotable hinge part is pivoted into its open position, so that the gap between the joint-side end face of the door opens immediately with the opening of the door and an adjacent component and between the inside of the door and the end face of the supporting wall carrying this considerably. The hinge arm thus performs a pivoting movement opposite to the door with simultaneous displacement outwards, so that the hinged edge region of the door is displaced inwards and outwards from the closed position when it is opened, so that a Large free space results if the door has a considerable thickness or with decorative strips or the like. is provided. However, this pivoting movement of the hinge arm opposite to the door means that the largest exploitable opening angle of the door is somewhat smaller than the largest opening angle made possible by the articulation system. The reduction in the opening angle results from the pivoting of the hinge arm inwards.

In order to be able to fully utilize the largest opening angle of the door permitted by the articulation system, it is therefore provided according to an inventive further development that the articulated connection in the area of the rear end of the hinge arm consists of a coupling member which is articulated on the one hand in the area of the rear end of the hinge arm with this and on the other hand with the support plate or the intermediate plate, and that the coupling member has such a length that the hinge arm performs a pivoting movement when pivoting the pivotable hinge part into the open position, in which it essentially its position parallel to the support plate maintains. In the hinge according to the invention, the swivel angle permitted per se by the joint system is not reduced in that the hinge arm executes a swivel movement opposite to the door. Under certain circumstances it may also be expedient to make the length of the coupling member smaller or larger or even so large that the hinge arm is pivoted simultaneously with the door when the door is opened, so that the achievable opening angle is increased still further. In the hinge according to the invention, the hinge arm therefore performs no or only a small pivoting movement in the direction opposite to the door, or else a pivoting movement in the sense of pivoting the door into the open position, depending on the length of the rear coupling member in relation to the length of the handlebar extension.

From DE-OS 27 49 288 it is known per se in a wide-angle hinge with scissor-like articulated arms, the rear end of a scissor arm, the front end of which is articulated to the pivotable hinge part, articulated via a coupling member with a rear, raised end of the support plate connect to. With this coupling element, however, a completely different opening and pivoting characteristic is achieved than with the hinge according to the invention. In particular, in contrast to the known wide-angle hinge according to an advantageous eye design, it is provided that in the closed state of the hinge the articulated connection of the coupling member with the hinge arm is closer to the fastening surface of the support plate than the articulated connection of the coupling member with the support or intermediate plate. The articulation of the hinge arm according to the invention by means of front and rear coupling links to the support plate or intermediate plate achieves the particular movement characteristic of the hinge arm that solves the task. When the pivotable hinge part is pivoted, the joint of the rear coupling member which is connected to the hinge arm and is arranged closer to the body wall initially moves in the direction of the door and approximately parallel to the body wall, while it is only lifted more strongly from the body wall towards the end of the pivoting movement. As a result of this pivoting characteristic, the inner surface of the door lying flat on the end face of the body part in the closed state initially lifts strongly from this end face, while the actual pivoting movement of the door into the open position only takes place when the door is at a sufficient distance from the end face of the body part has and the swivel arm is simultaneously shifted inwards, so that a large opening angle can be achieved by adjacent components is not disabled. The hinge according to the invention is therefore particularly suitable for hinging doors that have a considerable thickness or are provided with decorative strips.

The coupling element is expediently articulated on a rear, raised part of the supporting or intermediate plate.

The coupling member and the extension of the handlebar preferably run approximately parallel to one another in the closed position of the hinge.

The joint axes of the coupling member and the extension of the handlebar are preferably at the corner points of a parallelogram.

The coupling member expediently consists of a U-shaped bracket, the regions of its legs adjoining its web part are articulated on the supporting or intermediate plate.

The hinge shown in FIGS. 1 to 8 consists of a pivotable cup-shaped hinge part 1 which is connected in an articulated manner to the hinge arm 6, which is U-shaped in cross section, by the links 2, 3 via the hinge pins 4, 5. In the pot-shaped hinge part 1, the outer ends of the links 2, 3 are mounted on hinge pins 7, 8. The pivotable cup-shaped hinge part 1 is embedded in a milled hole 9 in the door 10 and fastened to the door 10 in the usual manner. The cup-shaped hinge part 1 forms the pivotable door stop part and can also have any other suitable shape. The inner link 3 is provided with an extension 11 which extends this beyond the bore 12 or the hinge pin 5.

A fastening plate 14 is screwed to the support wall 13 and is connected to a first intermediate plate 15 and a second intermediate plate 16 in the manner shown in FIG. The first intermediate plate 15, which is also U-shaped in cross section, is connected to the fastening plate 14 by the fastening screw 17, which engages through a keyhole-like elongated hole 18 in the web part of the first intermediate plate 15. The elongated hole 18 allows the hinge arm to be adjusted in its longitudinal direction.

The second intermediate plate 16, which likewise has a U-shaped cross section, is mounted on the first intermediate plate 15. The set screw 21 is screwed into the flanged threaded bore 20 of the web part of the second intermediate plate 16 and engages with its annular groove 22 in an elongated hole that runs freely towards the front in the web part of the first intermediate plate 15. The first intermediate plate 15 is in the rear region of its legs provided with peg-like projections 23, which are guided in elongated holes 24 of the second intermediate plate 16 that run freely towards the rear. The intermediate plate 16 is provided in the front region of its legs with a bolt or pin-like projections 24 'which engage in obliquely extending slots 25 in the legs of the first intermediate plate 15. If an adjustment is made by means of the adjusting screw 21, the second intermediate plate 16 carries out a pivoting movement which is overlaid by a translational movement, so that the joint between the door and the body part is not changed when the door is adjusted to the side. This embodiment has been described in DE-PS 34 42 421, to which reference is made for further illustration.

In the sense of the invention, the support plate is understood to mean the entirety of all components between the support wall and the hinge arm, so that therefore only a mounting plate can support the hinge arm or a support plate is provided which consists of a mounting plate and at least one intermediate plate which then carries the hinge arm .

The legs of the second intermediate plate 16 have been extended in their front area beyond the central web part, so that they form a fork-shaped part 29 provided with bores 28. In the bores 28, the bolt 30 is held, on which the extension 11 of the inner link 3 is mounted in the bore 31.

Elongated holes 34 are provided in the legs 33 of the second intermediate plate 16, which run approximately upward into the web part in the central region of the intermediate plate 16. The elongated holes 34 consist of a slightly inclined straight rear part 35 and an upwardly curved part Section 36, which ends in the web part 37 of the intermediate plate 16. Pins 39, which are arranged on the inside of the legs 40 of the hinge arm 6, engage in the elongated hole 35.

In the closed position of the hinge shown in FIG. 1, the pins 39 of the hinge arm 6 are located in the rear end region of the elongated holes 35. When the hinge is opened, the pins 39 move forward in the manner shown in FIG.

From Fig. 1 it can be seen that with an opening movement of the door 10, the hinge arm 6 executes a pivoting movement opposite this opening movement with simultaneous displacement outwards.

The course of the elongated holes 35 and the length of the extension 11 and the arrangement of the hinge and guide bolts are chosen so that the door performs the desired movement outwards and inwards when it is opened, so that the hinge-side end face 44 of the door 10 from the adjacent one Front side 45 of a door or another component is released.

From Fig.2 it can be seen that the pivoting of the hinge arm inward and outward displacement creates such a large space that even trim strips 46 can swing freely into the angle through the end face 45 of an adjacent door and the end face 47 of the Support wall 13 is formed.

The embodiment according to FIGS. 9 and 10 differs from that according to FIGS. 1 to 8 in that the outer link 2 'is provided with an extension 50 which is curved upwards and extended beyond the hinge pin 4 and which is articulated with the fork-shaped part 29 'of the intermediate plate 16' which is extended towards the top is connected by the hinge pin 30 '. The articulated connection of the extension 50 and the fork-shaped part 29 'of the intermediate plate 16' engages through a window-like cutout 51 of the web part of the hinge arm 6 '.

The legs 40 'of the hinge arm 6' are provided at their rear end with oblong holes 52 which run freely towards the rear. Guide pins 53 are guided in these elongated holes 52 and are fastened to the outer sides of the legs of the intermediate plate 16 '.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 11 to 14, a support plate 14 is screwed to the support wall 13 and is connected to a first intermediate plate and a further intermediate plate 16 in the manner described in FIGS. 1 to 10. The first intermediate plate, which is also U-shaped in cross section, is connected to the support plate 14 by a fastening screw which engages through an elongated hole in the web part of the first intermediate plate. The second intermediate plate 16, which also has a U-shaped cross section, is mounted on the first intermediate plate. A set screw 21 is screwed into a flanged threaded bore of the web part of the second intermediate plate 16 and engages with its annular groove in an elongated hole that runs freely towards the front in the web part of the first intermediate plate. In the rear region of its legs, the first intermediate plate is provided with peg-like projections 23, which are guided in elongated holes 24 of the second intermediate plate 16 that run freely towards the rear. The intermediate plate 16 is provided in the front region of its legs with a bolt or pin-like projections which engage in obliquely extending oblong holes in the legs of the first intermediate plate. If an adjustment is made by the adjusting screw 21, the second leads Intermediate plate 16 a pivoting movement, which is superimposed on a translational movement, so that the joint between the door and the body part is not changed when the door is adjusted to the side. This embodiment has been described in DE-PS 34 42 421, to which reference is made for further illustration.

The legs of the second intermediate plate 16 have been extended in their front area beyond the central web part, so that they form a fork-shaped part 29 provided with holes. A bolt 30 is held in the bores, on which the extension 11 of the inner link 3 is mounted in a bore.

The side legs 60 of the hinge arm 6 are provided with these rearwardly extending extensions 61, which project beyond the web part 62 of the hinge arm 6. The fork-shaped extensions 61 are provided with bores, in each of which short riveted bolts 63 are held, penetrate the bores 64 in the legs 65 of the bow-shaped coupling member 66 and thereby pivotally connect them to the extensions 61. The legs 65 of the bow-shaped coupling member 60 are provided with further bearing bores 68 in their area near the web 67. The legs 65 are provided with offsets in the manner shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.

The legs of the U-shaped intermediate plate 16 are provided with these rearwardly extending extensions 70, which at the same time protrude upward beyond the web part of the intermediate plate 16 and thereby form an extended and raised bearing fork for the coupling member 66. The rearward raised extensions 70 are provided with bearing holes in which a hinge pin 71 is held, the bearing holes 68 of the Coupling member 66 penetrates.

The hinge arm 6 forms through its articulated connection with the second intermediate plate 16 through the coupling member 66 and the extension 11, a four-joint system, the articulation points 5, 30 and 63, 71 lie on the corner points of a parallelogram, so that when opening Door 10 of the hinge arm 6 is moved substantially parallel to itself and to the outside.
