Abstract

Ein Beschleunigungs- oder Verzögerungssensor 10 mit einem Schaltkontakt 24, der durch Verschiebung eines als träge Masse wirkenden Permanentmagneten 40 betätigt wird, ist in der Weise vollständig funktionsüberprüfbar, daß man im Bereich der geringsten Magnetfeldempfindlich­ keit des Schaltkontaktes 24 vorzugsweise mittels einer elektromagnetischen Zylinderspule 90 kurzzeitig ein elektromagnetisches Feld erzeugt, dessen auf den Per­ manentmagneten 40 wirkende magnetische Kraft etwa gleich der durch die zu detektierende Beschleunigung oder Verzögerung ausgeübten Kraft ist, und daß man gleichzeitig den Schaltzustand des Schaltkontakts 24 beobachtet.
Dieses Prüfverfahren kann mittels einer von dem Sensor körperlich getrennten Prüfvorrichtung durchgeführt wer­ den. Zur beliebig wiederholbaren Funktionsüberprüfung auch des verwendungsfähig eingebauten Sensors kann die Prüfvorrichtung mit dem Sensor zu einem einheitlichen Bauteil zusammengefaßt werden.
