- Said slot can be formed laterally or can extend annularly, its depth and width being conveniently suitable for guiding and deviating the various types of yarns being worked.

- the paraffin wax disc 2 is positioned such that its frontal surface urged against the pegs 4 deviates the path of the yarn 6, which is taut between the guide elements 7 and 14. It can be understood that said variation causes the yarn to adhere against the paraffin wax under pressure. This adhesion pressure is greater the greater said deviation.
- This procedure does not enable precise control of the quantity of paraffin wax transferred to the yarn to be obtained to work yarns which are slightly different, or to work the same yarn but with a slightly different amount of paraffin-waxing, for optimisation purposes.
- the service operator then sets all the paraffin-waxing devices of the successive winding units to the same number of spacers, to ensure that the paraffin-waxing is constant and equal for all said winding units.
