Definitions

  • the invention relates to a chair, in particular work or office chair, with a seat which can be changed in inclination and with a backrest which can be changed in proportion to the inclination, depending on the change in inclination of the seat, in which, with increasing inclination of the seat, the backrest with respect to the facing end of the seat performs an additional relative movement, in which swivel levers are arranged on both sides of the support arms of the chair frame, the upper ends of which are firmly and non-rotatably connected to and support the backrest, in which the articulation axis of the seat in the region of its front edge by means of an elongated hole Guides limited adjustable and rotatable at the ends of the support arms, in which the swivel levers are non-adjustable and rotatably connected to the seat and in which the swivel levers with the lower ends are rotatably mounted on the chair frame, the axis of rotation being lower than the hinges kaxis of the seat on the support
  • Such a chair is known from DE-GM 86 16 836.
  • the pivot levers are articulated to the central column of the chair frame and the axis of rotation between the pivot levers and the seat lies in the rear area of the seat, so that the pivot levers are for the most part below the seat and are therefore not designed directly as armrests or armrests and can be used.
  • the slots of the slot guides run horizontally, so that the front area of the seat with increasing inclination performs an upward movement, which worsens the seating comfort, particularly in the area of the hollow of the knee, and leads to a pressure edge.
  • a chair is known in which the swivel levers are articulated in the front area of the support arms of the chair frame.
  • the front area of the seat is attached to the support arms using the carrying lever.
  • This articulation of the swivel lever and the design of the adjusting device allows the swivel lever to be used as armrests or armrests, but the guidance of the front area of the seat via the entraining lever does not allow a clear and defined lowering of the front seat area, especially with larger tolerances of the swivel joints.
  • pivot levers are designed as armrests or are connected to them, that the axis of rotation of the lower ends of the pivot levers are arranged below the articulation axis of the seat, and that the elongated holes of the elongated hole guides face the front of the seat are increasing.
  • the guidance of the front seating area by means of the elongated hole guides results in a defined lowering, whereby there is no need for the carrying levers and the adjustment device is simplified and becomes even more reliable.
  • the swivel levers can be used as armrests or armrests, as they are mostly above the seat. In this articulation on the chair frame and the seat, the swivel levers bring about the relative movement of the backrest and seat, which is necessary to avoid the pull-out effect when the backrest inclination is increased.
  • the elongated hole guides are arranged approximately perpendicularly above the pivot axis of the pivoting levers, then the support arms are guided approximately vertically upwards in the end regions.
  • the support arms can also be straight if the configuration is such that the elongated hole guides are offset from the pivot axis of the pivoting lever toward the front of the seat.
  • the comfort in the area of the hollow of the knees can be improved in a simple manner by the fact that the seat in the front area ends in an end section falling towards the base of the chair, the elongated hole guides being arranged in the area of the end section.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 only the upper end of the central column 10 of a chair frame is shown, on which support arms 11 extend forward.
  • support arms 11 which can also be combined, two pivot levers 13 designed as armrests or armrests are rotatably mounted in a pivot axis 12.
  • the other ends of the pivot levers 13 are mounted on both sides of the backrest 15 in fixed fastening points 14 so that when the inclination of the pivot levers 13 changes, the inclination of the entrained backrest 15 to the vertical also changes.
  • the seat 16 ends in the front region in an end section 17 which is inclined towards the standing surface.
  • the pivot levers 13 each have a mounting bracket 19, via which they are rotatably mounted on the seat 16 about an axis of rotation 18, which is below the connecting line between the pivot axis 12 of the pivot levers 13 on the support arms 11 and the fixed attachment points 14 of the pivot levers 13 on the backrest 15 lies.
  • the seat 16 is supported on the support arms 11 in an axis of rotation 21 by means of elongated hole guides which are formed by bearing bolts can be, which are guided in slots 20 of the support arms 11 and are limited adjustable.
  • the elongated holes 20 are introduced into extensions 22 of the support arms 11 and lie vertically above the articulation axis 12 of the pivot levers 13, whereby they rise towards the front.
  • the front edge of the seat which is formed by the transition between the seat 16 and the end section 17, is additionally lowered in the direction of the standing surface when the seat 16 is lowered, ie, its inclination is increased.
  • the displacement of the front edge of the seat in the direction of the backrest 15 is negligible.
  • the axis of rotation 21 ' is placed at the transition from the seat 16 to the end section 17.
  • the length and the inclination of the elongated holes 20 determine the lowering movement of the front seat edge and also the two end positions of the seat 16, by abutment of the bearing bolts 21 at the ends of the elongated holes 20.
  • the axis of rotation changes the position in the elongated holes 20, like the axes of rotation 21 and 21 'show.
  • the axis of rotation 21 ′ lies over the end section 17, as the bearing plates 24 show.
  • the elongated holes 20 are also offset toward the front with respect to the articulation axis 12 of the pivot levers 13 on the support arms 11 and designed to rise towards the front.
  • the axis of rotation 21 ' is located in the region of the ends of the elongated holes 20 facing the front and adjusts when the seat 16 is lowered into the region of the ends of the elongated holes 20 facing the rear, so that when the seat 16 is lowered the front edge of the seat is lowered with. Due to the simultaneous adjustment of the seat 16 in the direction of the backrest 15, in conjunction with the displacement of the axis of rotation 18 between the seat 16 and the pivot levers 13 via the connecting line between the articulation axis 12 and the fixed fastening points 14, a countermovement of the end facing the backrest 15 the seat 16 reached.
  • the axis of rotation 21 'and the axis of rotation 18 lie approximately in a horizontal plane, while in the lower end position of the seat 16, the axis of rotation 18 is pivoted below the axis of rotation 21 '.
  • the elongated holes 20 determine these end positions and, with their dimensions and their inclination, determine the guided and defined lowering path of the front seat edge.
  • the pivot levers 13 are designed as armrests or armrests or are provided with them.
  • the exemplary embodiments show that no driving levers and driving lever joints are required in order to effect all the adjustment means required for the desired relative movements between the seat, backrest and chair frame by these parts themselves. It depends solely on the arrangement of the elongated holes 20 in the support arms 11 or the seat 16 or the pivot levers 13 and their dimensions and orientation as well as the position of the axis of rotation 18 between the seat 16 and the pivot levers 13 to the connecting line between the pivot axis 12 of the pivot levers 13 on the support arms 11 and the fixed attachment points 14 of the pivot lever 13 on the backrest 15.
