Definitions
- the invention relates to a piston pump for dosing flowable substances, for example disinfectants, liquid soaps or creams, with a permanently spring-loaded piston which has a radial groove in which an annular valve element is arranged axially displaceably, which seals and slides on the piston when the piston is actuated Cylinder wall rests, wherein it releases a passage opening for the substance to be conveyed during the pressure stroke, which blocks it during the suction stroke.
- a piston pump for dosing flowable substances for example disinfectants, liquid soaps or creams
- a permanently spring-loaded piston which has a radial groove in which an annular valve element is arranged axially displaceably, which seals and slides on the piston when the piston is actuated Cylinder wall rests, wherein it releases a passage opening for the substance to be conveyed during the pressure stroke, which blocks it during the suction stroke.
- Piston pumps of this type have the disadvantage that they drip when conveying low-viscosity substances, since the valve element, usually an O-ring, does not provide sufficient sealing when the piston is at rest.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of improving a piston pump of the type mentioned in such a way that, with a simple design, it does not drip even when low-viscosity substances are conveyed.
- this object is achieved in that the cylinder wall has a circumferential stop ring for the valve element, which is in the starting position of the piston against the stop.
- the pressure of the return spring is used to press the valve element between the piston and cylinder in a sealing manner.
- the stop ring is formed by a form-fitting sleeve inserted into the cylinder, in which the piston is guided.
- the stop ring is formed by a radial deformation of the cylinder wall.
- the cylinder is designed as a step cylinder, the stop ring being located in the vicinity of the step.
- the diameter of the cylinder in front of the step is to be chosen larger or smaller than the diameter of the cylinder behind the step.
- FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section of a piston pump according to the invention.
- the hollow-cylindrical piston (1) has at its rear end a radial groove (2) in which an O-ring (3), the outer diameter of which is axially displaceable, is arranged is larger than that of the piston.
- an O-ring (3) the outer diameter of which is axially displaceable, is arranged is larger than that of the piston.
- two diametrically arranged passage openings (4) are provided, which open into the interior of the piston.
- a sleeve (6) is inserted in the front section of the stepped cylinder (5) in which the piston (1) is guided tightly using a piston ring (11).
- the sleeve (6) has a collar (7) at its front end and an inner circumferential ring (7a) at its rear end, which forms the stop ring.
- the original diameter difference of the stepped cylinder is compensated for by the sleeve (6) used, so that the cylinder diameter is the same size on both sides of the stop ring.
- a return spring (8) is clamped between the cylinder base (12) and the piston (11) and is constantly under tension.
- FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section of a piston pump according to the invention.
- the piston (1) corresponds to that described in FIG. 1.
- the design of the cylinder (5) is made in one piece, the stop ring (6) being obtained by deforming the cylinder wall and separating the cylinder (5) into two cylinder spaces (7, 8), the cylinder diameter being the same on both sides of the stop ring (6) remains.
- the piston (1) is guided in the cylinder chamber (7) tightly using a piston ring (11).
- a reset Spring (9) is clamped between the cylinder base (12) and the piston (1) in the cylinder chamber (8) and is constantly under tension.
- FIG. 3 shows a longitudinal section of a piston pump according to the invention.
- the piston (1) corresponds to that described in Figures 1 and 2.
- the cylinder (5) is held in one piece in its design and of the type of a stepped cylinder.
- the circumferential stop ring (6) is formed on the cylinder wall and forms the boundary between two cylinder spaces (7, 8) of the cylinder (5). Both cylinder rooms are different in diameter.
- the piston (1) is guided in the cylinder chamber (7) tightly using a piston ring (11).
- a return spring (9) is clamped between the cylinder base (12) and the piston (1) in the cylinder chamber (8) and is constantly under tension.
- FIG. 4 shows a longitudinal section of a piston pump according to the invention.
- the design of the piston (1) corresponds to that described in the previous figures.
- a sleeve (9) which is provided with an inner circumferential stop ring (7), is inserted into the cylinder (5) in a form-fitting manner and sealed with an O-ring (6).
- the stop ring (7) obtained by deforming the sleeve forms a umlau on the outside of the sleeve fende ring groove (10), which receives the O-ring (6).
- the circumferential stop ring (7) separates the cylinder (5) into two cylinder spaces, the cylinder diameter remaining the same on both sides of the stop ring (7).
- the piston (1) is guided in the cylinder chamber (13) tightly using a piston ring (14).
- the return spring (15) is clamped between the cylinder base (16) and the piston (1) in the cylinder chamber (12) and is constantly under tension.
- the piston (1) is returned to its starting position by the return spring (8), liquid being sucked in through the valve (10) arranged here in an exemplary embodiment.
- the O-ring (3) lies in a rear position blocking the passage openings (4).
- the O-ring (3) is pressed by the force of the return spring (8) between the ring groove (2) of the piston (1) and the stop ring (7a), so that a liquid-tight seal between the piston (1) and cylinder (5) arises.

Abstract
