Description

The invention relates to a double-chamber container, in particular a double-chamber ampoule.

The known double-chamber containers, which are used to hold two substances, which may only come into contact with one another in use, are designed such that the two substances have to be removed from them in order to be able to bring them together in a separate vessel.

Diese Aufgabe löst ein Doppelkammerbehälter mit den Merkmalen des Anspruches 1.The invention has for its object to provide a double chamber container that offers an improved and expanded possibility of use. This object is achieved by a double-chamber container with the features of claim 1.

The fact that the two containers are separated from each other and can be handled separately, and that thanks to the corresponding cones a tight plug connection can be made, the contents of the two containers can be brought together and mixed together without this additional container would be required. The tight plug closure also allows the two Shake containers. If at least one of the two containers is deformable, it can be compressed somewhat before the plug connection is made, as a result of which a slight negative pressure is created, through which a liquid can be sucked out of the other container. It is also advantageous that the neck of the one container forms an inner cone, which in the case of ampoules is expediently designed in accordance with the standards for medical devices, so that the cone of a syringe can be inserted into it. Finally, the double-chamber container according to the invention offers the possibility of not filling the one container. A relatively large space is then available when plugged together. This is advantageous, for example, when the contents of the filled container have to be moved back and forth or shaken vigorously before use.

In a preferred embodiment, the two closures are molded onto a single toggle. They can then be removed from the neck carrying them practically at the same time with the help of this toggle.

The invention is explained in detail below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. Show it

  • 2 is a side view of the embodiment at 90 ° with respect to FIG. 1 rotated position,
  • Fig. 3 is a view of the embodiment with the connector produced.

An incompletely shown ampoule block consists of a plurality of identical double-chamber ampoules 1 arranged next to one another, which are made of art in the blowing process or by means of vacuum fabric have been molded. Already during the simultaneous deformation of both the ampoule 2 and the other ampoule 3, a separating zone 4 is formed between the body of both ampoules, which initially keeps both ampoules 2 and 3 connected to one another, but can be separated in that the one ampoule 2 moves relative to the other ampoule 3 around this separation zone 4. The two ampoules 2 and 3 were filled with two different substances during the manufacturing process and then sealed.

In this closing process, a neck 5 is formed on the one ampoule 2, which forms an inner cone 6 that widens towards the free end of the neck. This inner cone 6 has the shape and size standardized for medical devices so that the cone of a syringe can be inserted into it in order to transfer the contents of the ampoule into the syringe. A head 7 which closes it is formed on the neck 5 in such a way that it can be separated from the neck 5 without a cutting tool or the like.

The other ampoule 3, which, apart from its neck, has the same shape and size as the ampoule 2, is also filled, if necessary, before its neck 8 is shaped and this is closed. The neck 8 forms an outer cone 9 which is designed to correspond to the inner cone 6. The neck 8 is closed by a head 10 which, like the head 7, is molded onto a gag 11. By bending the gag 11 to the side, the heads 7 and 10 can be separated from the associated neck.

After the ampoules 3 and 4 are opened, they can be separated from one another along the separation zone 4. The outer cone 9 is now inserted into the inner cone 6, as shown in FIG. 3, in order to be able to combine the contents of one ampoule with that of the other. If at least one of the two ampoules is only partially filled, as is usually the case sufficient space available to achieve good mixing by shaking. This is also the case if one of the two ampoules is filled. Since the ampoules 2 and 3 are dimensionally stable but deformable under pressure, it is also possible, if at least one of the two ampoules is only partially filled, to squeeze them between the fingers and only then to establish the plug connection. As a result, the contents of the uncompressed ampoule can at least partially be sucked off in a simple manner.

After the contents of the ampoules are prepared for application, the entire contents can be brought into the ampoule 2 with the inner cone and then the plug connection can be released. The cone of a syringe can now be inserted into the inner cone 6 in order to draw the contents of this ampoule into the syringe. This opening can also take place, as usual, in a position of the ampoule 2 in which the neck 5 points downward.

All of the features mentioned in the above description and also the features that can only be inferred from the drawing are further refinements of the invention, even if they are not particularly emphasized and in particular are not mentioned in the claims.
