Abstract

The invention relates to a device for fixation of valve (3) to a container (1); in this device, an annular collar (4) covers the flange (33) of the valve and assures the clamping of the valve gasket (7) by locking to the bead (23) of the container. A ring (5) surrounds the collar (4) and is screwed onto it, to prevent unlocking of the collar (4) under the influence of the internal pressure of the container.

Pour assurer la distribution sous pression des liquides, on fixe une valve sur le récipient métallique destiné à recevoir le fluide à distribuer. La valve est, de façon connue, constituée par un pot ou corps de valve dans lequel est ménagé un canal d'éjection qui assure la sortie du liquide. Cette valve est généralement solidarisée de la partie supérieure du récipient (lorsque celui-ci est posé sur un fond) à l'aide d'une coupelle métallique, dont la fixation se fait par sertissage, soit sur le rebord supérieur du récipient, soit sur le rebord supérieur d'un dôme métallique fermant le récipient à sa partie supérieure. Il n'est cependant pas toujours possible d'utiliser une coupelle de sertissage : c'est le cas lorsqu'en raison de la hauteur nécessaire pour le sertissage, la valve serait trop surélevée ; c'est le cas, également, lorsque le récipient a une forme ovale en section horizontale car le diamètre de la coupelle de sertissage est trop voisin du petit axe de la section ovale dès que le récipient est de dimensions relativement réduites. On est donc contraint d'utiliser un autre système de fixation de valve. Claims (10)

  1. Device for fixing a dispensing valve (3), the valve body (32) of which includes, in its upper portion, a projecting flange (33), on a metal container (1) intended to contain a pressurised fluid, the said container (1) having an upper rim for fixing the valve, which rim is constituted by an annular bead (23) of rolled sheet metal projecting towards the outside of the container, the fixing device including an annular cup (4), made of plastic, fitted with snap-fastening means (45) intended to be inserted under the bead (23) for fixing the container (1); means (43, 44) for fitting the flange (33) of the valve body (32), at least the central region of the said flange (33) not being covered by the said fitting means; and a ring (5) surrounding the cup (4); characterised in that the annular cup (4) has a radial cross-section in the form of a U whose central part is disposed towards the container and whose branches have their average lines substantially parallel to the axis of the container (1), the inner branch of the U being longer than the outer branch, the inner branch of the said radial cross-section corresponding to an inner skirt (41), the outer branch to an outer skirt (42) coaxial with the first and the central part of the U to an annular plate, the said inner skirt (41) being fitted, on its face turned towards the axis, on the one hand in the vicinity of the annular plate with the said snap-fastening means (45) and, on the other hand at its opposite end, with the said means (43, 44) for fitting the flange (33) of the valve body (32), the outer skirt (42) including on its external face a thread (47); and in that the ring (5) surrounding the cup (4) includes on its internal face a thread (52) corresponding to the thread (47) of the outer skirt (42) of the cup (4).
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterised in that it includes a self-looking system, one element of which is carried by the ring (5) and the other by the cup (4).
  3. Device according to Claim 2, characterised in that the self-looking system is constituted by sets of locking teeth, one set (56) carried by the ring (5) and the other set (46) carried by the external face of the inner skirt (41) of the cup (4).
  4. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the means for fitting the flange (33) of the valve body (32), which means are carried by the inner skirt (41) of the cup, are constituted by the annular plate (43) perpendicular to the axis resting on the upper face of the flange (33) of the valve body, and a bead (44) intended to be inserted under the flange (33) of the valve body (32).
  5. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the snap-fastening means intended to be inserted under the bead (23) for fixing the container are constituted by a snap ring (45).
  6. Device according to Claim 5, characterised in that the snap ring (45) is continuous.
  7. Fixing device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that an annular seal (6) is disposed in a housing (34) made on the upper face of the flange (33) of the valve body (32), the said seal bearing on the means (43, 44) for fitting the cup (4).
  8. Fixing device according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that an annular seal (7) is disposed around the valve body (32) between the bead (23) for fixing the container and the means (43, 44) for fitting the cup.
  9. Fixing device according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterised in that at least a portion of the ring (5)/cup (4) threading (47, 52) is slightly conical.
  10. Pressurised container equipped with a valve fixing device according to one of Claims 1 to 9.
