Zugleich ergibt sich dabei der Vorteil, daß der Behälter aufgrund seiner relativ kleinen Abmessungen auch auf Baustellen mit nur wenig Arbeitsraum eingesetzt werden kann, wobei die große Auslegerreichweite des Heckkrans des Spezialfahrzeugs ermöglicht, den Behälter an Orten abzusetzen, an denen ein üblicher großvolumiger Behälter, wie er üblicherweise auf Baustellen verwendet wird, nicht abgesetzt werden kann. Claims (7)

  1. Transport container for a vehicle equipped with gripper jaws, the container being made up of two parts connected by a hinge (3) provided at the top, the two parts being pivotable relative to one another in order to open and close the container, and the container having a locking device (6,7) which can be actuated by means of an actuating device (14) which can be attached to the container from outside, characterised in that the locking device (6,7) holds the container in the closed position and is formed by locking levers (4,4') which are hinged to the base of the container opposite each other so as to be pivotable in the plane of the base, the ends of the locking levers located near the centre of the base engaging with another in the locking position, whilst the ends of the locking levers (4,4') located on the outside of the container can be acted upon by the actuating device (14) in order to pivot the locking levers.
  2. Transport container according to claim 1, characterised in that the outer ends of the locking levers (4,4') engage in a hollow section (9) formed on the base of the container, which is provided on the outside with a recess (24) for the engagement of the actuating device (14).
  3. Transport container according to claim 2, characterized in that the actuating device (14) has a hydraulically operated guide rod arrangement (16) for actuating the locking levers (4,4') and for engaging in the hollow section (9) by means of retaining portions (21).
  4. Transport container according to the preceding claims, characterised in that a step (25) for positioning gripper jaws (10) is formed on the outside of the container.
  5. Transport container according to the preceding claims, characterised in that the locking levers (4,4') are each biased in the direction of the locking position by a spring (24).
  6. Transport container according to the preceding claims, characterised in that runners (26) are formed on the underside of the base.
  7. Transport container according to the preceding claims, characterised in that loops (27) for receiving a cable or a chain are formed on the upper side.
