Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe bei einem Container der gattungsgemäßen Art dadurch gelöst, daß an den seitlichen Rändern des Deckels die äußeren Enden von Parallelenkern ange­lenkt sind, deren inneren Enden auf mit den Behälterseitenwänden verbundenen Bolzen oder Zapfen gelagert sind, und daß eine Betä­tigungseinrichtung zum Verschwenken des Deckels zwischen seiner Verschluß- und Offenstellung und eine Verriegelungseinrichtung zum Verriegeln des Deckels in der Schließstellung vorgesehen sind. Die erfindungsgemäß vorgesehenen Parallellenker, deren zueinander parallelen durch die zugehörigen Gelenkpunkte gezogenen Linien schräg zur Längsmittelebene des Behälters verlaufen, definieren mit dem Deckel ein Viergelenksystem, in dem sich der Deckel in seinen jeweiligen Endlagen entweder in der Öffnungs- oder in der Verschlußstellung befindet. Durch die Parallellenker ist der Deckel an vier Punkten geführt, so daß er in seiner Verschlußstellung bei entsprechender Verriegelung große von innen her durch das Füllgut auf diesen wirkende Kräfte aufzunehmen vermag. dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß an den seitlichen Rändern des Deckels (4) die äußeren Enden von Parallellenkern (5,6,5′,6′) angelenkt sind, deren inneren Enden auf mit den Behälterseitenwänden (7) verbundenen Bolzen (8,11) oder Zapfen gelagert sind, und
daß eine Betätigungseinrichtung zum Verschwenken des Deckels (4) zwischen seiner Verschluß- und Öffnungsstellung und eine Verriegelung zum Verriegeln des Deckels (4) in der Verschlußstellung vorgesehen sind.
