Abstract

In an aeration mat (1), although the backrest (4) serving to support the back of a person lying in a bath tub (11) is assigned to a whirlpool device (10) for the back, it is not directly connected to the air supply via aeration ducts but can merely be washed underneath by air which emerges through directional ports in the ends facing it of the aeration ducts (15), which is provided for the lower part of the body, provided with outlet ports over their length, of the base support part (3). Within the backrest (4), the air is uniformly distributed by a guide device (22) and allowed to emerge to the backrest surface. As a result, all ports serving for the emergence of air are exposed to approximately the same hydrostatic pressure. In addition, for the control of the whirlpool, an actuating pedal (32) is provided at the foot end (6) of the mat (1), so that the recumbent person can undertake all requisite adjustments by foot pressure, and hence without any other change of position. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to an air distributor underlay for a bubble bath device according to the preamble of claim 1.

The support body mentioned therein is provided with a base support part which is intended for the approximately horizontal arrangement and therefore, for example, as a base for the body region of the person lying in a bathtub, which extends approximately to the lumbar vertebrae to the feet. Furthermore, the support body is assigned a back support that is to be arranged upright or inclined, which adjoins the base support part in the case of use, for example in the longitudinal direction, and for a body part correspondingly extending in the height direction, for example for the back of the body person lying on the base support part is determined. Air outlet openings are also assigned to the support body, in particular in a distribution and with a width such that a specific outlet cross section is determined per unit area of the support body as the sum of all individual cross sections of the outlet openings of this surface unit. The air flowing out through the outlet openings creates air bubbles in the bathing water, which produce a more or less strong massage effect when they hit the person's skin.

If the air distribution mat is designed without a backrest, for example only about as long as the bottom of the bathtub, the person's back lies directly against the back wall of the bathtub and the air bubbles that rise from the air distribution mat only affect the lower part of the body Person. Air distribution mats are also known, which are longer than the bathtub floor and can therefore form a back support that rests against the back wall of the bathtub and rises from the base support part, the air outlet openings being distributed over the entire length of the air distribution mat, i.e. also in the area of the back support with approximately the same specific outlet cross-section as in the area of the base support part. Since the hydrostatic pressure of the bath water decreases with increasing height of the back support, the compressed air communicating with all outlet openings tends to flow out much more strongly in the higher areas of the back support than in the lower areas or than in the area of the base support part, so that a very uneven air outlet results. In particular with lower air delivery capacity, which is desirable for certain applications, it can even happen that no air escapes in the area of the base support part, while the entire delivery air is concentrated on the back area.

There is no closed air-conducting connection via hoses, ducts and the like between the base support part and the back support. available, that is, the air outlet from the backrest is decoupled from the air outlet from the base support part. This decoupling can be hydrostatic and / or hydrodynamic. It can be provided that a sprinkling device for the back is spatially essentially only or mainly assigned to the base support part. The largest part of the sum of the outlet cross sections of the outlet openings for the back whirlpool device can be below half the height or length of the back or the back support or approximately at the height of the base support part. As a result, the outlet openings of the back whirlpool device can also be at approximately the same hydrostatic pressure or be at approximately the same height as the outlet openings assigned to the lower body area, which leads to a substantially more uniform air outlet even in areas of the air distribution mat that are deeper below water. It is conceivable to also provide air outlet openings directly in the area of the backrest, these expediently having throttling cross sections such that they have a significantly smaller specific outlet cross section per unit area of the backrest than in the area of the base support part, or this specific outlet cross section with increasing distance from the base support part and thus also decreases with decreasing hydrostatic counter pressure. A pressure reducer can also be provided in the air supply line for the openings of the backrest. It is particularly expedient if the specific outlet cross section is zero at least in the largest area of the backrest, that is to say no outlet openings are provided in the area of the backrest. In this case, the backrest, if used, only serves to keep the back of the person away from the back wall of the Bathtub and possibly as a guide body for distributing the air bubbles flowing from the base support part in the direction of the back or to the back wall of the bathtub and possibly along cavities between this back wall and the back of the person.

For the back of the person or for the back support, an air rinse independent of the channels closed over the circumference, in particular from the support base part, is provided.

A generic air distribution pad with the features described so far is disclosed in DE-C-827 391. In this publication, a device for whirlpools is described, in which air is blown out from a whirlpool grate in the floor level of the tub in the direction of the back area and is thus used in ascending order for back bubbling through spaces in the back slatted frame.

Die DE-C-922 849 zeigt eine Vorrichtung für Sprudelbäder, bei der sowohl eine Rückenlehne als auch ein Sitzrost Sprudelrohre aufweisen und das Rohrsystem der Rückenlehne und das Rohrsystem des Sitzrostes über Schlauchleitungen miteinander verbunden sind.DE-C-922 849 shows a device for whirlpools in which both a backrest and a seat grate have sparkling pipes and the pipe system of the backrest and the pipe system of the seat grate are connected to one another via hose lines.

The invention has for its object to avoid disadvantages of the known designs and in particular to design an air distribution pad of the type mentioned so that even if, for example, intensive back fizzing is provided, sufficient air in the deeper areas of the pad, especially in the area of Basic support part emerges.

This object is achieved by an air distributor underlay having the features of claim 1. Characteristic here are guide devices for air which has escaped into the water from the base overlay part and is guided under the top of the backrest overlay.

The backrest expediently has open to the base part, but not to the air ducts which are closed over the circumference, but which are tightly connected or continuously passing into them, which are provided with passages to the top or back contact surface of the backrest and, if appropriate, to the back wall of the bathtub, so that they essentially only have to be delimited on both sides directly by the backrest, whereas they can be delimited on the sides parallel to the level of the backrest by the back wall of the bathtub and by the back of the person.

Preferred embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims.

An advantageous further development of the subject matter of the invention is that air outlet directional openings are provided for back bubbling, which are provided essentially only in the region of the end of the base support part associated with the back and are essentially directed away from the other end thereof. These directional openings can only be provided on the base support part or essentially only in the area of the side of the back support facing the base support part. The directional openings can be aligned in a nozzle-like manner approximately parallel to the plane of the base support part or parallel to the longitudinal direction thereof, so that the air emerging from them is directed against the oppositely inclined back wall of the bathtub and the flow thus generated reflects upwards thereon can be. Immediately above the straightening openings, a guiding device in the manner of a shield formed by the base part and / or the backrest can be provided, which at least partially prevents direct passage of air in the region of the bend between the base part and the backrest.

The air outlet openings of the base part are expediently supplied by air distribution channels which, for example, extend from the foot end of the air distribution mat in its longitudinal direction, but can also be formed by flat chambers in the base part or by its design as a multi-chamber profile. The outlet openings are expediently formed directly by openings in the walls of the distribution channels, which are otherwise closed over the circumference and over their length, that is to say essentially between the underside and the upper contact surface of the base contact part, in particular on its end face facing the back support. Such distribution channels are expediently not provided in the area or on the backrest according to the invention, but are replaced by the aforementioned guide devices, although distribution channels in the area of the backrest are also conceivable. In any case, it is advantageous if the back support part, at least on its top facing the back of the person open areas, channels or the like. forms, which are preferably at least in the longitudinal direction of the backrest, so that the air can flow up to the neck or head of the person in addition to the back. Such channels, which can also be provided in the transverse direction of the backrest and can connect the longitudinal channels, act expediently with regard to the flow with the directional openings or the end of the respective associated distribution channel of the base part which has them, wherein they can be aligned with the directional openings, so that the Air emerging from the directional openings, for example, via a short The route flows freely through the water and then flows into the channels of the backrest without being influenced by lateral guide elements.

It is particularly advantageous if the backrest is designed in the manner of a grate or a relatively thick lattice or meshwork that is permeable over its thickness, so that it is evenly penetrated by air passage openings over most of its surface transverse to its plane through which the air flushing the back support can pass to the person's back.

In order to be able to convert the air distribution base in a simple manner for very different applications, the back support can be removed from the base support part, it being conceivable to make a detachable connection. The backrest can also be provided without direct attachment to or in connection with the base support part and can only be secured in position by direct adhesive connection to the back wall of the bathtub. This can be done, for example, by securing members for securing the position in relation to the bathtub, in particular by at least one suction cup. Furthermore, it can only be aligned and secured by attaching or placing its associated end to or on the base support part. The backrest can thereby be removed and attached without the base-rest part having to be held, removed from the water or otherwise handled.

If the backrest has a neck and / or headrest, which is preferably designed to be pressure-elastic in the manner of a cushioned cushion, this can also be applied to the air flow of the back bubbling, for example the air rinsing or the guiding devices of the backrest are connected and therefore air bubbles flow through to the neck or head.

Yet another type of application of the air distributor underlay becomes possible if the device for sprinkling the back can be switched off or switched on or switched on independently, independently of the device for the other sprinkling of the body. In this case, the directional openings are expediently based on at least one separate distribution channel which can be closed by a valve.

In the described air distributor pad, a particularly advantageous arrangement results if the support body of the treatment unit with at least one actuating pedal for changing at least one parameter of the bubbling, for example the air quantity, the air pressure, the air distribution or the like. is provided. This operating pedal can be arranged in a simple manner directly on the rotary valve of a control valve and practically form a foot support for one or both feet of the person lying down.

Furthermore, at the foot end of the supporting body, an air inlet connecting piece protruding above the upper side can be provided, on which, in particular, a rotary slide valve of the control valve, which is provided with two pedal wings projecting opposite one another, is mounted.

In order to be able to easily remove any water that has seeped into the air distributor base or the distributor channels, a closable drain opening for residual water is provided, which is preferably opened in a position of the control valve which differs from the other control positions, so that there is no separate closure the drain opening is required.

The air distributor underlay 1 according to FIGS. 1 to 3 essentially consists of a one-part or multi-part support body 2, which can be composed of a one-part or multi-part base support part 3 and a back support 4. The backrest 4 is attached to the support part 3 either without a direct connection, possibly without contact via a gap or via a connecting coupling 5, and can have the same width as the support part 3, which corresponds to the inside width of a bathtub. The connecting coupling 5 can have or form at least one joint with a hinge axis parallel to the plane of the base 1 and perpendicular to its longitudinal direction, so that the backrest 4 is pivoted by at least approximately 90 °, in particular 180 °, from the position parallel to the support part 3 can that it is in its end position on the top of the support part 3.

The underlay 1 or the support part 3 forms a foot end 6 at the end facing away from the head end and away from it on the support part 3 an end face 7 which is essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the mat and which, when the back support 4 is attached, has its corresponding edge 8 at a distance or essentially spaced opposite.

The pad 1 is designed so that it forms a body bubbling device 9 in the area of the support part 3 for the body of the person lying on it and a back bubbling device 10 in the area of the back pad 4 for the back of this person. The two sparkling devices 9, 10 can be designed such that they can inevitably only be operated together or else independently of one another. For the operation of the whirlpool equipment the pad 1 is expediently placed in a water-filled bathtub 11 in such a way that the support part 3 lies on the bathtub floor 12 and extends approximately over its entire length, while the back pad 4 is inclined at an angle to the correspondingly inclined back wall 13 of the bathtub 11 is present. In the area of the foot end 6, the base 1 expediently has a central air inlet connection stub 14, which is located approximately in the middle of its width and projects upwards, to which a compressed air hose indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 1 can be detachably connected by plugging on. Via this hose, the base 1 is supplied with compressed air by the blower of a basic device standing outside and, for example, next to the bathtub 11 on the floor.

The support part 3 is essentially composed of a plurality of, for example five, air distributor channels 15, 16, 17 which are essentially the same or have a cross-section and parallel to and between these and preferably on the longitudinal sides of the support part 3, preferably rod-shaped or longitudinal profile-shaped support elements 18 , 19, although it is conceivable to form the support part 3 over most of its length or over its entire width essentially only by means of distributor channels and, if appropriate, spacers connecting them. The support elements 18 lying between the distribution channels 15, 16, 17 can all be of the same design, which also applies to the outermost support elements 19 which, however, according to FIG. 2 have a narrower shape that deviates from the support elements 18. All distribution channels 15, 16, 17, which are designed in cross-section over their entire length as substantially closed, tubular profiles with, for example, approximately semicircular cross-section and flat side lying above, are via a transverse channel lying in the foot end 6 or formed by this with its associated ends together connected to the connecting piece 14 and extend approximately over the entire length of the support part 3, but not up to the back support 4, opposite the edge 8 of which the associated ends of the distribution channels 15, 16, 17 can protrude at a short distance such that they over the end edge 7 of the support part 3 protrude slightly.

Die Richtöffnungen 20 gehören insofern zur Rücken-Sprudeleinrichtung 10.The ends of the distributor channels 15, 16, 17 associated with the head end of the base 1, expediently in a common plane lying approximately at right angles to the mat plane, are closed with end walls, which can be formed, for example, by cap-shaped nozzle heads inserted into these ends and in each of which at least one straightening opening 20, in particular a plurality or a plurality of straightening openings 20 oriented parallel to one another or differently in the form of through holes, is provided in the manner of nozzle openings. The directional axes of the directional openings 20 of each distribution channel 15, 16, 17 can be oriented differently both within the plane of the support part 3, that is to say laterally obliquely outwards or inwards, and also transversely to the plane of the support part 3, that is to say inclined upwards or downwards Direction to the backrest 4, the desired air distribution and water flow is achieved. In this respect, the directional openings 20 belong to the back whirlpool device 10.

Air emerging from the directional openings 20 flows through the gap between the support part 3 and the back support 4 and then at least for the most part passes under the back support 4, that is, between the top thereof and the back wall 13 of the bathtub 11, where it is guided and distributed by a suitable guide device 22 is that it emerges in a suitable, for example, approximately uniform distribution from the top of the backrest 4 and thus against the back of the person. In the illustrated embodiment the backrest 4, for example, is formed in one piece in a rust-like or lattice-like manner in such a way that it has approximately along its entire length, closely spaced longitudinal channels 23 in the form of slot-shaped openings which are separated from one another by profile webs which lie between them, these profile webs merging into outer transverse frames which are connected in the manner of a peripheral frame with laterally outer profile webs. The profile webs, for example U-shaped in cross section and directed towards the underside of the back support 4, also have longitudinal channels 24 on their undersides, which are however covered upwards, but can form lateral outlet openings to the longitudinal channels 23, for example, in that their profile legs have a have a lower, not up to the back wall 13 leg height than the profile legs of the outermost profile webs or that their profile legs are provided with openings.

Furthermore, the ends of the longitudinal channels 23, 24 facing the directional openings 20 can be widened or narrowed, and this can influence how the air emerging from the directional openings 20 is distributed over the individual longitudinal channels. The longitudinal ducts 23, 24 which are indirectly connected to the ends of the distributor ducts 15, 16, 17 and are open along their length partly to the top and partly to the underside of the back support 4, for example without a direct mechanical connection in flow line connection with the respective associated duct 15, 16 , 17 stand that they are essentially in alignment with this. In the exemplary embodiment shown, in particular the longitudinal channels 23 open on the top and bottom of the backrest 4 are aligned with the distribution channels 15, 16, 17, although it is also conceivable for individual or all longitudinal channels 24 to be aligned with the distribution channels 15, 16, 17. The passages for the air bubbles formed by the longitudinal channels 23 are designated by 25 in FIG. 2.

The backrest 4 can be secured releasably with securing members 26, for example suction cups lying on its underside directly opposite the bathtub 11 or its back wall 13, so that the outer profile legs of their laterally outer profile webs as well as the outer profile leg of the upper cross frame are approximately flow-tight to the Connect the back wall 13 so that the air entering through the open edge 8 can escape essentially only through the passages 25 and thus from the back contact surface 29 facing away from the back 30 of the back support 4 to the back of the person lying thereon.

The lying on the top of the support part 3 support surface 27 is essentially formed only by the support elements 18, 19, compared to their approximately in a common plane the upper sides of the distribution channels 15, 16, 17 down by a small amount or by one Part of the thickness of the support elements 18, 19 are set back so that they practically do not come into contact with the person lying on the support part 3. In this upper side, each distribution channel 15, 16, 17 has bore-like air outlet openings 21 distributed over its length, each distribution channel being provided with such outlet openings in approximately the same distribution at least over part of its length. The outlet openings 21 are arranged in such a way that they are omitted in the area between the legs of the person lying down, for which purpose the central distribution channel 17 in the exemplary embodiment shown has a longitudinal section adjoining the foot end 6, which is formed by outlet openings is free, while the outermost distribution channels 15 are provided with outlet openings 21 over their entire length.

When operating the air distributor underlay 1, compressed air flows into the transverse channel at the foot end 6, from there into all distributor channels 15, 16, 17 and then this compressed air simultaneously emerges from each distributor channel 15, 16, 17 both from the directional openings 20 in the direction of the backrest 4 as well as out of the outlet openings 21. At least a part of the outlet openings of the support part 3 could also be provided on the side of the distribution channels, so that the exiting air flows upward through the air-permeable support elements. The underside 28 of the support part 3 is formed in the illustrated embodiment by the distribution channels 15, 16, 17, so that there is a well-defined support of the support part 3 on the tub floor 12.

A foot-actuated control valve 31 is provided to control the amount of air flowing into the base 1 and, if necessary, also for its optional distribution to one or more distribution channels 15, 16, 17, which valve is expediently structurally combined with the connecting piece 14, for example by the fact that it can be moved Valve part in the form of a rotary valve 34 is rotatably mounted on or on the connecting piece 14 about an axis perpendicular to the plane of the support part 3. This movable valve part, which forms with the fixed valve part, for example formed by the connecting piece 14 to the transverse channel and the passage cross-section variable valve openings, can be actuated with an actuating pedal 32, which is expediently mechanically rigidly attached directly to the rotary valve 34 without movable intermediate members and by approximately two aligned with each other and opposite from the outside of the rotary valve 34 laterally protruding pedal wing 33 is formed. On these pedal wings 33, the person lying on the pad 1 can support their feet on the one hand against slipping in the bathtub and on the other hand, by pressing the foot against one or the other pedal wings 33, the control valve 31 can be actuated in a simple manner at any time without that the person would have to change their outstretched position in the bathtub.

The base 1 or the support part 3 also has an outlet opening 35 which is advantageously provided in the region of the foot end 6 on the underside and which can preferably be closed or opened with the control valve 31. The arrangement can be such that the drain opening 35 is closed for any water that may have penetrated into the base 1 at all control positions of the control valve 31 which serve for air regulation and rotates another position going beyond these, for example by 180 ° with respect to the position according to FIG. 2 Position is provided in which the drain opening 35 is opened.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the support part 3 is also formed several times in the longitudinal direction so that its mat members 36, 37 have approximately the same longitudinal extent as the back support 4. The only three or more mat members 36, 37 of the support part 3 can be pivoted against each other at least 90 ° or even by approximately 180 ° from the position just spread out, so that the support part 3 can be brought into a U-shape for storage and thereby between limited a space for further parts of the whirlpool bath equipment to the U-legs. Adjacent mat members 36, 37 are connected to one another via hinge zones 38, the hinge axes of which lie at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the base 1 and approximately in the plane of the support part 3. With a correspondingly flexible design of the distribution channels 15, 16, 17 or of their sections lying between the adjacent mat members 36, 37, the distributor channels 15, 16, 17 can directly form the associated joints between the mat members 36, 37, which are otherwise spaced apart.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, on the other hand, the support part 3a is essentially made up of one-piece elements continuous over its length or as a non-foldable grate, which, however, can be so flexible that it can be rolled up.

Mit dem Steuerventil 31a, das an einem von den Tragelementen 18a, 19a gesonderten Querkanal 6a vorgesehen ist, können die Verteilerkanäle 15a, 16a, 17a jeweils gesondert oder gemeinsam mit dem Anschlußstutzen leitungsverbunden werden.4, separate distribution channels 15a, 16a and 17a are provided for the air outlet openings 21a and the directional openings 20a, so that the air supply for the directional openings 20a on the one hand and for the outlet openings 21a on the other hand can be switched on and off independently. The central distribution channel 17a is provided exclusively for the straightening openings 20a and, for this purpose, merges at the head end of the support part 3a into a transverse channel which extends at least over part of the length of the end face 7a and which is provided with the uniformly or unevenly distributed straightening openings 20a. The or all distribution channels 15a, 16a lying on both sides adjacent to the distribution channel 17a, on the other hand, have the outlet openings 21. With the control valve 31a, which is provided on a transverse channel 6a separate from the support elements 18a, 19a, the distribution channels 15a, 16a, 17a can each be connected separately or jointly with the connecting piece.

As further shown in FIG. 4, the back support 4a can also be narrower than the support part 3a and have a connecting projection 5a with which it can be placed loosely on the head end of the supporting part 3a in such a way that the connecting projection 5a shields the directional openings 20a upwards and thus the air flowing out of the directional openings 20a is inevitably forced under the back support 4a.

The backrest 4a according to FIG. 4 has an outer frame 39 which also forms the connecting projection 5a with a transverse frame, the inner field of which is provided with a mesh structure 40 which is practically air-permeable in all directions. The meshwork 40 can, for example, have a support grid located on its rear side and from it to the back contact surface, which projects like grid head-like studs distributed over its entire surface, between which the air flowing into the underside of the back support 4a flows both in the transverse and in the longitudinal direction Spread over the entire surface and can emerge to the back contact surface. In this respect, the meshwork 40 is a three-dimensional lattice work with a back contact side and a support side separated therefrom via an air-permeable intermediate zone.

As further shown in FIG. 4, a neck or headrest 41, in particular detachably attached to the back support 4a, can also be provided, which is expediently inserted into a U-shaped cutout in the transverse frame of the frame 39 facing away from the support part 3a. The headrest 41, which is advantageously formed by an upholstered cushion, is expediently connected indirectly to the air supply, in particular via the directional openings 20a, in such a way that air flows through it and exits in a distributed manner on its head contact side.
