Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for dusting a card, according to the preamble of the first claim.
- the card in addition to the carding function, the card also has the function of removing impurities from the cotton wool fed in. These are primarily fine impurities, since the coarse impurities were removed by the blowroom machines before the card.
- This method of removing impurities includes, in a manner known per se, suction at those points at which impurities are removed from the material fed in.
- the disadvantage is that the relatively long flexible hoses largely cover the card side, so that if maintenance work has to be carried out on this side, essentially all hoses together with the connection box have to be dismantled in order to release the card side for maintenance work.
- Another disadvantage is the air resistance of the relatively long hoses.
- the object of the invention is therefore to find a device which on the one hand releases the card side for maintenance work in a few simple steps and on the other hand keeps the flow resistance of the entire air duct as small as possible.
- the invention is not to show where and how such dirt is excreted, but rather a device described below, by means of which the suction points, which are in themselves, are guided by air lines 6 onto a card end face 7 and on this side with one each Roll membrane 8 are provided as an elastic outlet mouth of the air lines 6 so that a removable air manifold 9 can be connected to it.
- the rolling membranes 8 are usually made of elastic rubber, so that when the air collecting lines 9 are pressed against the rolling membranes 8, they can yield as far as is necessary for a good seal between all rolling membranes 8 and the air collecting line 9.
- the air collecting line 9 has on both sides with a view of FIG. 2 seen, a hook 10 each, which is received by a provided on a cover wall 18 described later clamping device 11 (Fig. 2 and 3).
- This tensioning device 11 (only one is shown in FIG. 3) has a counter hook 12 which engages in the hook 10 and is pivotably mounted in a cylindrical bearing bush 13, which is slidably and rotatably supported in one part in a slideway 14.
- the slideway is provided in a guide element 43 which is firmly connected to the cover wall 18.
- the part of the bearing bush 13 which is not guided in the slideway 14 is connected to one end of a connecting rod 15 which is pivotally held at the other end in a rocker arm 16 which in turn is pivotally received in a support 17 which is fixedly connected to the cover wall 18 is.
- the tensioning device 11 functions in the sense of a tension lock, ie, when the rocker arm 16 is in the operating position and rests on the cover wall 18, the force acting on the hook 12 cannot open the rocker arm 16, but must be opened manually by pivoting the lever 16 away happen from the cover wall 18.
- the cover wall 18 is in turn part of a housing 19, which also comprises a side wall 20 on which the air lines 6 and thus the rolling membranes 8 are held.
- Fig. 1 u. 2 As from Fig. 1 u. 2 can be seen, 2 such housings are provided to the left and the air lines right, with a view of Fig. 1 u. 2 seen to record the drum 2.
- the housing 19 are firmly connected to the card 1.
- the air collecting line 9 comprises a left branch 21 and a right branch 22, viewed with a view of the figures, which unite in the exhaust air line 23.
- Each branch of the air manifold has an end wall 24, which essentially forms a flat connection surface for the rolling membranes 8.
- suction openings 25 are provided which are arranged congruently with the rolling membranes 8.
- the air manifold 9 is housed in a chassis 26 which is movable by means of swivel casters 27.
- handles are arranged on the chassis 26 in order to manually move the air collecting lines 9 from the position shown in FIG. 2 to an operating position (not shown) in which the end wall 24 lies closely against the rolling membranes 8, and the The counter hook 12 of each tensioning device 11 has taken the corresponding hook 10 of the air collecting lines, and the rocker arm 16 is pivoted against the cover wall 18 in order to create a tight connection between the rolling membranes 8 and the end wall 24.
- the exhaust air line 23 is connected to an exhaust fan (not shown), which in turn transfers its exhaust air to a filter (not shown).
- Fan and filter are part of the known prior art and are therefore not described in detail. It should only be mentioned that the fan and possibly also the filter could be provided on the chassis 26.
- the hooks 10 In order to position the air collecting line 9 exactly when the chassis 26 is being moved, the hooks 10 have a guide surface 28 which is pushed onto the cover wall 18 with a small amount of play, for example 2-3 mm, so that the roller membranes 8 cover the suction openings 25.
- FIG. 6 shows an air manifold 29, the air manifold branches 30 and 31 of which are stepped in the direction of flow of the air flowing therein such that the air speed is essentially the same over the entire length of the branch.
- 31 can also be designed in such a way that a small increase in air speed, for example by one meter per second, occurs after each air inlet becomes.
- the horizontal part 33 of the air manifold branch 30 and the horizontal part 34 of the air manifold branch 31 have a cross section which guarantees that the air speed in this horizontal part never drops below a given speed which is necessary in order to avoid that parts settle down from the air flow and on the wall of the horizontal part 33 respectively. 34 stay put.
- the air manifold 29 is accommodated in the same way as the air manifold 9 in the chassis 26, which is indicated by dash-dotted lines.
- FIG. 7 shows an air manifold 35 which, in contrast to the air manifold 9, has air manifold branches 36 and 37 directed upwards (as seen in FIG. 7), so that the air flow and thus also the separated dirt is conveyed downward, so that there is no danger settling of the extracted dirt.
- the horizontal parts 38 and 38, respectively. 39 of the air manifold branches 36 resp. 37 also provided with a cross section, which prevents dirt from being excreted and remains in these horizontal parts.
- the horizontal parts 38 and 39 open into a riser pipe 40, which in turn opens into the exhaust air pipe 23.
- the air manifold 35 is received by the chassis 26, which in turn is indicated by dash-dotted lines.
- Another variant for making the air collection lines movable is that the air collection line itself is pivotally attached (not shown) to the card, so that the card end face 7 is released for the maintenance work mentioned by pivoting away.
- the tensioning device 11 can be dispensed with because the sealing edge 42 lies tight against the end wall 24 if there is negative pressure in the suction system arises.

Description
The invention relates to a device for dusting a card, according to the preamble of the first claim.
It is known per se that, in addition to the carding function, the card also has the function of removing impurities from the cotton wool fed in. These are primarily fine impurities, since the coarse impurities were removed by the blowroom machines before the card.
This method of removing impurities includes, in a manner known per se, suction at those points at which impurities are removed from the material fed in.
Experience has shown that the number and type of such cleaning or suction points is corresponding to the Card construction different.
For this reason, the suction points shown and described in the description are only listed, for example, and are in no way intended to limit the inventive concept.
In the cards known to date and sold worldwide by the applicant under the designation C4, the suction air of the suction points is guided to one side of the card by means of flexible hoses and on this side to a connection box connected to a vacuum source.
The disadvantage is that the relatively long flexible hoses largely cover the card side, so that if maintenance work has to be carried out on this side, essentially all hoses together with the connection box have to be dismantled in order to release the card side for maintenance work.
Another disadvantage is the air resistance of the relatively long hoses.
The object of the invention is therefore to find a device which on the one hand releases the card side for maintenance work in a few simple steps and on the other hand keeps the flow resistance of the entire air duct as small as possible.
This object is achieved with the invention mentioned in the characterizing part of the first claim.
Further advantageous embodiments are listed in the further claims.
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that on the one hand the maintenance of the machine is considerably simplified and on the other hand the operating costs are reduced by reducing the air resistance.

Furthermore, it is known that in the prior art, depending on the construction, the cards are suctioned off at various points in order to transport away the dirt which has been removed from the material to be processed.
The invention is not to show where and how such dirt is excreted, but rather a device described below, by means of which the suction points, which are in themselves, are guided by
The
In order to ensure that the air collecting
This tensioning device 11 (only one is shown in FIG. 3) has a
The part of the
The
As from Fig. 1 u. 2 can be seen, 2 such housings are provided to the left and the air lines right, with a view of Fig. 1 u. 2 seen to record the drum 2. The
As can be seen from FIGS. 2, 4 and 5, the
In these end
The
Likewise, handles (not shown) are arranged on the
The
In order to position the
Ausserdem weist jeder Luftleitungsast 30 resp. In addition, each
34 liegen bleiben. The gradations of the
The
The
Like the
Another variant for making the air collection lines movable is that the air collection line itself is pivotally attached (not shown) to the card, so that the
If the rolling
