Abstract

The packaging container for receiving a flowable product consists of a flexible bag resting in a rigid envelope and having a closeable bung (1) and an opening assigned to said bung in the envelope, it being possible for the bung to be pulled out of the envelope by means of a grip attachment, arranged on said bung, and to be fixed at the edge of the opening by an abutment. A solution is to be provided which allows the bung of a container of the relevant type to be put into a functional position of readiness for metering immediately after it has been pulled out of and positioned on the rigid packaging envelope and, in doing so, to guarantee that unintentional product outflow does not take place in any metering positions, above all, however, in the closed position. This is achieved in that the bung (1) is provided with a laterally directed product outlet tube (7) which branches radially and laterally from an axially directed cylindrical inside tube (5) of the bung, it being possible for the outlet cross-section (8) of said tube to be closed and exposed by means of a cylindrical tube (10), extending into the inside tube (5), with a corresponding opening (14) of a closure cap (9), which is rotatable in relation to the bung, the outlet cross-section (9) or the opening (14) being constructed with an edge bead (19) on the mutually facing side, and in that the radial extension of the product outlet tube (7) is equal to or smaller than that of the abutment of the bung (1). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a packaging container for receiving a flowable product, which consists of a flexible sack stored in a rigid envelope with a closable outlet bung and an associated opening in the envelope, the outlet bung being pullable out of the envelope by means of a handle attachment arranged thereon and with an abutment can be fixed at the edge of the opening.

In known packaging containers of this type (EP-A-0 266 718, state of the art according to Article 54 (3) EPC), the outlet bung can be closed by means of a screw cap, so that, as is often required, the screw cap can be removed in a metered manner by a product The separately supplied outlet tap must be replaced, which has an open and closed position, is relatively bulky and is therefore only to be retrofitted can be installed immediately before use.

The object of the invention is to provide a solution which makes it possible to put the outlet bung of a container of the type in question immediately after it has been pulled out and positioned on the rigid packaging wrapper in a metered functional ready position and thereby ensure that in all metering positions, but above all in the closed position, there is no unwanted product spillage.

In a packaging container of the type described in the introduction, this object is achieved according to the invention in that the outlet bung is provided with a laterally directed product outlet pipe which branches radially laterally from an axially directed cylindrical inner pipe of the outlet bung, the outlet cross section of which extends into the inner pipe by means of a cylindrical tube with a corresponding opening of a closure cap rotatable relative to the outlet bung can be closed and released, the outlet cross section or the opening being formed with an edge bead on the side facing one another, and in that the radial extension of the product outlet tube is equal to or less than that of the abutment of the Outflow is.

As a result of this design, the outlet bung is in a ready-to-operate position ready for use immediately after it has been pulled out of the rigid casing and positioned by means of an abutment on the rigid casing, ie without the screw cap having to be replaced beforehand by a separately supplied outlet tap with opening and closing Position required and without the pulling out and positioning of the outlet bung is made more difficult compared to the previously known. Through the bead on the outlet cross section of the product outlet pipe or the corresponding opening on the inner pipe of the Closure cap ensures that even with very crawl-friendly products in the closed position of the tap a seal is given as good as with a screw cap, so that even if the container in question falls over, no unwanted product discharge can occur.

A closure is known, in particular for litter boxes (DE-GM 84 02 280), in which a product outlet channel is formed in a rotatable closure cap, which branches off radially laterally from an axially directed tube of the closure cap, which also has an axially directed, firmly remaining outlet tube surrounds, in which openings communicating with the product outlet channel are formed in a specific delivery position. However, by rotating the closure cap with the product outlet channel relative to the outlet openings in the stationary inner tube of the outlet bung, a secure seal is not guaranteed for liquid products which are very easy to creep, while this is acceptable for scatter cans.

It is also advantageous to provide a snap-bead-groove connection in the area of the lower end of the cylindrical tube of the closure cap and the inner tube of the outlet bung and a flange arranged there, because this locks the closure cap in the axial direction because of the high rigidity caused by the flange in the radial direction is effected particularly safely.

It contributes to a stable and secure pivoting of the closure cap on the outlet bung if the closure cap with a cylindrical outer wall surrounds a cylindrical outer tube of the outlet bung, which at the same time provides the prerequisites for simple tamper-evident by placing between the outer tube of the outlet bung and the cylindrical one The outer wall of the closure cap forms a predetermined breaking lock, which at the same time also prevents unwanted opening and thus product leakage from the product outlet tube while the outlet bung is pulled out of the rigid casing.

The closure cap can expediently have a more than quarter-circle segment-shaped cutout adapted to the outer contour of the product outlet pipe of the outlet bung, such that the closure cap can be rotated by about 90 ° relative to the outlet bung between the outlet cross section of the product outlet tube, in the closing and opening position.

Finally, the handle attachment can be designed as a pull loop on the top of the closure cap for pulling out the outlet bung from the rigid casing.

In the embodiment shown in the drawing, the abutment is for fastening or positioning formed on the rigid sheathing of the packaging container, not shown in the drawing, as a separate part, not shown in the drawing, as is shown in the embodiment according to FIG. 6 of EP-A-0 266 718. In such an abutment, the outlet bung, designated overall by 1 in the drawing, can be bumped with its lower end 2. However, it is within the scope of the present invention to form the outlet bung with an abutment in one piece, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 of EP-A-0 266 718.

The outlet bung 1 is provided with an approximately central intermediate wall 3 and a flange 4 which extends this radially outward and is also formed with a cylindrical inner tube 5 and a cylindrical outer tube. A product outlet pipe 7 with an outlet cross section 8 extends radially outward from the inner pipe 5.

A closure cap 9 is placed over the inner tube 5 and outer tube 6 of the outlet bung 1, a cylindrical tube 10 extending into the inner tube 5 of the outlet bung and a cylindrical outer wall 11 surrounding the outer tube 6 of the outlet bung from the outside. A snap groove 12 of the cylindrical tube 10, with a snap bead 13 on the inner tube 5, causes a rotatable snap connection between the outlet tap 1 and the closure cap 9. The cylindrical tube 10 is the closure cap 9 formed with an opening 14 corresponding to the outlet cross section 8 of the product outlet tube 7, which is surrounded on its side facing the inner tube 5 by an edge bead 19. In addition, the closure cap 9 is equipped on its upper edge with a pull loop as a handle extension 15.

In the cylindrical outer wall 11 of the cap 9, a more than quarter-circle segment-shaped cutout 16 is formed, which is adapted in its upper corner regions to the outer contour of the product outlet pipe 7 such that the cap 9 between the outlet cross section 8 of the product outlet pipe 7 is in the closing and opening position by 90 ° is rotatable.

Abgabestellung verbracht. As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 in particular, a predetermined breaking attachment 17 is formed on the outer tube 6 of the outlet bung 1 and engages in a slot-shaped recess 18 in the cylindrical outer wall 11 of the closure cap 9. The predetermined breaking point thus formed is dimensioned in such a way that when the packaging is manipulated to make the packaging ready for operation, pulling the outlet bung out of the rigid wrapping reliably prevents an unintentional opening of the outlet bung. On the other hand it is ensured by appropriate dimensioning of the approach 17 that sufficient torque can be applied by hand to overcome the resistance of the predetermined breaking point as soon as after the outlet bung is pulled out the rigid casing and correct positioning by means of the abutment (not shown) on the rigid casing is to be dispensed for the first time. As can be seen, the outlet bung is brought out of the closed position shown in the drawing by 90 ° rotation of the closure cap into the open or delivery position.

Of course, the exemplary embodiment described can be modified in many ways without departing from the basic idea of the invention, the variations of the outlet bung being also possible, as are reproduced in EP-A-0 266 718. Suitable variations of the predetermined breaking point and the rotary bearing of the closure cap are also within the scope of the invention. The edge bead 19 could also be formed on the inside of the outlet cross section 8 u. Like. more.
