Abstract

The tube (1) for an atmospheric gas burner, with flame holes through its top surface (7), has gas delivered to its interior by a concentric supply tube (3). It has cooling rods (2) supported above the flame holes, parallel to the axis of the tubes. Three rods of steel or refractory ceramic material can be used, carried by a support (9) half-way along the tube, to cool the cores of the flames. A very wide variety of cooling elements is shown, and supports can be used at different positions on the tube. The rods can be located along a straight line, or can form an arc of a circle spaced from the tube, and different types of support are shown.

Solche Ringe müssen naturgemäß für den jeweiligen Rohrdurchmesser des Brennerrohres mit einem einen Paßsitz ergebenden Innendurchmesser gefertigt beziehungweise auf Lager gehalten werden. Bedarf das Brennerrohr einer Wartung oder eines Austausches, müssen diese Ringe entweder mit ausgetauscht oder zeitaufwendig abgenommen werden. Durch den Paßsitz dieser massiven Ringe ergibt sich auch eine unerwünscht gute Wärmeleitung zwischen dem zu kühlenden Brennerrohr und den zu seiner Kühlung bestimmten Kühlstäben, so daß ein Teil der von letzteren im Flammenbereich zweckdienlich aufgenommenen Hitze nicht abgeleitet, sondern in das Brennerrohr eingeleitet wird.Such a gas burner is known both from US-A-45 25 141, DE-U-8 507 804 and De-U-8 603 672, the latter utility model being in the priority interval. An atmospheric gas burner comprising at least one elongate burner tube (1), which is disposed within a combustion chamber and is formed in its wall at the top with mixture outlet openings for a gras-air mixture that is supplied to the burner tube (1), wherein said preferably metallic burner tube (1) has associated with it with at least one holder (3) for the fixat on of at least one cooling rod (2), which preferably consists of ceramic material and is substantially parallel to the axis of the burner tube (1) and spaced from the tube wall, characterized in that the holder (3) consists of a sheet metal element, which is in part in contact with the outside surface of tee wall of the burner tube (1).
2. A gas burner according to claim 1, characterized in that the sheet metal element (3) is formed by a strip, which surrounds at least one cooling rod (2) at least in part (Figures 1 to 6).
3. A gas burner according to claim 2, characterized in that tee strip entirely surrounds the cooling rod (2) and constitutes a double-walled carrying web below the cooling rod.
4. A gas burner according to claim 2, characterized that the strip entirely surrounds the cooling rod (2) and below the cooling rod (2) constitutes divergently straddled carrying legs (Figures 1 and 2).
5. A gas burner according to claim 2, characterized in that the strip consists of parts which are in contact with mutually opposite side face portions of the cooling rods (2) and above said side face portions is divergently open (Figures 5 and 6).
6. An atmospheric gas burner comprising at least one elongate burner tube (1), which is disposed within a combustion chamber and is formed in its wall at tee top with mixture outlet openings for a gas-air mixture that is supplied to the burner tube (1), wherein said preferably metallic burner tube (1) has associated with it with at least one holder (3) for the fixation of at least one cooling rod (2), which preferably consists of ceramic material and is substantially parallel to the axis of the burner tube (1) and spaced from the tube wall, characterized in that tee holder (3) is secured to pipe clips (4). The inside diameter of which corresponds to the outside diameter of the burner tube (1) and which are adapted to be clipped to said burner tube (1), one pipe clip (4) of at least one pair thereof is provided with a holder (3) for radially fixing the cooling rods (2) and the other with a holder (3) for receiving and supporting the cooling rods (2) (Figures 7 and 10, respectively).
7. A gas burner according to claim 6, characterized in that said one of the two holders (3, Figure 7) has tapering grooves (11) for tee axial fixation and the other has peripherally closed holes (18) for the radially fixation of the cooling rods (2) (Figures 7 and 10, respectively).
8. A gas burner according to claim 7, characterized by a U-shaped member (17), which is adapted to be anchored on the holder (3) that is formed with grooves (11) and which serves to straddle the cooling rods (2) which are mounted in said grooves (11).
9. A gas burner according to claim 8, characterized in that means (13, 15 and 14, 16) for anchoring the U-shaped member (17) are provided on the two side faces of the holder (3) (Figures 7 to 9 and 16).
