The rotational movement of the main shaft 2 is transmitted via the pinion 25, the double gear 27 and the ring gear 29 to the cable drum 3 and thus winds up the suspension line 5. Beim Loslassen des Antriebseils blockiert die Nabe die Drehbewegung der Hauptwelle. Diese verschiebt die Nabe wieder nach links und die Bremsfunktion der Bremsbeläge erfolgt augenblicklich. Claims (8)

  1. Device with a cable drum (3) onto which is wound-up a carrying rope (5) to which a person may be suspended at each level of a controlled lifting or lowering movement of the height-adjustable carrying rope in a secured and blokked manner, respectively, said device having a suspension means (10) for its securing to a fixed part, characterized in that at one end of the horizontally arranged cable drum (3) there is provided a control and driving mechanism (12) comprising a safety mechanism (13) with an engageable pawl (24), said control and driving mechanism (12) being manually actuatable in two directions, upwardly and downwardly, by the suspended person, and in that at the other end of the cable drum (3) there is provided a gear (14) for winding-up and winding-off the carrying rope (5).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the control and driving mechanism (12) comprises a drive wheel (15) with a sleeve-shaped hub (17) provided with an inner thread (18) engaging a screw thread (19) of the main shaft (2) of the device and causing, depending on the direction of rotation of the drive wheel (15), on the one hand, for lifting the carrying rope, an axial displacement against friction linings (210, 211) of a notch wheel (21 ,22) located on the same thread (19) of the main shaft via a flanged sleeve (20) with an inner thread (209), said notch wheel, via said threads (209,19) transmitting its rotational force to the main shaft (2), whereby the notches (22) cooperate in securing engagement with at least a spring-loaded pawl (24) fixedly mounted to the structure (6) of the device for preventing an inverse rotation of the notch wheel (21,22) and thereby a lowering of the carrying rope (5), while, on the other hand, when the drive wheel (15) rotates in the opposite direction, its hub (17) is displaced laterally in the opposite direction via the thread (19) of the main shaft (2) until it abuts against a fixed part (200) of the device, thereby releasing the engagement with the friction lining (210) so that the carrying rope (5) is lowered under the effect of the weight of the suspended person and at the rotational speed of the drive wheel as controlled by said person, by means of the engagement of the threads (18,19) of the hub (17) of the drive wheel (15) and of the main shaft (2), respectively, and in that the hub automatically is applied against the friction linings again and interrupts the lowering movement when the rope is released.
  3. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that the drive wheel (15) has a peripheral groove (150) receiving an endless drive rope (16) approximatively of double the length of the carrying rope (5) and serving as a manual operating means, whereby a cover (80), preferably a removable lateral cover (8) of the housing, is arranged directly over the groove opening to prevent the drive rope (16) in the groove (15) from popping out of same.
  4. Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the reduction gear (14) consists of a pinion (25) arranged on the main shaft (2) and cooperating with a twin pinion (27) on a cylindrical pin (31) mounted in the device structure (6), the pinion (28) of the twin pinion (27) being in meshing engagement with a tooth wheel (29) rotatably mounted on the main shaft (2) and forming a part of the cable drum (3) for the carrying rope (5).
  5. Device according to claim 4, characterized in that the other pinion (26) of the twin pinion (27) meshes with the pinion (25) mounted on the main shaft (2) and is of a diameter superior to that of said first pinion (28) of the twin pinion (27) cooperating with the tooth wheel (29) of the cable drum (3), and in that the twin pinion (27) is exchangeable with a twin pinion of a different transmission ratio.
  6. Device according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that the cylindrical pin (31) rotatably receiving the twin pinion (27), is fixedly mounted in the device structure (6) and in that the twin pinion (27) is provided with a tap (32) having a square head (32) for receiving a crank for winding-up and off the not loaded carrying rope (5) onto and from the cable drum (3).
  7. Device according to one of claims 2 to 6, characterized in that there is provided a stop plate (34) for the pawl(s) (24), said stop plate (34) being located in the area of the pawl(s) and extending transversely to the main shaft (2) on which it is pivotably mounted, whereby said stop plate (34) is blocked and not pivotable when the lateral cover (8) is in place , and when the lateral cover (8) is removed said stop plate (8) may be pivoted out of its plane by means of a spheric handle (37), whereby the pawl(s) (24) are moved out of the notches (22) of the wheel (21) and the unloaded carrying rope (5) may be wound-off the cable drum (3) by a pulling action, while when the pawl(s) engage the wheel the carrying rope (5) may be rapidly wound-on by means of the square-headed tap (33) of the twin pinion (27).
  8. Device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the cable drum (3) is coaxially mounted on the main shaft (3) via needle bearings (1).
