Abstract

The suspended slatted hanging made of slats (3) connected in an articulated manner is guided in lateral guides (1) and can be raised and lowered with a lifting shaft (6) situated in parallel above the slats (3). To simplify the construction and to increase operational reliability, it is proposed that, in prolongation of the lateral guides (1), there is mounted on the lifting shaft (6) in each case a lifting drum (7) with a lifting band (8) which can be wound up and unwound. The lifting bands (8) are guided in the lateral guides (1) to the lowest slat (3) which engages therein with stubs (4) and is suspended pivotably on the lifting bands (8). Furthermore, counting from the lowest slat (3), every second slat (3) engages with terminal stubs (4) in the lateral guides, which are pivotably and vertically displaceable therein. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a pleated blind according to the preamble of claim 1.

A folding blind of the type mentioned is known from FR-PS 1 358 330. In this folding blind, only the lowest slat is guided in the side guides by means of axle journals. Elevator belts engage these journals to raise or lower the blinds. The remaining slats are provided with articulated brackets at the ends of their longitudinal edges and thus encompass the side guides. This design causes malfunctions both when lowering and when lifting the slat blind.

The present invention has for its object to provide a folding blind which is simple in construction and reliable in operation and does not have the disadvantages mentioned above.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. The arrangement of the stub axles on the bottom and counting up from there every second slat results in a forced folding of the curtain.

The preferred embodiment according to claim 2 has the advantage that all parts can be assembled on site except for the slat curtain, because the installation of the slat curtain in the guides is possible later.

It is self-evident for the person skilled in the art to choose the thickness of the band and the elastic modulus of the material such that only elastic and no plastic deformation of the band occurs under the load on the curtain.

In the embodiment according to claim 5, a vertically aligned slat stack is created without additional aids when the slat blind is gathered.

The basic structure of the folding blind is described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3. It has two lateral guides 1 which are attached to the reveal 2 of the window opening. The guides 1 essentially have a U-shaped cross-sectional profile, the leg ends being angled toward one another and forming a vertical guide slot. The slat curtain consists of horizontal slats 3 which are connected to one another in an articulated manner. Of these slats 3, the lowest is laterally pivotably and vertically displaceably supported by stub axles 4 '(FIG. 2) in the guide slots of the guides 1. Furthermore (counting from the lowest lamella), every second lamella 3 is provided with side axle stubs 4, the axle stub 4 'of the lowest lamella 3 preferably being provided with additional functional elements which will be explained later.

The elevator shaft 6 with the two elevator drums 7 is rotatably mounted in a recess 5 above the window opening in the masonry. It can be driven by conventional drive means, not shown. The elevator belts 8 that can be wound on the elevator drums 7 are guided in the lateral guides 1 to the lowest slat, which is suspended thereon by means of a bearing body 12.

The articulated connection of the individual lamellae 3 serves as rubber-elastic connecting links 9 (FIGS. 2 and 3). Such a connecting member 9 has a Z-shaped cross section with a flexible web 10, which merges into two legs each provided with an edge bead 11, which edge beads 11 are held in a form-fitting manner in the associated flange of the adjacent lamellae 3. This connecting member 9 allows a slat to be pivoted by approximately 360 ° around the slat connected to it, whereby a zigzag folding of a plurality of slats 3 connected to one another is easily possible. The connecting links 9 can extend continuously over the entire lamella length and, if desired, can be provided with openings. However, there is also the possibility of arranging a plurality of such connecting links, the length of which is only a fraction of the lamella length, in parallel and spaced apart over the lamella length.

(Fig. 2d). If the slatted curtain is in the lowered state (Fig. 2a), the window opening is closed by the folding blind. When the tank is lifted, the lowest slat is raised first, which pivots in the side guides 1 due to the resistance generated by the slats above it, with which the entire slat 3 located above it (which is not guided in the side guides 1 by means of stub axles) to the outside is pivoted (Fig. 2b). The pivoting of the slats 3 can be favored in that the stub axles 4, 4 'are offset from the longitudinal axis leading through the center of gravity. When the lamella curtain is raised further, the lamella 3 located directly above the lowest lamella 3 folds down onto it and thereby pivots the third lamella 3 located above it to the outside (FIG. 2c). This third lamella 3 provided with stub axles 4 pivots into a horizontal position and pivots the fourth lamella 3 located above it to the outside, etc. (FIG. 2d). When lifting the slat curtain, the slats 3 are pivoted from bottom to top in a horizontal position and folded onto one another. If the slat curtain is completely raised (shown in FIG. 2 d with dashed lines) and the slats 3 are gathered in a horizontal position to form a slat packet and sunk in the recess 5. When the slat armor is lowered, the slats (starting with the top slat) are swiveled into the vertical position one after the other.

The two stub axles 4 '(FIGS. 7-9) of the lowermost lamella 3 are each pivotably mounted in a bearing body 12 (FIGS. 4-7) and provided with a detent 13.

The bearing body 12 has a round support 15 which is bounded at the top by an elastically resilient tab 16 directed against it. When inserting an axle stub 4 'into the bearing body 12, that is pressed down over the inclined flank of the flap 16 until it rests on the support 15, the flap 16 being able to deflect and spring back behind the axle stub 4' and this rests on the Holds 15 positively.

The locking lug 13 on the lowermost stub axles 4 'pivots together with the lowermost lamella 3. Its pivoting angle is limited on the one hand by a stop surface 18 on the bearing body 12 and on the other hand by a locking groove 19. If the locking lug 13 lies against the stop surface 18, the lowermost lamella 3 assumes a horizontal position, whereas it is oriented vertically when the locking lug 13 is in engagement with the locking groove 19. The locking groove 19 is arranged in a locking spring 17 which is made in one piece with the bearing body 12 and which tapers in a wedge shape towards its free end.

When the slat covering is lowered, the slats 3 swivel into their vertical position one after the other, as shown in FIG. 2 in the order of FIGS. 2d to 2a. The lowermost lamella 3 assumes a horizontal position almost to the bottom, in which the locking lug 13 bears against the stop surface 18. The closer the slat curtain approaches the fully lowered state, the more the lowest slat 3 is pivoted from the horizontal position into the vertical position. The locking lug 13 slides upwards along the wedge flank 20 of the locking spring 17 and presses it elastically outward until it jumps into the locking groove 19 and the locking spring 17 relaxes. The bottom slat 3 is thus releasably fixed in its vertical position and prevents swiveling movements as a result of wind attack. When lifting the lamella curtain, the catch 13 first disengages before the folding process begins in the lamb curtain.

As can be seen from FIG. 5, the bearing body 12 has a vertical passage 21 through which the elevator belt 8 is guided. Its lower end is firmly connected to a weight 22, which comes into contact with the bearing body 12 from below when the lamella curtain is pulled up and takes it along. The elevator belt 8 is preferably a steel belt. The use of two bearing bodies 12, which are not firmly connected to the two elevator belts 8, for mounting the lowermost lamella on the one hand and the placement of these bearing bodies on the weight attached to the elevator belts 8, on the other hand, has the effect that when the lamella curtain is lowered, the obstacle is in its way bumps, the weight 22 lowers further and can keep the elevator belt taut. This prevents the elevator belt from getting tangled in the side guide. The weight 22 proves to be particularly advantageous when a steel belt is used as the elevator belt 8. If the lamella curtain encounters an obstacle when lowering, the tightening of the elevator belt on the elevator drum prevents a watch spring-like relaxation and jumping out of individual belt windings.

As shown in FIG. 10 in cross section through a second embodiment of the lowest slat 3, this is preferably provided with a loading rail 24. This greatly increases the weight of the lowest slat and reliably extends the slatted curtain when lowered. This further promotes the pivoting of the lowest slat and thus the pivoting of the locking lug 13 into the locking groove 19. The loading rail 24 is a hollow profile which extends over the entire length of the lowermost lamella and is provided with longitudinal guides 25, onto which the lowermost lamella 3 can be pushed in a form-fitting manner with ibren flanges. If the bottom slat 3 is connected to an end rail 24, the bottom stub pair 4 'is not directly attached to the end of the slat 3 itself, but instead is inserted into a bore 26 in which it is held in a force-fitting manner, the bore 26 being located laterally to that longitudinal axis of the loading rail 24 is offset, which goes through their focus.

Claims (6)

1. Folding blind, with a hung screen of pivotably interconnected slats (3), and with lateral guides (1), and with a drawing-up device (6) for two drawing-up bands (8) guided in the lateral guides (1) in the region of the lowest slat (3) which is provided with end stub shafts (4'), these being engaged pivotably and in vertically displaceable manner in the lateral guides (1) and suspended on the drawing-up bands (8), a drawing-up drum (7) for each of the drawing-up bands (8) being arranged in prolongation of the lateral guides (1) on a drawing-up shaft (6) situated parallel above the slats (3), characterised in that, counting from the lowest slat (3), each second slat (3) comprises end stub shafts (4) which are arranged in the transverse direction of the slat (3) between the pivotable connections (9) with the neighbouring slats (3) and which are guided in the lateral guides (1) so as to be pivotable and vertically displaceable, and that a bearing element (12) is longitudinally displaceable in each of the two lateral guides (1) and the lowest slat (3) is provided in these bearing elements (12) with a through guide (21) for the drawing-up band (8), to the lower end of which band a weight (22) is attached.
2. Folding blind according to claim 1, characterised in that in each bearing element (12) a pivot bearing (15,16) is provided for a stub shaft (4') of the lowest slat, said bearing having a half-shell type of supporting portion (15) and an elastic nose (16) which is directed towards said portion and which positively holds the stub shaft (4') on the supporting portion (15).
3. Folding blind according to claim 2, characterised in that the two stub shafts (4') of the lowest slat (3) are each provided with a radially projecting locking nose (13) and that the locking nose (13) is constructed as an abutment which, when the lowest slat (3) is situated horizontally, abuts against an abutment surface (18) on the bearing element (12).
4. Folding blind according to claim 1, characterised in that the pivotable connection between two slats (3) is formed by an elastomeric band (9) which extends at least partly over the entire slat length and whose longitudinal edges (11) are secured positively on the longitudinal edges of the adjoining slats (3), the cross-sectional profile of the band (9) being so chosen that when the screen of slats is drawn up a reliable, direction- predetermining folding operation will be achieved, after the band (9) had been extended when the slat screen was lowered.
5. Folding blind according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the cross-sectional profiles of the slats (3) on the one hand and of the elastomeric band (9) on the other hand are so chosen that when the slat screen is lifted the slats (3) easily enter one another, with matching shapes, and form a vertical stack.
6. Folding blind according to claim 1, characterised in that the drawing-up band is a steel band.
