Definitions

  • the present invention relates generally to bending machines, that is to say machines or apparatus which have primarily the function of allowing the folding of any sheet of metal.
  • Such folding machines generally comprise, in addition to a folding apron making it possible to act on the sheet to be folded, a fixed bed base, which in a way forms the work table, and, for retaining, on this fixed bed base, the sheet to work, a blank holder, which is rotatably mounted on this fixed base between an open position, for which it gives access thereto, and a closed position, for which, by a support spout forming l 'one of its longitudinal edges, it is suitable for applying to this fixed base the sheet to be worked.
  • the blank holder is, for this purpose, articulated with two parallel connecting rods, which, each arranged respectively at its ends, extend transversely and are themselves each respectively articulated to the fixed base by two rods, one of which is linked to a lever specific to the operation of the assembly, and, jointly, their axes of articulation being established accordingly, these rods and these rods form, for the blank holder, locking means of the toggle type, by exceeding a line of maximum resistance when it passes into the closed position.
  • the blank holder is a simple angle iron, one of the sides of which forms, by one of its edges, bevelled for this purpose, the support spout, and the articulation of which with the bed base fixed is made, on the one hand, by a bar which, established along its edge, is, at its ends, engaged, in rotation, with the connecting rods, and, on the other hand, by two arms directly articulated to said fixed base.
  • the support spout of this blank holder which, in practice, is then most often formed by an insert on the relevant section of the corresponding angle to sufficiently extend this pan, is substantially offset, transversely, relative to the edge of this angle, and therefore relative to the bar by which the connecting rods implemented act on the assembly, even though it is toggle joint assembly to which participate these rods that precisely depends, in the closed position, the holding the worksheet.
  • the present invention generally relates to an arrangement which overcomes this difficulty, leading to a particularly effective strengthening of the holding of the sheet to be worked for the closed position of the blank holder, and further leading to other advantages.
  • a folder of the kind according to document EP-A-0 013 206 comprising a fixed base and a blank holder rotatably mounted on said fixed base between an open position, to which it gives access said fixed bed base, and a closed position, for which, by a support spout forming one of its longitudinal edges, it is suitable for applying to said fixed bed base a work sheet, said blank holder for this purpose being articulated with two parallel connecting rods, which, each arranged respectively at its ends, extend transversely and are themselves each respectively articulated to the fixed base by two connecting rods, said connecting rods and said connecting rods forming, for the blank holder, their axes (A1 , A2, A3) of articulation being established accordingly, locking means of the toggle type this folder being characterized in that, for its articulation with the two connecting rods, the blank holder has, transversely, perpendicular to its support spout, two ears, which, each arranged respectively at its ends, are each respectively connected to the
  • This clamping force can thus be perfectly controlled.
  • the blank holder can advantageously be lightened compared to comparable previous embodiments, which is particularly favorable. in the case of a site device.
  • the work to be applied to a sheet may be of a different nature than the folding provided above, as is the case when it comes to ensuring the cutting of such a sheet.
  • the folder according to the invention advantageously lends itself to the performance of functions other than the only folding function.
  • a baguette maker function in addition to a baguette maker function, it can be assigned, if desired, a cutting function.
  • a rail being associated for this purpose with the fixed base, for guiding a cutting device along the support spout of the blank holder, said rail is coupled to two arms, which, each disposed respectively at its ends, extend transversely, and by which it is permanently articulated to said fixed base, by being pivotally mounted on the latter between a retracted waiting position, for which it extends on the other side of said fixed base relative to the support spout of the blank holder, and a tilted service position for which it extends along this support spout.
  • the rail necessary for the implementation of the cutting device is advantageously permanently present on the fixed base, without it being necessary to remove it from it after use.
  • the folder according to the invention comprises a fixed base 10.
  • this bed base 10 itself comprises a hollow profile 11, of quadrangular cross section, and in square practice, with two transverse flanges 12, reported transversely, each respectively, at the ends of this profile 11.
  • a plate 13 which, formed of a single flat, runs over the entire length of this profile 11, from one of the two flanges 12 to the other, and which transversely extends overhanging along one of the longitudinal edges of the profile 11, in this case its front longitudinal edge, biting only partially on its upper face, and being supported, in gallows, along its free edge, by a spacer 14 connecting it in a triangle to the corresponding front side face of the profile 11.
  • this plate 13 is intended to form the useful part of the bed base 10, that is to say that on which must be placed the sheet 15 to work.
  • the flanges 12 of the base 10 form, each respectively, on the one hand, on the front side of this base 10, two ears 17, which, each arranged respectively at the ends of the plate 13, extend transversely, projecting from the upper surface thereof, with each a hole 18 centered on its upper front edge, and, on the other hand, on the rear side of the bed base 10, two uprights 19, which, each also disposed respectively at the ends of this bed base 10, also extend transversely, while being substantially offset towards the rear relative to the rear face of the profile 11 which comprises this box spring 10.
