- application material such as foamable substances of different viscosities, coating materials, lacquers, adhesives, pastes or the like.
- Such a squeegee device in which the squeegee is optionally also formed with a nozzle integrated in it, is used in machines for flat stencil printing, for round stencil applications and / or devices for stencilless full-area applications, the application width or the doctor extension in particular can be several meters.
- sample applications printing
- full-surface applications e.g. impregnation, coating, dyeing, painting
- a squeegee used in each case and / or a squeegee device comprising it are of significant importance with regard to the handling and application options of an application device and with regard to the substance application result.
- a squeegee holder provided as a profile round rod is provided with a pivot bearing which has an adjusting mechanism arranged in a carrier body and having a gear mechanism for the optional but firmly adjustable rotation of the profile round rod about an axis lying transversely to the working direction includes.
- the carrier body is movably supported transversely to the work surface via a paint tube by means of a straight guide on a machine frame.
- a doctor blade clamped in the doctor blade holder is rigidly connected to the ink tube via the carrier body, the device parts extending in the longitudinal direction of the doctor blade also being rigidly connected to one another.
- the total weight of the ink tube, carrier body, swivel gear and doctor blade holder is supported by the doctor blade.
- the loading of the doctor blade with the weight of the entire doctor device leads along the application width to curvatures and possibly to uncontrolled permanent bending and thus to damage, transverse positions and / or incorrect positions of the doctor blade, so that the quality of the application result when starting an application device, but also is significantly impaired during operation due to sudden irregularities along the application area and may even be unusable.
- doctor blade curvatures have considerable adverse effects on the printing result.
- a time-consuming and costly readjustment of the doctor device and / or even the replacement of destroyed doctor blades is necessary.
- the invention is based on the object to provide a squeegee device comprising at least one magnetically compressible squeegee with a pivot bearing which ensures canting-free, bending-free and pressure-accurate self-adjustment and alignment of the squeegee to an application surface.
- the pivot bearing is arranged and designed as on the profile body forming or guiding the doctor blade in such a way that the profile body has at least one pivot axis perpendicular to its longitudinal axis relative to a position parallel to the application surface is freely tiltable.
- the doctor blade profile body according to the invention with free pivot bearing about at least one axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the profile body ensures a tension-free and tilt-free self-adjusting alignment of the doctor blade over the length of the device (application width).

- the pivot bearing comprises a multiple pivot bearing with which the profile body can be pivoted freely in all spatial directions. In this way, free adjustment and alignment of the squeegee is ensured along all working positions.
- the pivot bearing is designed in the form of a ball-and-socket joint or an eyelet joint that has hooked-in eyelets.
- the pivot bearing can also be expedient for the pivot bearing to comprise link bearings arranged in the region of the longitudinal ends of the profile body, the profile body being held with arms, each in the side link bearing in directions transverse and longitudinally to the longitudinal axis of the profile body are kept mobile.
- the arms in the respective link bearing are advantageously held so as to be pivotable about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profile body to be able to freely adjust the effective squeegee area and / or the magnetically effective mass of the squeegee or profile body by changing the inclination of these elements to the application area.
- a special design of the link pivot bearing further consists in the fact that each arm is held so as to be pivotable about its axis of extension.
- the pivot bearing is arranged on a guide bearing with which the pivot bearing can be moved in at least one direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the profile body. Due to the pivot bearing, which comprises several degrees of freedom, any irregularities in the bearing arrangement that may occur are automatically compensated for. This can be carried out relatively easily, since the accuracy does not have to be too high.
- the invention provides that the pivot point or the pivot points of the pivot bearing are arranged in a plane which perpendicularly intersects the longitudinal axis of the profile body and in which the pivot point of the profile body lies, the pivot bearing being at a certain distance from an opposing system for held the substrate and avoided pivoting about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profile body or is limited in the direction of the counter system.
- the articulation in or in the area of the center of gravity is moreover very generally very advantageous in every embodiment of the invention, since a very smooth self-adjustment that can be achieved under magnetic pressure can be achieved in this way.
- a particularly expedient and advantageous embodiment of the invention consists in that the profile body is designed as a supporting body which causes the doctor blade to be pressed against the application surface and has a receptacle or recess which is arranged parallel to its longitudinal axis and in which the doctor blade is mounted in the form of a doctor blade.
- the profile body can also be tilted about the longitudinal axis of the roller doctor, the receiving web area coming into contact with the roller doctor along different apex lines. The roller doctor blade is guided and aligned with the recess in the profile body.
- doctor blade profiles can be formed on the profile body.
- it can have a blade doctor blade in the form of a blade, a profile strip with a round or wedge-shaped working edge, but also a profile surface arranged in addition to a doctor blade.
- the latter is formed in the doctor blade direction in front of a doctor blade in the area of the substance to be applied, so that it forms a wedge-shaped space for the latter relative to a stencil or a web of material, the size of which can be used to control a doctor blade and / or a dosage for the application.
- the profile body is articulated freely pivotable about an axis parallel to its longitudinal axis.
- the free self-adjustment and alignment of the. Achieved according to the invention, which can be brought about under magnetic force Profile body or the doctor blade is particularly well suited for a doctor blade device in which the profile body comprises a magnetic device arranged along its longitudinal axis, such as a permanent or electromagnet or a series arrangement of such elements.
- a doctor blade device can work against a magnetizable substrate web system, for example in the form of a steel table or a steel roller, without the arrangement of a magnetic bar on the counter system being necessary.
- Each squeegee device 1 comprises a possibly magnetizable profile body 2, which is provided together with a working or squeegee edge 54 of a squeegee 5 for acting on an application surface (substrate web) 6.
- an application substance 61 is applied to the application surface 6, possibly by means of a pattern template such as a flat template or a round template 9.
- the substrate web 6 is guided or held on a (counter) contact surface 8.
- an electro-magnetic bar 7 Arranged on the contact surface 8 is an electro-magnetic bar 7 which extends over the application width and which magnetically detects the profile body 2 consisting of magnetizable material, including the optionally magnetizable doctor blade 5, for the purpose of contact pressure.
- a pivot bearing 3 of doctor blades 1 is designed in the form of a ball joint 41 which, as can be seen in FIG. 3, in the middle of the length L (application width) of a magnetizable profile body 2 laterally on this with a ball joint shell is arranged.
- the multiple pivot point of the ball joint 41 is thus arranged in a plane 21 which perpendicularly intersects the longitudinal axis 20 of the profile body in its position parallel to the application surface and in which the pivot point of the profile body 2 lies. With the ball bearing 41, the profile body 2 is freely pivotable about all spatial directions.
- the profile body 2 can be freely tilted or pivoted about an axis 45 directed perpendicular to its longitudinal axis 20, this axis 45 assuming the positions of a family of axes oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 20 of the body, by in turn rotating around a ball joint 20 parallel to the longitudinal axis 20 of the body.
- axis 46 is freely pivotable or rotatable.
- the ball joint 41 also provides for the profile body 2 to be freely pivotable about a ball joint axis 47 perpendicular to the axis 45, which in turn is thus freely pivotable or rotatable about the ball joint axis 46 and about the axis 45.
- the profile body 2 or a doctor blade 5 arranged on it are self-adjusting when a magnetic pressure of the profile body 2 in the direction of the application surface 6 or the system 8 by means of magnetizing the magnetic bar arranged below the system 8 7 takes place.
- Each squeegee 5 comes into contact with the application surface 6 without any impairment by the profile body mounting without tilting and curvature.
- the ball joint 41 is carried by a holding part 32 of an application device.
- the ball joint 41 is arranged to be movable in directions perpendicular to and along the counter system 8.

It can be seen that by changing the distance of the ball joint 41 from the system 8 by means of the guide bearing 31, a controlled pivoting of the profile body about the ball joint axis 46 can be carried out in a simple manner.
- the profile body 2 is designed as a possibly magnetizable support body which causes a squeegee 5 to be pressed against the application surface 6 and has a recess 25 arranged parallel to its longitudinal axis 20, in which the squeegee 5 is mounted in the form of a magnetizable roller squeegee 51. This is in the recess 25 freely rotatable.
- a profile surface 53 which borders on the recess 25, is formed on the profile body 2 and extends along and parallel to the longitudinal axis 20 of the body. It effects a metering of the substance 61 lying in front of the doctor blade 41. A specific pre-doctoring can also be achieved with it. Checking and control of the metering or the doctoring take place in a simple manner by changing the inclination of the profile surface 53 as a result of a change in the distance of the ball joint 41 from the system 8.
- a blade doctor blade or blade 52 is arranged on the magnetizable profile body 2.
- the inclination of this blade relative to the system 8 like the inclination of the profile surface 53 in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, can be varied by changing the distance of the ball joint 41.
- FIG. 4 and 5 show a further embodiment of a pivot bearing 3 for a profile body 2.
- the profile body 2 is in each case connected to an arm 22 in the region of its longitudinal ends.
- Each arm is held with its free end in a link bearing in such a way that it can be moved in directions transverse and along the longitudinal axis 20 of the profile body.
- an oscillating, swing-like suspension for the profile body 2 is achieved, which can be freely pivoted at least about an axis parallel to its longitudinal axis 20 and also about an axis 47 perpendicular to this, the axis 47 in turn being free about the longitudinal axis 20 is pivotable.
- a doctor blade 5 with a wedge-shaped working edge 54 is formed on the profile body 2 in its longitudinal direction, which works against a roller 8 forming a system.
- a magnetic bar 7 for magnetically pressing the magnetizable profile body 2 in the direction of the roller system 8 is arranged inside the roller 8.
- FIG. 4 shows a top view according to a view BB in FIG. 5, the transverse mobility of the profile body 2 relative to the roller 8. It can be seen that the profile body 2 comes into contact with the roller 8 or against a substrate web vertically guided past the working edge 54 without tilting and self-adjusting.
- a further doctor device 1 is shown in side view, longitudinal view (section A-B) and top view.
- a pivot bearing 3 arranged on the profile body 2 is designed as a carriage-like or drawer-like bearing.
- a pair of rollers or wheels 43 is arranged on the end faces of the profile body 2.
- the rollers run on support surfaces or webs 44. These webs 44 are part of a bearing 40 and extend transversely to an application surface 6.
- the directions of movement are shown in FIGS. 6 and 8.

The invention relates to a doctor blade device for applying application material such as foamable substances of different viscosities, coating materials, lacquers, adhesives, pastes or the like. on an application surface (substrate) with at least one doctor-magnet-extending doctor blade that extends in the length of the doctor device, the doctor device comprising a profile body with its longitudinal axis extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the doctor blade and a pivot bearing articulating the profile body, and wherein the doctor blade and / or the profile body at least partially consist of magnetically acting parts. Such a squeegee device, in which the squeegee is optionally also formed with a nozzle integrated in it, is used in machines for flat stencil printing, for round stencil applications and / or devices for stencilless full-area applications, the application width or the doctor extension in particular can be several meters. A squeegee used in each case and / or a squeegee device comprising it are of significant importance with regard to the handling and application options of an application device and with regard to the substance application result.
In a known squeegee device (CH-A-464 967), a squeegee holder provided as a profile round rod is provided with a pivot bearing which has an adjusting mechanism arranged in a carrier body and having a gear mechanism for the optional but firmly adjustable rotation of the profile round rod about an axis lying transversely to the working direction includes. The carrier body is movably supported transversely to the work surface via a paint tube by means of a straight guide on a machine frame. When squeegee, the rotary position of the squeegee holder must remain fixed. Thus, a doctor blade clamped in the doctor blade holder is rigidly connected to the ink tube via the carrier body, the device parts extending in the longitudinal direction of the doctor blade also being rigidly connected to one another. The total weight of the ink tube, carrier body, swivel gear and doctor blade holder is supported by the doctor blade. The loading of the doctor blade with the weight of the entire doctor device leads along the application width to curvatures and possibly to uncontrolled permanent bending and thus to damage, transverse positions and / or incorrect positions of the doctor blade, so that the quality of the application result when starting an application device, but also is significantly impaired during operation due to sudden irregularities along the application area and may even be unusable. It has to be taken into account that, especially with large application widths, even minimal doctor blade curvatures have considerable adverse effects on the printing result. For example, a time-consuming and costly readjustment of the doctor device and / or even the replacement of destroyed doctor blades is necessary.
Abs. Furthermore, it is known on the back of a swiveling blade squeegee to provide a magnetizable bar firmly connected to the squeegee over the application width, the squeegee being able to be pressed magnetically in the direction of the application surface by means of the magnetic force of a magnetic bar arranged below the application surface (DE-OS 34 19 590).
In contrast, the invention is based on the object to provide a squeegee device comprising at least one magnetically compressible squeegee with a pivot bearing which ensures canting-free, bending-free and pressure-accurate self-adjustment and alignment of the squeegee to an application surface.
This object is achieved in connection with the features of the doctor device mentioned at the outset in that the pivot bearing is arranged and designed as on the profile body forming or guiding the doctor blade in such a way that the profile body has at least one pivot axis perpendicular to its longitudinal axis relative to a position parallel to the application surface is freely tiltable. The doctor blade profile body according to the invention with free pivot bearing about at least one axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the profile body ensures a tension-free and tilt-free self-adjusting alignment of the doctor blade over the length of the device (application width). When the magnetic pressure is switched on and / or during the operation of the device, the doctor blade is positioned and held freely, ie without conventional bearing-related constraining forces. It adapts to any inclination irregularities that may occur in the position of the application surface (substrate web) during application operation. In connection with the magnetic pressure, an optimization is achieved both for the start of the application operation and during the application. Adverse bending and / or readjustments of the bearings, which often have to be carried out in application devices with conventional magnetically pressed doctor devices, are eliminated. The lifespan of the profile body and / or doctor blade is considerably increased, since their damage is eliminated by clampings and / or tension caused by the bearing. The post-processing or re-tensioning of doctor blades, which may be necessary with conventional doctor blades, is also eliminated. or profile body.
In order to vary a substance space, a substance back pressure and / or the contact pressure, it is very important to be able to change the angle of inclination of a doctor blade or coating edge and / or the profile body relative to an application surface. A very simple and targeted influencing of these parameters, in particular also during continuous application operation, is achieved in a further development of the invention in that the pivot bearing comprises a multiple pivot bearing with which the profile body can also be freely pivoted about at least one axis parallel to its longitudinal axis. In a special design, the pivot bearing comprises a multiple pivot bearing with which the profile body can be pivoted freely in all spatial directions. In this way, free adjustment and alignment of the squeegee is ensured along all working positions.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the pivot bearing is designed in the form of a ball-and-socket joint or an eyelet joint that has hooked-in eyelets. With such a bearing, the free swivel articulation of the profile body forming or guiding the squeegee is particularly simple in terms of construction.
According to another embodiment of the invention, however, it can also be expedient for the pivot bearing to comprise link bearings arranged in the region of the longitudinal ends of the profile body, the profile body being held with arms, each in the side link bearing in directions transverse and longitudinally to the longitudinal axis of the profile body are kept mobile. In this embodiment, the arms in the respective link bearing are advantageously held so as to be pivotable about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profile body to be able to freely adjust the effective squeegee area and / or the magnetically effective mass of the squeegee or profile body by changing the inclination of these elements to the application area. A special design of the link pivot bearing further consists in the fact that each arm is held so as to be pivotable about its axis of extension.
To control the angle of inclination of the squeegee or the profile body relative to a stationary system for the application surface, it is provided that the pivot bearing is arranged on a guide bearing with which the pivot bearing can be moved in at least one direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the profile body. Due to the pivot bearing, which comprises several degrees of freedom, any irregularities in the bearing arrangement that may occur are automatically compensated for. This can be carried out relatively easily, since the accuracy does not have to be too high.
With the invention, it is possible in a simple manner to automatically position and hold the profile body or the doctor blade over its longitudinal extent at a fixed (slight) equidistant distance from a system for the application area. This contactless positioning in relation to a web (order area) is of great importance for some types of order. For this purpose, the invention provides that the pivot point or the pivot points of the pivot bearing are arranged in a plane which perpendicularly intersects the longitudinal axis of the profile body and in which the pivot point of the profile body lies, the pivot bearing being at a certain distance from an opposing system for held the substrate and avoided pivoting about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profile body or is limited in the direction of the counter system. The articulation in or in the area of the center of gravity is moreover very generally very advantageous in every embodiment of the invention, since a very smooth self-adjustment that can be achieved under magnetic pressure can be achieved in this way.
A particularly expedient and advantageous embodiment of the invention consists in that the profile body is designed as a supporting body which causes the doctor blade to be pressed against the application surface and has a receptacle or recess which is arranged parallel to its longitudinal axis and in which the doctor blade is mounted in the form of a doctor blade. The profile body can also be tilted about the longitudinal axis of the roller doctor, the receiving web area coming into contact with the roller doctor along different apex lines. The roller doctor blade is guided and aligned with the recess in the profile body.
A wide variety of doctor blade profiles can be formed on the profile body. In particular, it can have a blade doctor blade in the form of a blade, a profile strip with a round or wedge-shaped working edge, but also a profile surface arranged in addition to a doctor blade. The latter is formed in the doctor blade direction in front of a doctor blade in the area of the substance to be applied, so that it forms a wedge-shaped space for the latter relative to a stencil or a web of material, the size of which can be used to control a doctor blade and / or a dosage for the application. For such an embodiment, the profile body is articulated freely pivotable about an axis parallel to its longitudinal axis.
The free self-adjustment and alignment of the. Such a doctor blade device can work against a magnetizable substrate web system, for example in the form of a steel table or a steel roller, without the arrangement of a magnetic bar on the counter system being necessary.
