Definitions

  • the invention relates to a knitting machine, in particular to a flat knitting machine, with a self-resilient intermediate plate with a presser foot, which is mounted in a needle channel of a needle bed by means of a control plate and can be moved longitudinally.
  • the needles and the associated needle pushers or sinkers of a knitting machine slide in the needle channels of a needle bed. Lock parts moved back and forth with the lock plates of a sled actuate the needles through needle feet protruding from the beds or through work feet of coupling parts articulated with the needles.
  • the needle operating positions knitting / non-knitting and transferring / transferring stitches, transferring must be set by means of switchable locks and, on the other hand, the individual needles must be selectively withdrawn from actuation by the lock part concerned.
  • CH-A 517 853 describes a knitting machine, in particular a flat knitting machine.
  • Boards in the needle channels of the needle beds with a working foot that can be influenced by the needle locks serve to control the needle movements.
  • the circuit board is designed as an elastically flexible rod supported at both ends, on which a pressure member can act.
  • the working foot of the board is arranged in the area of its maximum bendability. The working foot is moved out of the area of the lock parts when the circuit board is bent.
  • the pressure element does not act directly on the elastic, flexible board, but on a resilient intermediate board.
  • This has a hairpin-shaped end section and is slidably mounted between a bar and the bottom of the needle channel.
  • two pressure boards are necessary, the intermediate board taking over the spring function, the pressure board acting directly on the intermediate board taking over the positioning function.
  • a knitting machine in particular a flat knitting machine, is known with a needle bed in which the needles rest on spring-loaded bolts.
  • the needle foot of a needle can be withdrawn from the effective area of the guide surfaces of the knitted lock plate.
  • a needle pusher sinker
  • Lock parts act on the pusher, which is fork-shaped at the end facing away from the needle, with cams on the fork ends, via a presser foot and a lifting tab.
  • the lower cam engaging in a notch in a raster rail forms the axis of rotation of the needle pusher.
  • the upper cam rests on a rail fastened to the needle ram cover without the formation of notches.
  • the functional concept of this knitting machine does not include, like the CH-A 517 853, a plate, intermediate plate and pressure plates, which are designed to be resilient, in addition to the needle, but only a non-resilient, swiveling pressure plate, which can snap into various longitudinal displacement positions. This pressure board must be raised again after lowering.
  • US-A 4637228 shows a knitting machine with composite needles, in which the needle bodies can be pressed down by selector jacks which can be moved and swiveled longitudinally.
  • the pawls have several notches in which, depending on the position, one in the area of the needle channels free tensioned wire snaps into place.
  • An auxiliary spring presses the pawl against the wire that forms the fulcrum and simultaneously generates a torque.
  • this cannot be called clamping which promotes operational safety.
  • the inventor has set himself the task of creating a knitting machine, in particular a flat knitting machine, with a self-resilient intermediate plate mounted in a needle channel of a needle bed by means of a control plate and which is longitudinally displaceable and which is less expensive to manufacture and operate, works more easily and is less susceptible to faults .
  • control board With a positionable intermediate board, only one is used instead of two pressure boards (CH-A 517 853), in the present case called control board. It is obvious that the saving of a pressure part in each needle channel reduces the investment costs, simplifies the operation and thereby also makes it more cost-effective, and reduces the susceptibility to faults.
  • the self-suspension of the intermediate plate is produced exclusively by the end facing away from the presser foot, which is bent in a hairpin-shaped or Z-shaped manner in a manner known per se.
  • the outer surface of the intermediate board with the notch facing the bottom of the needle channel and / or the underside of the control board bed and the detents which engage in the notch of the intermediate board at the bottom of the needle channel and / or on the control board bed only permit a simpler construction in cooperation with the self-resilient embodiment of the intermediate board - and mode of operation and a significant increase in operational safety.
  • the catches facing it are expediently round, rounded or beveled.
  • FIG. 1 The vertical partial section shown in FIG. 1 through a needle channel 10 of a needle bed shows all functional parts, the needle 12 being shown only partially.
  • the needle shaft is cut off, the needle head with the tongue is not shown because it is of a conventional design.
  • the bottom 14 of the needle channel is thicker in the area of the needle 12 guided by the limiting strips 13 than at the rear end thereof.
  • the coupling part 16 is supported at one end with the coupling head 18 in a corresponding recess in the shaft of the needle 12 and at the other end on the bottom 14 of the needle channel 10.
  • the coupling part 16 is designed to be elastic and flexible can be removed from the pass-through channel 20 in the lock part 23 of the knitted lock plate 22 with little effort. In this position, shown in FIG. 1, the working foot 24 is generally removed from the leading influence of the flow channel 20 or the lock part 23, the needle brought exclusively from the working foot 24 into the knitting or transferring position remains in the rest position during the carriage passage.
  • the intermediate board 26 rests on the coupling part 16 at one end.
  • the other end of the intermediate board 26 is bent in a hairpin shape and is supported with a bent leg 28 on the bottom 14 of the needle channel 10.
  • the intermediate board 26 is stretched between the bottom 14 and the underside 31 of the control board bed 30.
  • a boundary wire 62 arranged in a groove 64, limits the movement space of the coupling part 16 and the intermediate board 26.
  • the intermediate board 26 can be positioned, the leg 32 facing the control board bed 30 has on the outside a transversely extending notch 34 into which one of three wires 36 which are stretched over the entire length of the needle bed snaps into place.
  • This positioning device is shown in detail in FIG. 2, where the reinforcement of the leg 32 in the notch 34 is also clearly visible.
  • the presser foot 38 protrudes in the direction of the knitted lock plate 22, which in the position shown is like the working foot 24 outside the effective range of the knitted lock plate 22.
  • the control board 40 which can be pivoted about an axis A, is rotated clockwise by a leaf spring 42 as soon as the effect of the magnet 44 on its outer end 46 is eliminated.
  • This magnet 44 - not visible in FIG. 1 - consists of a permanent magnet which can be electromagnetically neutralized with regard to its effect on the control board 40.
  • the electromagnet In the position shown with a normal line, the electromagnet is switched on, the control board 40 is ejected. In the dotted position the electromagnet is switched off, the outer end 46 of the control board 40 is held by the non-neutralized permanent magnet.
  • control foot 48 of the control board 40 is guided by the lock part 50 of the control lock plate 52 as soon as the guide surface 54 has reached the correspondingly designed surface of the control foot 48.
  • the auxiliary control foot 56 which is guided on one side by a control surface, is used primarily for the further transport and return of the control board 40 by means of the lock part 58.
  • the freedom of movement of the control board 40 is restricted in the longitudinal direction by limiting strips 59.
  • Both the control board 40 and the intermediate board 26 are returned to the rest position shown in FIG. 1 with respect to the longitudinal direction of the needle channel 10 after each working phase.
  • the needle 12 is guided exclusively by the movement transmission on the working foot 24 when it engages in the knitted lock plate 22 or its lock parts 23. This takes place when the coupling part 16, which is always slightly tensioned, is not pressed downward into the non-knitting position by the intermediate plate 26.
  • the needle 12 can be guided from the knitting lock into the knitting, catching, transfer or transfer positions.
  • the intermediate board 26 is stretched such that the presser foot 38 is guided without outside influence into a recess in the knitted lock plate 22 or from its lock parts 23 as soon as the path is free.
  • a thrown control board 40 can be moved by the lock part 50 by acting on the control foot 48 such that the nose 60 which has also been displaced after overcoming the play of, for example, 7 mm, displaces the intermediate board 26 in such a way that the presser foot 38 leaves the rest position I and the position II or III reached.
  • the middle wire 36 (FIG. 2) snaps into the notch 34 of the intermediate board 26, in position III of the presser foot the right wire 36 snaps into place. From this example, the essential meaning of the grid for the positioning of the intermediate board 26 becomes clear.
  • the position I for the presser foot 38, the rest position, is always a path running perpendicular to the needle channel 10 in the knitting lock, the working foot 24 of the needles 12 remains in this position outside the effective range of lock parts 23 of the knitting lock plate 22 leading to needle movements.
  • the working foot 24 of the coupling part 16 is displaced by the intermediate plate 26 in such a way that it engages the needle 12 into the transfer or knitting position when it engages in a passageway 20 of the knitted lock plate 22 or in its lock parts 23.
  • control board 40 moves the presser foot 38 of the intermediate board 26 into position III, the working foot 24 of the coupling part 16 is positioned such that the needle 12 is guided into the take-over or catching position when it snaps into the knitted lock plate 22.
  • the cutouts in the knitted lock plate 22 or in its lock parts 23 are made in such a way that the presser foot 38 can be moved from the rest position I into a working position II or III without having to be lowered.
