Abstract
Die gegenueberliegenden Enden (2, 3) einer Druckplatte (1) fuer den Rotationsdruck werden gegenseitig zusammengefuegt, um eine zylinderfoermige Druckplatte (1) herzustellen, die auf einem Druckzylinder aufziehbar ist, z.B. auf einem im Durchmesser dehnbaren Druckzylinder. Die Verbindung wird dadurch hergestellt, dass die fotoempfindliche Beschichtung (5) der Druckplatte (1) an zwei endseitigen Raendern abgetragen wird, dass an einem Plattenende (2) eine abgebogene Kroepfung (12) gebildet wird und, dass das andere ca. um 90° gebogene Ende (11) in die Kroepfung eingesetzt wird. Die vorstehende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Zuammenfuegen der Enden einer Druckplatte fuer eine Rotationsdruckmaschine. Die Erfindung betrifft auch die mit dem Verfahren hergestellte Druckplatte. Um die Produktivitaet von Rotationsdruckmaschinen zu erhoehen, wurde bereits vorgeschlagen, die Kupferbeschichtung auf dem Druckzylinder durch eine, die Druckplatte bildende Matritze zu ersetzen, deren Aussenbeschichtung aus fotoempfindlichem Material besteht. Da derartige Matritzen ueblicherweise als flache Platten hergestellt werden, besteht die Notwendigkeit, die beiden Enden der Druckplatte zusammenzufuegen, und diese Druckplatte genau und ortsfest auf dem Druckzylinder zu montieren.The above invention relates to a method for joining the ends of a printing plate for a rotary printing press. Eine derartige Druckplatte findet Verwendung mit einem in Radialrichtung dehnbaren Zylinder, der magnetische Haltevorrichtungen aufweist, welche die Enden der Druckplatte auf dem Umfang des Druckzylinders festlegt. Diese bekannte Art der Plattenverbindung hat verschiedene Nachteile. Einmal bedarf es einer besonderen und vor allem hochgenauen Bearbeitung der beiden Plattenenden (Stanzvorgang), um eine formschluessige Verbindung der Enden zu ermoeglichen. Desweiteren weisen die Ausstanzungen fuer die formschluessige Verbindung zwangsweise erhebliche Abmessungen auf, welche die nutzbare Flaeche zur Aufbringung des Druckbildes auf der Platte wesentlich einschraenkt. Desweiteren kann die beschriebene Druckplatte nur gemeinman mit einem besonders auszubildenden Zylinder verwendet werden. Aufgabe der vorstehenden Erfindung ist es, die Nachteile des Standes der Technik zu vermeiden und ein neues Verfahren zum Verbinden von Druckplatten der genannten Art, sowie eine somit hergestellte Druckplatte fuer Rotationsdruckmaschinen vorzuschlagen. Diese Aufgabe wird mit dem erfindungsgemaessen Verfahren zum Verbinden der Enden einer Druckplatte fuer den Rotationsdruck, bestehend aus einem metallischen Traeger und einer fotoempfindlichen Beschichtung durch folgende Verfahrensschritte geloest:
- a) Abtragen der fotoempfindlichen Beschichtung an zwei gegenueberliegenden Endstreifen der Platte
- b) Bildung einer Abkroepfung an einem Plattenende und Abwinkeln des verbleibenden Plattenendes und Einfuegung der Abwinkelung in die vorher erstellte Abkroepfung, sowie
- c) Aufbringen eines aushaertenden Materials laengs der zwischen den nebeneinanderliegenden Plattenenden gebildeten Nut, zur Schaffung einer kontinuierlichen Oberflaeche der Druckplatte laengs des Verbindungsstosses.
