Abstract

A profile for a frame, in particular a case, for windows, doors or the like consisting of solid wood, has a hollow element made of plastic, which is inserted into the interior and covered on all sides, for mounting and guiding actuating and/or closing elements, which body is inserted as part of at least one layer when the frame is constructed in layer form.

Description

The invention relates to a frame, in particular frame, for windows, doors or the like. And a profile strand for such a frame with an internal longitudinal tubular hollow profile body for receiving ventilation and actuating or link members or installation lines or the like.

Frames are generally made from full profile parts made of wood, plastic or the like. Or from such a full profile part and a cover profile.

With solid profile parts, various difficulties arise due to the massive cross section. Such profiles made of solid material may have distortions or the like when exposed to moisture and temperature, which result in warping of the frame or, in the case of a frame, a leakage in the closed position of the sashes.

As a remedy, DE-GM 84 35 701 U1 proposes to provide a length of a metal tube inside the profile strips. In order to insert this metal tube into the interior of the profile strip, it should be formed from two parts and milled out accordingly. The tube should only be formed when the profile strips are joined.

Die Herstellung derartiger Fenster bleibt relativ arbeitsaufwendig. The manufacture of such windows remains relatively labor intensive.

The object of the invention is therefore to propose a profile strand which is easier to manufacture in terms of production technology.

This object is achieved in that the profile strand is composed of a plurality of layers firmly connected to one another in sandwich form, that the hollow profile body is adapted to and inserted into the dimensions of one or more of the inner layers, and that the hollow profile body has several on at least one outer side facing the adjacent layers has webs extending at a mutual distance and in the longitudinal direction and deformable under the pressure when the layers are connected. Due to the particularly favorable construction of the solid frame cross-section from several layers that are firmly connected, e.g. glued, warping of the frame due to moisture or heat is excluded. The layered structure also offers the special advantage of being inside, i.e. completely concealed from the outside, to install the hollow profile body without reducing the stability of the frame. Since the dimensions of the hollow profile are adapted to the dimensions of one or more of the layers, the hollow profile body can be inserted into the relevant layer or layers and together with this or these can be installed together in the frame cross section in one operation.

In the hollow profile body, which is installed in the frame, various elements, for example wise sealing elements, actuators, closing elements or the like., are concealed. For this purpose, no grooves or the like have to be introduced into the profile parts or subsequently closed again in a special operation.

In order to meet the requirements for gluing or the requirements for machining tolerances, the hollow profile can be provided with webs in a special way on the inside and / or outside. As a result, it becomes more stable and manufacturing tolerances of the adjacent layers can be compensated for.

In a particularly advantageous development, the hollow profile body can have a flange which at the same time defines the dimensions of a groove for receiving a seal of the window to be produced later.

In terms of production technology, it is particularly advantageous and therefore cost-effective if the profile strand is formed from a board in its outer layers and the inner layer consists of two strips which enclose the hollow profile body between them.

The ability to compensate for material tolerances and also to use wood that works more intensively makes it possible to use particularly inexpensive wood material. At the same time, lower requirements can be placed on the tolerances of the board cutting machines. No special woodworking is required for the integration of the hollow profile body.

It will also be possible to produce very long lengths and to machine them to suit each other.

The last processing therefore takes place after the profile strand has been glued or glued. The finished profile strand then only has to be separated into suitable pieces for the frame. These extruded sections can - since they no longer require any further processing - even be offered in home improvement stores.

The frames made from such extruded sections, in particular window frames, for windows, doors or the like are particularly inexpensive and yet are not very susceptible to warping or leaking.

In a particularly advantageous development of a frame, the built-in hollow profile body or hollow body can also determine the dimensions and the position of a groove in its installed position, which is used to accommodate the circumferential profile seal that seals the closing fold between the sash frame and frame.

The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of schematic drawings using an exemplary embodiment.

Show it:
  • Fig. 1 shows a cross section through a frame according to the invention and
  • Fig. 2 shows a detail of the hollow profile used in the frame of FIG. 1.

In Fig. 1 it is assumed that the supporting profile parts of the frame 1 and the sash 2 are made of wood and are made of individual layers which are joined together and firmly connected to one another by gluing. In the frame 1, the profile Part 3, for example, layers 3a to 3e, which lie in planes approximately parallel to one another on the frame plane.

The panes 21 are held in the usual manner on the casement 2.

The frame 1 has on its inside a cover profile 4; however, this is not essential for the understanding of the invention, so that it need not be discussed in more detail here.

In the profile part 3 of the frame 1, a hollow body 40 is permanently installed concealed on all sides. The hollow body 40 is a box-shaped hollow profile, which in the example shown consists of plastic. The hollow body 40 has a thickness in the direction perpendicular to the window frame plane, which corresponds to the thickness of the inner layer 3b. The hollow body 40 is inserted into the layer 3b in such a way that it forms part of the layer and is installed together with the latter in the profile part 3. In order to improve the gluing with the adjacent layers 3a and 3c, the relevant exposed surfaces of the hollow body 40 are profiled, for example provided with a tooth-shaped surface. In order to be able to better compensate for thickness tolerances with respect to layer 3b, as shown in FIG. 2, the underside 45 and / or the top of the hollow body 40 has a plurality of webs 46 of 1 to 3 mm running in the longitudinal direction and spaced apart from one another Provide length, which can deform when the layers are pressed together during the gluing, if this is necessary. After being deformed, the webs 46 form small pockets which receive the glue and ensure a firm connection with the adjacent layer 3c.

The hollow body 40 has webs 44 arranged in pairs in its interior, which divide the interior 43 into a plurality of chambers. Each chamber can serve to accommodate different actuating or closing elements or the like. The elements can also be displaceable in the longitudinal direction. In order to be able to use the hollow body 40 for guiding fittings, it is very important that the installation dimension of the hollow body is reliably maintained within the cross section of the frame 1. In particular, the installation dimension designated 47 is of great importance. Compliance with this installation dimension can be easily monitored during mechanical machining, e.g. by a measuring sensor is used which continuously determines and monitors the differential dimension 48 during processing.

The hollow body 40 expediently has a laterally projecting flange 42 in the support plane to the layer 3c. The length of the flange in the direction of the frame level as well as the thickness of the flange 42 are dimensioned such that the width and depth of the groove of the profile part 3 of the frame 1 are determined, in which the central seal lying in the closing fold in the manner shown in Fig. 1 is recorded.

The web pairs 44 in the interior of the hollow body 40 serve at the same time as sound-absorbing elements, so that there is no fear of sound collapsing through the cavity.
