Un tel type de fixation utilisé notamment dans le domaine du camping, par exemple dans le cas des auvents de carava­nes, démontage de chapiteaux, présente l'avantage d'avoir une bonne résistance en traction et une bonne étanchéité mais lorsque l'élément souple (ou couverture) a une grande longueur, la manoeuvre est délicate à réa­liser compte-tenu des frottements très importants. De plus, l'extrémité opposéee à l'élément souple (couvertu­re) doit être démontée simultanément, ce qui interdit certaines applications comme par exemple le bâchage d'un camion ;
    - la fixation du type "tringle à rideaux" (rail re­lié à la couverture) qui, s'il est d'usage pratique et peut être automatisé, présente comme inconvénient de ne pas permettre de laisser en place la partie opposée de la couverture, ce qui élimine certaines applications et, par ailleurs, comme la tension n'est pas uniformé­ment répartie le long de la couverture, il se produit des concentrations de contraintes au niveau de l'atta­che du galet. De plus, ce type de fixation ne peut être utilisé lorsqu'il s'impose d'enlever totalement la cou­verture (celle-ci ne peut être rejetée qu'à l'extrémité du rail).

Afin de conserver la rigidité nécessaire aux appuis et aux languettes, il peut être envisagé de disposer des implants perpendiculairement à la longueur du profilé et ce, sans affecter sa souples­se ;
    - éventuellement, le bourrelet peut être lié par une portion avantageusement souple à un deuxième bourre­let de dimension supérieure au premier.       - ladite gouttière se présente sous la forme d'un profilé ouvert (1), à l'intérieur duquel sont disposées, sur toute sa longueur, deux languettes (3), de préfé­rence symétriques, entre lesquelles subsiste un jour de dimension inférieure à l'épaisseur du bourrelet (5), lesdites languettes (3) présentant une certaine flexibilité permettant d'écarter leurs extrémités (10) l'une de l'autre sous l'action d'une pression, des butées d'arrêt (4) (appuis) étant prévus à l'intérieur de la gouttière (1) pour, au contraire, éviter tout écartement lors d'une traction ;
      - l'introduction du bourrelet (5) à l'intérieur du profilé et son enlèvement lors de la désolidarisation est obtenue au moyen d'un curseur (8) déplaçable le long de la gouttière (1) et qui comporte une enveloppe cintrée (6) enveloppant au moins partiellement le bourrelet (5) et laissant passer la structure souple et permettant, lors de son déplacement, dans un sens d'écarter les languettes (3) l'une de l'autre pour introduire ledit bourrelet (5) en-dessous des languettes (3) à l'intérieur de la gouttière (1) lors de la liaison et dans l'autre sens pour l'extraire lors de la désolidarisation.
