Abstract

On the open side of the pocket (20), an external film (22) has a flange (28) to fix the film and a means to hold it in tension while an internal film has an additional, separate means to fix the film to the frame. Two or more hooks, attached to straps on the upper edge of the display, hook in corresponding holes in the interior of the pocket. The pocket is open at the lower side and a rotating axle raises the hooks from a lower position corresponding to the introduction of the display to a high position corresponding to the display being in place. The display is illuminated by rear lighting (5).

Technical area

The invention relates more precisely to a type of display device in which the paper posters or the like are changeable at will.

Previous techniques

In document FR-A-2 428 884, a type of display rack has been described, consisting of a case forming a display case, the front face of which is made of transparent material, generally glass. This front face is mounted on hinges to be able to pivot according to its upper edge. Inside the box, are provided several hooks, at the upper part, so as to allow the hanging of the poster by its upper part. When changing displays, open this display case and rotate the front panel to access the upper hooks. The front face being generally made of very thick glass, is therefore heavy and the maneuvers require certain precautions to keep in the open position. Furthermore and above all, the cost of such displays is extremely high.

Another type of poster display is also known, such as in particular illustrated in document EP-A-0 646 904. This display device comprises a main frame inside which is a rigid panel. This rigid panel is intended to receive the poster over which is stretched a transparent film intended to press the poster against the rigid bottom. To allow effective plating, the tension of the rigid film must be exerted slightly towards the rear of the rigid bottom. In this way, the space between the film and the background is almost zero, which prevents the establishment of the poster by any type of practical means such as hooks or slats.

Furthermore, in the case of the use of frames comprising a light box allowing the backlighting of the poster, the presence of the rigid bottom strongly affects the accessibility to the lighting means. Furthermore, only the use of alveolar polycarbonate bottom makes it possible to obtain the qualities of mechanical inertia combined with adequate transparency. Unfortunately, due to the alveolar nature of this material, light diffraction phenomena ensue which generate shadow lines on the backlit poster and degrade the quality of the image.

The problem that the invention proposes to solve is that of the removal of this rigid background while maintaining the mechanical qualities of holding the poster and sufficient transparency.

Description of the invention

The objective of the invention is to provide a display device that is easy to use and maintain, having good qualities of transparency and holding the poster, and a reduced manufacturing cost.

The invention therefore relates to a display device of the type comprising a frame forming a frame inside which a poster is disposed, and a transparent outer film for protecting the poster, said film being stretched over the frame.

In other words, the poster is inserted inside a pocket which is itself stretched over a frame. The poster is therefore placed between the rear film and the external film, these two films being flexible and allowing easy access to the interior of the chassis. Furthermore, by using a pocket structure, it is extremely easy to deform it to introduce the poster.

To solve the problem of hanging the pocket on the frame, the means for securing the pocket to the frame are constituted by a bead present on the four sides of the pocket; the tensioning means consist of a gutter comprising two flexible tabs between which a day remains smaller than the dimensions of the bead, said tabs having a flexibility allowing the introduction of the bead and having stops to prevent any withdrawal of the bead during a pull.

In other words, the four sides of the pocket are equipped with a reinforced zone of the type described in patent EP 0 294 301 of the Applicant. The edges of this pocket therefore have a ring forming a bead intended to be enclosed in an adequate profile allowing its insertion under low pressure and preventing separation without the use of an appropriate tool.

To facilitate the installation of the poster, on the open side of the pocket, the outer film carries the means of attachment to the frame while the rear film has additional means of attachment to the frame, independent of the means carried by the film before.

In other words, at the opening of the pocket, the rear film is kept pressed against the frame by any known means such as gluing, Velcro® attachment or screwing. This arrangement allows the pocket to be opened properly when the poster is put in place without the rear film being free.

To facilitate the maintenance of the poster inside the pocket, the device has hooking points of the upper edge of the poster inside the pocket.

In other words, to allow precise positioning of the poster, and to prevent it from unexpectedly moving inside the pocket, the device according to the invention comprises and provides anchoring points for this poster.

In a preferred form of the invention, the pocket has its opening on the lower side, and the frame includes a device for lifting said attachment points of the upper edge of the poster between a low position corresponding to the introduction. of the poster, and a high position corresponding to the final placement of the poster.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the introduction of the poster from the bottom of the pocket, but it also covers the variants in which the poster is inserted laterally.

In other words, for very high panels, the poster is introduced by the lower side of the pocket and its positioning inside the pocket is ensured by automatic sliding inside the pocket.

In a practical embodiment, the two attachment points are constituted by at least two hooks connected to the end of two straps capable of entering the pocket by two orifices located in the upper part of said pocket, the opposite ends of said straps being fixed on a shaft capable of being rotated to allow vertical movement of the hooks.

Thus, during the positioning of the poster, it suffices to hang the upper part of the poster on the two hooks and to actuate the rotary shaft to allow its rise in the high position.

When the invention operates by backlighting the poster, the rear film is of course transparent.

To improve the aesthetics of the device, the frame may include elements mounted on hinges, able to pivot on the peripheral zone of the pocket to camouflage it.

To solve the problem of the rigidity of the wind resistance of the pocket, the frame may advantageously include stop slats disposed behind the pocket.

Way of realizing the invention

In general, the display panels (1) to which the invention relates consist of a frame forming the frame (3), this frame being placed high on one or two uprights (4). The invention is not limited to this single embodiment but on the contrary is easily declined according to different heights, widths and supports.

Furthermore, the illustrated form constitutes an improved version of the invention in which the poster can be illuminated from the rear by means of lighting means (5) installed on the rear face of a housing (2) associated with the frame (3).

The rear face of the housing is conventionally constituted by a panel (10) of wood or metal or equivalent. The lateral (11, 12), lower (14) and upper (13) faces of this housing are formed by profiles mounted on the rear panel (10). The shape of these profiles is known per se so that it is not necessary to describe them further. The main characteristics of the invention reside in the means of securing the poster to the box.

Another essential characteristic of the invention is the use of a pocket (20) for placing the poster (21) inside the frame (3). This pocket (20) illustrated in Figures 4 to 6 consists essentially of two films (22, 23) superimposed of dimensions substantially equal to those of the frame (3) and secured on three sides by any known means of welding, bonding, possibly riveting, or even sewing. According to an essential aspect of the invention, the periphery of this pocket comprises a reinforced zone (24 - 27) carrying on its outer edge a rod (28) or a bead of greater thickness. More specifically, this reinforced peripheral zone (24-27) can be secured to the pocket during the assembly by welding of the films (22, 23) therebetween. Of course, the invention also covers all the variant embodiments which make it possible to arrive at the characteristic pocket, whether by gluing the peripheral zone or any other equivalent means.

According to an important characteristic, on the open side of the pocket, the peripheral zone (25) is only joined to the outer film (22) so as to allow the pocket to be yawned. In addition, the rear film (23) has, on this open side of the pocket, a means of attachment (30) to the frame (3) in order to maintain this rear film (23) when the pocket is opened. (20). Any known joining means, temporary or not, of the bonding or other type is used for this purpose.

Advantageously, a hooking by Velcro® band will be used allowing precise positioning, adjustable and infinitely reusable.

In a practical embodiment, the peripheral zone (24 -27) and the characteristic bead are independent from one side to the other of the pocket, this in order to allow hooking to the frame side by side.

The attachment to the frame, and the tensioning of the pocket (20), is carried out by placing the rod (28) inside characteristic profiles (31) as described in patent EP-A- 0 294 301, so there is no need to describe them in further detail. However, it should be noted that this type of profile (31) comprises two flexible strips (32, 33), oriented towards the inside of this profile (31) and having a certain flexibility allowing the easy insertion of the rod (28) between the two lamellae (32, 33). Given the orientation of these lamellae, and the presence of stops (34, 35) linked to the profiles (31), the pulling of the rod (28) outwards strips the lamellae (32, 33) and prohibited decoupling. Thus, for the establishment and for the extraction of the rod (28), it is necessary to use a tool as described in the aforementioned patent.

When the peripheral rods (28) are placed in the frame (3), the pocket (20) is placed under tension. Any type of accessory and auxiliary means can be envisaged to allow this tensioning, such as the use of peripheral zones having extensible bellows, or comprising eyelets for passage of an elastic cord, or any other means known elsewhere.

Advantageously, as illustrated in FIG. 2, the frame has set back hooking profiles, a plurality of stop slats (38) disposed behind the pocket. Thus, in the event of deformation of the pocket (20) due to the wind, it is limited in its rearward movement, so that the risks of tearing are very limited.

As illustrated briefly in FIG. 3 and in FIGS. 7 and 8, the positioning of the poster (21) inside the pocket (20) can be carried out by an advantageous lifting system. To this end, the housing (2) comprises in its central zone a rotary shaft (40) on which are mounted two pairs of flanges (41-44). Between each pair of flanges is fixed a strap (45, 46) of length greater than the height of the poster. These straps are provided with hooks (47, 48) at their free ends. The free ends of the straps slide in the plane of the pocket (20) and their positioning is ensured by two pulleys (49, 50) of return arranged just under the profile (31) forming the upper part of the frame (3). The hooks and the free parts of the straps enter the pocket through two openings in the rear film. Advantageously, these hooks support a slat (51) forming a gutter open upwards and capable of sliding inside the pocket (20).

This slat (51) is intended to cooperate with a complementary slat (52) glued to the upper and rear part of the poster (21).

Of course, the invention is not limited to this particular type of attachment, but on the contrary covers all equivalent variants allowing the poster to be lifted inside the pocket.

The positioning of the poster (21) inside the pocket (20) is carried out according to the following operations.

There is shown in Figure 8, a vertical section of the panel in which the pocket (20) is open, just before the placement of the poster (21). It is observed that in accordance with what has been said previously, the lower side of the rear film (23) remains integral with the frame, and more precisely with the attachment profile (31). On the contrary, the lower side of the outer film (22) is released from the attachment profile (31) and remains free, and thus allows the opening of the pocket (20). In parallel, the lifting system was activated to allow the sliding of the hooking strip (51) downwards, near the opening of the pocket (20). Advantageously, the rotation of this shaft (40) can be obtained by operating a crank or preferably by the action of a portable rotary tool, of the drill type.

In a preferred form, the poster (21) is installed pre-wound inside a bucket (55) which has means (66) for positioning and hooking in the lower profile (31) of the frame, which prevents the operator from holding the poster (21) and allows him to easily set up the slat (52) of the poster on the hanging lath (51) of the panel.

When this attachment is made, the operator removes the straps (45, 46) by action on the rotary shaft (40) until the poster arrives in its final high position. It only remains for him to extract the trough (55) from the poster holder and to reinsert the bead (28) on the lower side of the pocket (20) inside the corresponding profile (31). In this way, the pocket (20) is placed under tension and the poster (21) is found pressed into the pocket (20).

Of course, this method of positioning can be replaced by any type of positioning of the less sophisticated poster, in particular that described by the use of a spatula in patent EP 0 646 904.

In an aesthetic variant of the invention, it may be chosen to camouflage the peripheral zones (24 -27) of the pocket, as well as those of the poster by the use of additional parts (56) pivotally mounted on the frame ( 3) and intended to cover the area (24-27) to be camouflaged. This variant is illustrated in Figure 9 in which there is shown, in solid lines, the pivoting part (56) in the closed position and the same dotted part in the open position to allow the placement of the poster.

Claims (9)

Display device, of the type comprising a frame (2) forming a frame (3) inside which a poster (21) is arranged, and a transparent outer film (22) for protecting the poster (21), said outer film (22) being stretched over the frame (3), characterized: - in that the outer film (22) is associated with a second rear film (23) to form a pocket (20) closed on three sides, intended to receive the poster, - in that said pocket (20) has a reinforced peripheral zone (24-27), connecting the exterior (22) and rear (23) films, having means (28) for securing with the frame, - And in that the frame (3) has means (31) able to cooperate with the securing means (28) of the pocket, for the tensioning of the latter (20).
