Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electromagnetic switching device with an electromagnetic drive for the operational switching of currents in the load range and with a quick release connected in series for protection against currents in the overload range, with a switching chamber, with fixed contacts, movable contacts, quenching plates and contact bridge carriers, which by means of a two-armed, In the opening direction of the contact bridge, spring-loaded rocker switch can be actuated by a contactor magnet laterally offset with respect to the contact bridge carrier with a fixed part and a movable part, the quick release acting on the contact bridge carrier being arranged in such a way that the contact bridge carrier is actuated by the rocker switch of the contactor magnet and by the Rapid release takes place independently of one another, the contactor magnet and the quick release also being located on both sides of the actuation axis of the contact bridge support are arranged side by side, the rocker switch being pivotally mounted with its pivot axis approximately at the level of the contact surface of the contact bridge carrier and laterally next to it, and wherein the plunger of the quick release acts approximately
  • Such an electromagnetic switching device is known from EP-A-0 179 677. It is used for the operational switching of currents in various types of electrical systems. Due to the high currents to be switched, the contacts of such switchgear are subject to welding in the event of high overloads or short-circuit currents, since the dynamic opening of the contacts creates an arc. The welding of the contacts is countered by connecting a protective element or circuit breaker, for which an additional quick release is required, which opens the contacts very quickly in the event of an overload, so that they cannot weld. However, the shutdown and current limitation cannot be implemented in such a way that welding or an increased erosion of the contacts is reliably prevented in any case.
  • the electromagnetic quick release acts on the contact bridge support via an intermediate lever and a pretensioned switching mechanism.
  • the triggering devices act equally on the pretensioned switch lock and on the plunger on the contact bridge support of the switching device or the transmission device assigned to it.
  • this control unit acts on the contact bridge support.
  • the quick release is connected in series with the electromagnet for actuating an unlocking pawl to open the switching contacts and acts directly and without delay with its pusher without an intermediate element the contact bridge support.
  • this requires an additional resilient mounting of the contact bridge support on a support lever which interacts with the unlocking pawl. This also delays the contact opening inadmissibly.
  • the known switching devices are bulky and must be dismantled to replace the contactor solenoid. In addition, relatively large masses must be moved against the pressure of the contact spring when opening the contact bridge with the movable contacts arranged thereon.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a particularly compact arrangement of electromagnetic drive and quick release in such electromagnetic switching devices, which on the one hand guarantees a direct instantaneous opening of the contacts when the quick release is actuated, but also for opening the contact bridge without actuating the Rapid release only small masses have to be moved.
  • the invention has the advantage that the quick release acts directly on the contact bridge carrier with a compact design of the switching device and, in the event of an overcurrent release or a short circuit, causes the contact opening directly.
  • the current limitation of the forward current is essentially dependent on the opening time of the contacts, which in turn depends on the response time of the quick release. Any intermediate component, lever or switch lock would lead to a significant increase in the transmission values given the steepness of the current rise curve.
  • the modular combination of the switch parts provided with other components results in particularly easy assembly of such switchgear, which also enables fully automatic production and assembly of such switchgear due to the special arrangement and structure of the existing device parts.
  • the electromagnetic switching device 1 has an electromagnetic drive 2 for the operational switching of currents in the load range and a quick release 3 in series therewith for protection against currents in the overload range.
  • the contact bridge support 8 which can be actuated by means of a rocker switch 9 by means of a contactor magnet 10 which is laterally offset with respect to the contact bridge support 8.
  • the quick release 3 acting on the contact bridge support 8 is arranged such that the contact bridge support 8 is actuated independently of one another by the rocker switch 9 of the contactor magnet 10 and by the quick release 3.
  • the electromagnetic contactor drive 10 and the quick release 3 are arranged parallel to one another on both sides of the longitudinal central axis or on both sides of the actuation axis 11 of the contact bridge carrier 8.
  • the electromagnetic quick release 3 is arranged so that it acts in the event of a high overload current (short-circuit current) directly and without delay on the contact bridge carrier 8 without an intermediate member and brings about the contact opening.
  • the contactor magnet 10 and the quick release 3 with their plungers 10a and 3a are arranged axially parallel to the longitudinal center axis or to the actuation axis 11 of the contact bridge carrier 8.
  • a compression spring 12 actuated rocker switch 9 with its pivot axis 13 in the actuating direction of the contact bridge support 8 below the fixed part or the magnetic core 14 of the protective magnet 10 and approximately at the level of the contact surface 15 of the contact bridge support 8 and is located with it from the contact bridge support 8 opposite leg 16 on the compression spring 12, which is supported on the switch housing 17 outside of the contactor magnet 10 offset laterally.
  • the plunger 3a of the quick release 3 engages at approximately the same height or only slightly offset in height, as the rocker switch 9 engages the contact surface 15 of the contact bridge carrier 8.
  • the compression spring 12 serving as an opening spring for the contact bridge engages on the leg 16 of the rocker switch 9 which is directed away from the contact bridge support 8 approximately parallel to the actuating direction or axis 11 of the contact bridge support 8. It is supported against the direction of actuation of the contactor magnet 10 on the switch housing 17, the leg 16 of the switching rocker 9, which acts away from the contact bridge support 8, acting approximately in an extension of the axis of the compression spring 12 of the plunger 10a of the contactor magnet 10, which engages with the movable part 18 of the contactor magnet is firmly connected.
  • the movable part 18 of the contactor magnet 10 is also fastened to a yoke 20 which is displaceably guided on the cover 19 of the switch housing 17 in the actuating direction of the contactor magnet 10, from which the plunger 10a protrudes outside the contactor magnet 10 in the actuating direction of the contactor magnet against the rocker switch 9 and from which Boom 21 for actuating one next to the quick release 3 on the opposite side wall 22 within the switch housing 17 arranged auxiliary switch 23 is directed to the side.

  • a driver 25 protruding out of the housing of the auxiliary switch is used, on which the arm 21 of the yoke 20 of the contactor magnet 10 comes to rest when the contactor magnet is excited to trigger the auxiliary switch 23.
  • the fixed part or the magnetic core 14 of the contactor magnet 10 is fastened between the lower housing part 26 and the housing cover 19 of the switch housing 17 such that the contactor magnet coil 27 is exposed after the housing cover 19 has been lifted off and can be exchanged for a coil with different voltage or frequency values from the front of the switching device 1 without dismantling the switching device 1.
