- un dispositif d'encrage des caractères d'imprimerie de la tête d'impression 3 constitué ici par un rouleau encreur escamotable 25 porté par un double levier 26 à rappel à ressort articulé de part et d'autre de l'unité d'imprimerie et hors de celle-ci sur deux pivots 27 portés par deux consoles latérales 28 solidaires d'un support 29 lié au boîtier 1, un seul levier 26, un seul pivot 27 et une seule console 28 étant visibles sur le dessin,
- et un dispositif de séparation et de distribution des étiquettes 11 portés par la bande continue 10 constitué par l'association d'une extrémité recourbée en épingle à cheveux 23 de la table d'impression 8 qui a pour fonction de séparer les étiquettes de la bande continue et par un rouleau presseur 24 permettant de coller ces étiquettes par pression de la machine sur l'article à étiqueter.

- And a device for separating and distributing the labels 11 carried by the continuous strip 10 constituted by the association of a curved end of a hairpin 23 of the printing table 8 which has the function of separating the labels from the continuous strip and by a pressure roller 24 allowing these labels to be affixed by machine pressure on the article to be labeled.

Ces mécanismes de type connu, mise à part toutefois la fonction spéciale du dispositif d'encrage 25-26-27-28 et 29 qui sera détaillée plus loin, sont complétés par un dispositif de retenue propre à l'invention et qui est destiné à empêcher une deuxième impression de ca­ractères sur les étiquettes par retour de la tête d'im­pression consécutif au phénomène de rebond signalé en début d'exposé. - un poussoir 30, une butée latérale 31 et deux crans de retenue 32 et 33 formés ici par le contour inférieur d'une pièce plane 34 rapportée et fixée sur le levier 4 d'un côté de la tête d'impression 3 en regard de la table d'impression 8,
- un organe rotatif de retenue constitué par un levier 35 portant un premier bras 36 et un second bras 37 formant un V, pivoté par son sommet sur un pivot 38 solidaire de la table d'impression 8, et à déplacement angulaire alternatif dont le plan de rotation est perpendiculaire à ladite table d'impression 8 et étendu dans la direction de la longueur de celle-ci. Ce levier 35, montré également par les figures 7 et 8, comporte un élément de rappel qui lui est solidaire et qui est constitué par une came 39 formant un dièdre 40 soumis tangentiellement à la pression permanente d'un ressort à lame 41 fixé à la table d'impression 8, et dont l'arête 42 définit la position de basculement de ce levier, sous la pression du ressort 41, entre une première position angulaire de repos correspondant à celle montrée figure 1 et une seconde position an­gulaire de repos correspondant à celle montrée figure 2, ces deux positions angulaires étant explicitées plus loin,
- un bras d'escamotage 43 du premier bras 36 du levier 35, à rappel élastique, qui est constitué ici par un prolongement de l'un des deux leviers latéraux 26 du dispositif d'encrage, mais qui pourrait sans inconvénients être indépendant de ce dernier, comme il sera montré plus loin par la description de la variante représentée figure 6.

- pendant le mouvement de rapprochement relatif des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie, c'est-à-dire ici pendant l'abaissement de la tête d'impression 3 consécutif à l'actionnement de la gâchette 13, le bras d'escamotage 43 se déplace dans un sens figuré par l'arc de cercle C1 (fig. 1), sous l'effet de la poussée de la came 45 sur le rouleau encreur 25, rencontre le premier bras 36 au niveau de son extension latérale 44, et pousse ce premier bras de sa position levée d'attente vers sa position d'escamotage, ce qui pour effet de faire pivoter le levier 35 de sa première position angulaire selon figure 1 à sa seconde position angulaire selon figure 2,
- avant la rencontre des deux éléments de l'unité d'impri­merie, c'est-à-dire de la tête d'impression 3 avec la table d'impression 8, dans une phase comprise entre celles représentées par les figures 2 et 3 et qui précède la frappe des caractères 47 sur une étiquette de la bande, 10, le poussoir 30 rencontre le deuxième bras 37 du levier 35 et pousse ce deuxième bras de sa position levée d'attente selon figure 2 vers sa position abaissée de repos, ce qui a pour effet de faire pivoter le levier 35, en sens inverse, de sa deuxième position angulaire selon figure 2 et de faire pivoter le premier bras 36 dudit levier jusqu'à sa rencontre avec la butée latérale 31 contre laquelle il est maintenu en position d'attente d'engagement élastique dans un cran de retenue 32 ou 33 jusqu'à la rencontre des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie, selon figure 3, prêt à s'engager dans l'un des deux crans de retenue en cas de rebond consécutif à cette rencontre, et ceci par l'action du ressort 41 sur l'arête 42 du dièdre, comme montré par la figure 4,
- pendant le mouvement d'écartement des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie, c'est-à-dire ici pendant la remontée de la tête d'impression consécutive au relâchement de la gâchette 13, l'action du ressort 41 sur l'arête 42 du dièdre achève de faire tourner le levier 35 jusqu'à sa première position angulaire, dans une phase comprise entre celles représentées par les figures 4 et 5, cependant que le bras d'escamotage 43 se déplace dans un sens opposé, selon la phase représentée par la figure 5, rencontre le premier bras 36 et le pousse au-delà de sa position levée d'attente, ce qui a pour effet de faire pivoter pour un temps très bref le levier 35 au-delà de sa première position angulaire et contre l'action du ressort 41 sur le dièdre 40 jusqu'à ce que ce premier bras 36 cède le passage au bras d'escamotage 43, après quoi le levier 35 retourne en sens inverse pour reprendre sa première position angulaire de repos selon figure 1 sous l'action du ressort 41 sur le dièdre 40.

Machine à étiqueter portative comportant un boîtier (1) muni d'une poignée de manutention (2), une unité d'imprimerie située dans le boîtier et comprenant au moins une tête d'impression (3) à sélecteur de caractères et une table d'impression (8) aptes à se rencontrer pour la frappe de caractères choisis, un dispositif d'entraînement pas-à-pas (19) d'une bande continue porteuse d'étiquettes (10) le long d'un circuit passant sur la table d'impression, une gâchette (13) reliée à l'unité d'imprimerie et au dispositif d'entraînement pas-à-pas pour provoquer alternativement à chaque actionnement la frappe des caractères choisis sur une étiquette et à chaque relâchement l'écartement des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie ainsi que l'avance d'un pas de la bande continue, un dispositif d'encrage des caractères choisis apte à être mis alternativement en condition d'escamotage et en condition d'encrage en synchronisme avec les mouvements respectifs de rapprochement et d'écartement des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie, un dispositif de retenue destiné à s'opposer à une seconde impression des caractères choisis provoquée par un rebond consécutif à la rencontre des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie avant le relâchement de la gâchette et comprenant, d'un côté au moins des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie, d'une part un poussoir, une butée latérale et au moins un cran de retenue disposés en position fixe sur l'un des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie, et d'autre part sur l'autre élément de l'unité d'impri­merie un organe rotatif de retenue à actionnement séquentiel synchronisé aux mouvements relatifs des éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie et sollicité par le poussoir, à élément de rappel soumis à la pression d'un ressort, et apte à s'appuyer contre la butée latérale par sollicitation du poussoir lors de la frappe des caractères choisis et à s'engager dans le cran de retenue pendant le rebond précité, et un dispositif de séparation et de distribution (23, 24) des étiquettes de la bande continue vers l'exté­rieur du boîtier pour permettre leur fixation par collage sur les articles à étiqueter, caractérisée en ce que :
-l'organe rotatif de retenue est un levier (35) comportant un premier bras (36) et un second bras (37) formant un V,
- ce levier est pivoté à son sommet et son déplacement angulaire est alternatif,
- l'élément de rappel est une came formant un dièdre (40) solidiare du levier, ce dièdre étant soumis à la pression premanente du ressort (41) et son arête (42) définissant la position de basculement dudit levier entre une première et une seconde positions angulaires différentes,
- dans la première position angulaire du levier son premier bras (36) est en position levée d'attente orientée vers l'autre élément de l'unité d'imprimerie cependant que son deuxième bras (37) est en position abaissée d'escamotage,
- dans la seconde position angulaire du levier son premier bras (36) est en position escamotée cependant que son deuxième bras (37) est en position levée d'attente sur la trajectoire du poussoir (30),
- un bras d'escamotage (43, 430) du premier bras (36) du levier est monté mobile dans le boîtier, le mouvement de ce bras d'escamotage étant alternatif et synchronisé par liaison mécanique aux mouve­ments de rapprochement et d'écartement des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie,
- pendant le mouvement de rapprochement des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie, le bras d'escamota­ge (43, 430) se déplace dans un sens, rencontre le premier bras (36) du levier et pousse ce premier bras de sa position levée d'attente vers sa position abaissée d'escamotage, ce qui a pour effet de faire pivoter le levier de sa première position angulaire à sa deuxième position angulaire,
- avant la rencontre des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie, le poussoir (30) rencontre le deuxième bras (37) du levier et pousse ce deuxième bras de sa position levée d'attente vers sa position abaissée de repos, ce qui a pour effet de faire pivoter le levier, en sens inverse, de sa deuxième position angulaire vers sa première position angu­laire et de pivoter le premier bras (36) dudit levier jusqu'à sa rencontre avec la butée latérale (31) contre laquelle il est maintenu en position d'attente d'engagement élastique dans le cran de retenue (32) jusqu'à la rencontre des deux éléments de l'unité d'imprimerie, prêt à s'engager dans ledit cran de retenue en cas de rebond consécutif à cette rencontre, par l'action du ressort (41) sur l'arête (42) du dièdre,
- et pendant le mouvement d'écartement des deux élé­ments de l'unité d'imprimerie consécutif au relâ­chement de la gâchette, l'action du ressort sur l'arête (42) du dièdre achève de faire tourner le levier jusqu'à sa première position angulaire cependant que le bras d'escamotage (43, 430) se déplace dans un sens opposé, rencontre le premier bras (36) et le pousse au-delà de sa position levée d'attente, ce qui a pour effet de faire pivoter le levier au-delà de sa première position angulaire et contre l'action du ressort sur le dièdre (40) jusqu'à ce que ce premier bras cède le passage au bras d'escamotage (43, 430), après quoi le levier retourne en sens inverse pour reprendre sa première position angulaire sous l'action du ressort sur le dièdre.
