Description

The invention relates to a spout for sanitary fittings with the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.
Known outlet mouthpieces of this type are used both with a ventilation device for enriching the emerging water jet with air bubbles and without ventilation devices in sanitary fittings, for example in washbasin, kitchen and bath fittings, in particular through the sieves arranged transversely in the area of the outlet opening, a homogeneous, splash-free and soft water jet is generated (DE-OS 30 00 799 / DE-OS 14 59 518).
The service life of the outlet mouthpieces is usually determined by particles carried in the water and the excretions from the water, in particular lime deposits, which close the through openings. As has been confirmed with tests, those carried in the water usually have Particles only have a minor influence on the service life. In contrast, the calcium deposits from the water, which settle as deposits in the sieve and thus close the sieve mesh, cause a significant reduction in the service life. In the case of a supply network with a water of 18 to 22 ° dH, with a commercial outlet mouthpiece with a normal frequency of use, the jet pattern of the water emerging from the mouthpiece was clearly impaired after less than a quarter of a year.

The invention has for its object to provide an outlet mouthpiece according to the preamble of claim 1, which is relatively insensitive to lime deposits from the water.

This object is achieved in that the downstream sieve has the largest possible mesh size, the mesh size can be chosen so large that a water droplet covering the cross section of the water outlet opening is kept under the sieve after the water inlet has been shut off.
DE-OS 30 00 799 already mentions a favorable effect of a drain-side sieve with a coarser mesh size, although only a doubling of the mesh size to the upstream fine sieves is proposed. Commercially available fine sieves have a mesh size of about 0.5 mm. The outstanding importance of the largest possible mesh size with regard to the calcification behavior is obviously not recognized.

With the design according to the invention it is surprisingly achieved that the lime deposits of the water are essentially completely harmless to the functionality of the outlet mouthpiece. This is probably achieved by the fact that, in normal periods of use, only the water droplet hanging in the lower sieve dries in the air and the lime deposits are deposited harmlessly on the coarse meshes of the lower sieve. In addition, the adhesion of the limescale deposits to the coarse-mesh sieve should also be reduced, since in an experiment with a commercially available outlet mouthpiece with unchanged sieves and a parallel outlet nozzle with sieves according to the invention, it was found that hardly any limescale deposits were found in the sieve according to the invention if that conventional sieve was almost completely closed with limescale.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the lower sieve can advantageously be formed from a braid that has a clear mesh size of approximately 1.2 mm to 5 mm. The individual screens can also be expediently enlarged in the mesh size in the outflow direction.

In the case of an outlet mouthpiece with a ventilation device, the lower sieve can advantageously be formed from a wire mesh which has a clear mesh size of approximately 1.5 mm, while the upstream wire mesh sieves have a clear mesh size of 0.5 mm. Finally, the individual sieves can advantageously be made of calcification-insensitive material such as plastic.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing, partly in longitudinal section, as an outlet mouthpiece with a ventilation device and is described in more detail below.

The outlet mouthpiece shown corresponds with its housing 1 and a ventilation device 2 to a commercially available water jet aerator.
The outlet mouthpiece is connected with its housing 1 with the aid of a thread 11 and a seal 12 to the outlet pipe of a water tap fitting. In the water tapping process, the outflowing water first passes through a strainer 3 with which coarse particles are separated from the water. Thereafter, the inflowing water is broken down into jet nozzles 21 into individual jets which have a high speed, which creates a negative pressure so that air is supplied to the water jets through air intake channels 22 and mixes with them. Sieves 5, 6 are arranged at a distance from one another downstream of the ventilation device 2. The screens 5 have a square wire mesh, each of which has a mesh size of 0.5 mm. The downstream sieve 6 also has a square wire mesh, the clear mesh size of which is 1.5 mm. The water-air mixture generated in the ventilation device 2 is homogenized by the sieves 5 and leaves the outlet mouthpiece through the sieve 6. When the water inflow is shut off, the remaining water remains adhering between the sieves 5 to 6 and forms a drop below the sieve 6, which has the total cross section of the outlet mouthpiece covered. In the periods when no water is tapped, the water drop hanging below the sieve 6 dries and deposits the lime deposits on the lower sieve 6, which substantially prevents 5 lime deposits from occurring on the narrower sieves.
Experiments have shown that the tendency to calcification is significantly reduced or at least triples in life compared to conventional water outlet mouthpieces can be achieved.
