Description

The invention relates to a device for removing objects from a stack of such objects with a stack support supporting the stack and a removal conveyor provided with at least one driver, the driver of which engages in the stack profile for removing objects from the stack.

Regularly shaped objects such as exercise books, blocks of paper or other sheet material, wrapped stacks of paper, boxes, packages and the like are usually kept ready for further processing or packaging in a stack of such objects which rests on a stacking support. The objects to be processed are removed from the stack individually or in groups of several objects lying on top of one another by means of a slide, in that they are pushed out sideways under the stack via the stack support. The removed items are fed to a packaging machine for further processing.

The invention has for its object to provide a device of the type described above, with which this process can be implemented reliably and with little effort.

This object is achieved in a device of the type described in the introduction in that the gripping height of the driver is adjustable relative to the stack support. The gripping height of the drivers can thus be adjusted to the height of the objects to be removed from the stack in the device proposed according to the invention, This is particularly important when groups of several objects lying on top of one another are to be removed from the stack or when easily deformable objects are to be treated. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the removal conveyor is designed as an endless conveyor provided with at least one driver and rotating parallel to the stack support. In continuation of the invention, the stacking support is arranged in a stationary manner and adjusting means are provided with which the removal conveyor can be adjusted relative to the stacking support for the purpose of adjusting the gripping height of the drivers. The particular advantage of this arrangement is that the adjustment of the gripping height of the drivers can be carried out with little expenditure of time and personnel, because all drivers are set together.

A structurally particularly advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention results from the fact that the removal conveyor is arranged below the stack support and that the drivers of the removal conveyor engage through slots in the stack support in the stack profile. The removal conveyor is mounted on a support frame that is adjustable with respect to the stack support, which makes the adjustment of the gripping height of the drivers particularly simple. A motorized drive or also a manual drive can be provided as adjusting means for adjusting the position of the removal conveyor relative to the stack support.

In order to be able to feed the objects removed from the stack directly to a processing machine in a conveying process, a further embodiment of the invention provides that the stack support in the removal direction of the objects with one processing support machine connecting guideway is connected and that the removal conveyor is also assigned to the guideway as funding. A film wrapping machine can be provided as the processing machine, for example, in which the objects are wrapped individually or in groups lying one on top of the other in a plastic film.

According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, a height-adjustable retention stop is provided above the stacking support in the removal direction of the objects, which makes it possible to dose the removal of objects from the stack. By adjusting the height of the restraint stop and the drivers of the removal conveyor, the height of the partial stacks or groups of objects to be removed from the stack can be predefined in a simple manner.

The device according to the invention offers a very simple possibility of adjusting the drivers of the removal conveyor to different products or item heights. All drivers are adjusted together with a single adjusting means, so that the device can be converted for the treatment of different products with little expenditure of time and personnel. The adjustability of the height of the carriers as well as the adjustment option of the restraint stop allow dosing of the removal of objects from the stack. In this way, the number of objects to be removed can be specified in the case of partial stacks to be removed or of groups of objects lying one on top of the other. The adjustability of the driver height is also advantageous if the following processing machine has an inlet opening that is limited in height. In addition, the device according to the invention is structurally very simple and easy to operate.

In both figures, the same reference numerals are used for the same parts.

A stack 2 of objects 3 rests on a stack support 1 and is to be removed from the stack 2 as a partial stack 4 and fed to a further processing machine 7 in the direction of an arrow 6. The stack 2 lies in a stack holder, the front and rear boundaries of which are formed by walls 8 and 8a. The lower section 8b of the front boundary wall 8 serves as a retention stop for the objects remaining in the stack when an object is pushed out. The boundary wall 8 is adjustable in height, for which purpose it is connected to a spindle drive 9 and a drive 11 in the illustration in FIG. 1.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, a film wrapping machine is provided as a further processing machine, the product inlet of which is indicated with guide rollers 12 and 12a for feeding a lower film 13 and an upper film 13a and a shape shoulder 14 for shaping the upper film around the partial stack 4a to be packaged.

Below the stack support 1, 16 deflection rollers 17 are mounted on a support frame, around which an endless conveyor 18, for example in the form of a revolving chain, is guided with drivers 19 as a removal conveyor. As FIG. 2 shows, the stack support 1 has slots 21 running parallel in the conveying direction 6, through which the drivers 19 successively protrude into the stack profile of the stack 2. The endless conveyor 18 is driven by a belt drive 22, which is guided via deflection rollers 22a and a drive roller 22b. The drive takes place by means of a motor 23. The support frame 16 rests Supports 24, which are guided in a height-adjustable manner in the machine frame 26. Actuating bars 28 are attached to cross members 27 of the supporting frame 16, the lower ends of which are designed as toothed bars 28a. Pinions 29 are in engagement with the toothed racks 28a and are driven jointly by an engine 32 via an axis 31. With a correspondingly stable design of the actuating rods 28, they can also assume the guiding functions of the supports 24 at the same time, so that they can be dispensed with and the support frame 16 is carried by the actuating rods 28. On the other hand, it is also possible to use the side supports 24 for the height adjustment of the support frame, so that separate actuating rods 28 can be omitted. This is indicated in FIG. 2 by a pinion 29a assigned to one of the supports 24.

By simply adjusting the height of the support frame 16 with the endless conveyor 18 by means of the drive 32 relative to the stationary stack support 1, the gripping height of the drivers 19 above the stack support can be adjusted to a desired object height. In the present exemplary embodiment, the drivers 19 take partial stacks 4, each with four superimposed objects 3, and push them under the underside of the boundary wall 8, which serves as a retaining stop 8b, to the film wrapping machine 7 lets pass, but holds back the next object 3 lying thereon. By adjusting the front boundary wall 8 and the gripping height of the driver 19, a targeted metering of the removal from the stack 2 is possible. The height adjustability of the driver 19 also allows it to be set so that it directly into the inlet area of the subsequent Processing machine can be moved, even if there are height-limiting guides, such as the format shoulder 14 in the illustration of FIG. 1, are provided.

To illustrate the height adjustability of the support frame 16 with the endless conveyor 18 racks and pinions are described here. It goes without saying that any other adjustment means can be used for the height adjustment of the support frame and the gripping height adjustment of the drivers. The invention is not dependent on these adjustment means. Instead of the motor drives 11 and 32, of course, manually operated drives can also be used.
