It might be that in the non-prepublished European patent application 204,381 (publication date December 10, 1986) it has been indicated that a substructure construction for an artificial grassfield can be obtained from a mixture of sand and cuttings or fibres of an elestomeric material, but these cuttings or fibres have a length of 10-40 mm and a thickness of 1-4 mm. This means that one used small sheets having a thickness being about 10% of the length .

When the damping power is too small the playing surface is relatively hard and the chance of getting injured is too great.Therefore it is very difficult to construct a substructure construction for a field of artificial grass whereby the final result is that the sportsman experiences the artificial grass as much as possible the same as a field of natural grass.

Claims (6)

1. Verfahren zum Erstellen eines Unterbaus für einen Kunstrasenplatz durch Bereitstellen einer Grundlage auf einer vorhandenen oder vorbereiteten Sandschicht, wobei die Grundlage zum größeren Teil aus natürlichem runden Sand oder Flußsand besteht, dem ein Material organischen Ursprungs in einer Menge von mehr als 1 Gew.-% bezogen auf die Sandmenge hinzugefügt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß 60 bis 70 Gew.-% Flußsand gleichmäßig in einer Menge von 40 bis 30 Gew.-% Gummiteilchen verteilt ist, wobei der Hauptanteil der Teilchen einer Dicke aufweist, die größer ist als die halbe Teilchenlänge.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Gummiteilchen von mechanisch zerkleinerten Fahrzeugreifen stammen, wobei der größere Teil der Teilchen eine Siebgröße von 6 bis 11 mm hat und frei von Textilien und Stahl ist.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1-2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Füllung der Gummimatrix mit Sandteilchen verbessert wird durch Hinzufügen von bis zu. 10 Gew.-% Wasser während des Mischens von Sand und Gummiteilchen.
4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1-3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mischung aus Gummi und Sand auf der Grundlage in einer Höhe von 4 bis 20 cm aufgebracht wird.
5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1-4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Gummiteilchen und die Sandkömer im wesentlichen das gleiche Gewicht haben.
6. Kunstrasenfeld mit einem Unterbau und einer oberen Schicht mit synthetischen Fasern, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Unterbau wie in den Ansprüchen 1-5 beschrieben, bereitgestellt wird.
