Abstract

In an oar boat having fixed oar housings and outriggers movable in the direction of the length of the boat, the outriggers are provided like sliding outriggers (1) which may slide without tilting forwards or backwards in a single linear guiding (11) like a slide. According to a particular arrangement, connection devices (17, 18) are arranged between the outboard segments of the sliding outriggers (1). Said connection devices may also be arranged inside the boat hull. The linear guiding (11) is substantially comprised of a shaft (12) extending in parallel to the longitudinal axis of the boat inside or outside the hull (11a). On said axis (12) are guided by sliding and/or rolling one or a plurality of suspension elements (13) connected to one or a plurality of outriggers (1).

Description

The invention relates to a rowing boat with at least one rudder seat fixed to the boat and associated with it, which can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the boat, with a rigidly coupled stretcher board.

Such a rowing boat is known from British Patent 607158. There the unit consisting of brackets and stretcher boards is guided in a total of three linear guides, two of which are arranged on the side and another below the stretcher boards. Such guides cannot be produced with sufficiently precise parallelism. When rowing, there is therefore considerable friction loss in the guides or the sliding boom jams between the guides.

In contrast, the invention has for its object to design the generic rowing boat so that it is easy to row for all types of rowing boats including multi-hulled boats and the risk of jamming or jamming of the sliding boom is eliminated.

This issue is solved with the features characterized in claim 1. Accordingly, the linear longitudinal movement of the sliding arm of a single linear guide, for. B. a rail, for example, guided by ball or slide bearing elements, rollers or the like. Precisely. Since the lateral guide play is minimal in the principle of the linearly guided slide used here, the risk of canting is practically excluded according to the invention. This alone supports an even movement of the individual rower.

According to a further embodiment with at least two coupled sliding arms or also with one or more groups of sliding arms within a boat, it is sufficient if such a total arm is mounted on the linear guide at least at both ends. In addition to making the construction cheaper, a weight reduction can also be achieved.

The connection devices that implement the motion coupling in the overall boom can be designed to be easily detachable within the scope of the invention. The coupling of movements makes the adjustment of the individual rowers to the team rhythm much easier. The connecting device can either be arranged between extra-large sections of the sliding boom and / or within the boat hull.

It can be particularly useful in multi-hulled rowing boats, but also in rowing boats with a two-row seat arrangement, to couple the sliding arms of several rows or of seating groups of different rows with each other. The linear guide is expediently implemented as a shaft or rail which runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the boat and is arranged inside or outside the hull. In this case, suspension elements are mounted in a rolling or sliding manner along the shaft or rail, to which the sliding arms are attached or suspended. Instead of using closed bearings - ball bushings or sliding bushes - the linear guidance can also be achieved with support rollers. These are arranged in a cage enclosing the rail profile of the linear guide in such a way that they can absorb at least all horizontal forces which act on the linear guide via the cantilever and the cage. Guide play and friction losses are largely avoided, since the only linear guide does not take the twists of the rowing boat into account when rowing.

For proper rowing, it is necessary that the sliding boom movements always take place in a substantially horizontal plane. According to a further embodiment, this is achieved - with simultaneous relief and simplification of the linear guide - that support rollers are attached to the side of the suspension element for vertical support of the sliding arm. On the other hand, it is also possible that the vertical support of the sliding boom is taken over either by the linear guide or by the stretcher bars. The latter are expediently equipped with support rollers for this purpose.

According to a further embodiment according to the invention, it is provided that in a starting position of the sliding boom (s), the distances between the rudder seat and stretcher board are adjustable, and that, according to this adjustment, the oarlock is slidably mounted on the sliding boom. This allows the rudder seat and / or the stretcher to be moved and adjusted so that each rower can fully extend his legs. If, for example, the rudder seat is moved a certain distance from the normal position along the longitudinal axis of the boat, then it is advantageous if the oarlock on the sliding boom can also be moved in parallel by the same distance. For this purpose, according to a further development, a guide rail is arranged on the sliding boom in such a way that the oarlock can be moved therein by the maximum distance which corresponds to the difference in leg length between the largest and smallest rowers. Such a setting can be conveniently carried out from the rowing place by means of tightening and locking levers in the area of the oarlock.

To facilitate storage and transportation, the sliding booms according to the invention can be quickly installed and removed with a stretcher and are designed to be foldable by means of articulated elements.

By coupling the sliding booms to form an overall boom, all lateral compressive and tensile forces are aligned so that they largely cancel each other out. As a result, the loads on the bearings and thus the requirements for the bending stiffness of the linear guide are reduced in such a way that it can be manufactured in a lightweight manner. In addition, ball and roller bearings are saved, which would otherwise have to be provided at each rowing position in order to to achieve the required smoothness with low friction losses.

In practice it has been shown that when using a full boom, which by means of z. B. Ball bushings with built-in self-compensation of misalignments along the linear guide, the required straightness tolerance between the two opposite ends of the bearings (in the example about 6 m - 60 m) can be easily maintained. In the area between the two total boom end positions, depending on the nature of the sliding boom and boat, simple support rollers can suffice. When using bearings made of ball bushings on a shaft or aligned shaft pieces, these bearings should be installed in a rubber-elastic floating manner. The "floating" of the bearings compensates for static stresses and prevents the bearing load from exceeding the permissible values; however, it must not cause the entire boom to swim.

  • Fig. eine Draufsicht auf ein erfindungsgemässes Ruderboot,
  • Fig. 3 eine Schnittansicht längs der Linie III-III in Fig. 2.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. It shows:
  • 1 shows a plan view of a rowing boat according to the invention,
  • 2 shows a sectional view along the line 11-11 of FIG. 1,
  • 3 shows a sectional view along the line III-III in FIG. 2.

Die Stemmbretter 3 sind zur Förderung des Bewegungsablaufs beim Rudern um eine Stange 9 schwenk- oder klappbar.1, the rowing boat according to the invention comprises slidably mounted sliding booms 1 with extra-sided side surfaces 2 and stretcher bars 3 each rigidly connected to the sliding booms 1. Furthermore, a rudder seat 4 which is adjustable in its position is provided, which is locked in place with respect to the boat hull 11a during the rowing trip. The - seen in the direction of travel F - rear sliding boom is designed as a double boom with two side surfaces 2 on each side of the boat, which gives the possibility of sculling instead of oar rowing. Furthermore, the side surfaces 2 are provided at their edges parallel to the direction of travel with oarlocks 5, which are slidably received in guide rails 6. In addition to the guide rail 6 serves to position the oarlock 5 in the longitudinal direction of the boat a tightening lever 7 and a corresponding counter lever 8. These two levers are expediently designed so that the rower can operate them comfortably from his seat 4. The stretcher bars 3 can be swiveled or folded around a bar 9 to promote the movement sequence when rowing.

The stretcher bars 3 further comprise a further rod 10, which serves as a support for the heels of the oarsmen.

According to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, a linear guide 11 is arranged inside the boat hull 11a and essentially comprises an inner, continuous shaft 12, which is surrounded by steel casings or steel sleeves 12a arranged at intervals from one another, and cage-like suspension elements 13, in which rollers running on the steel sleeves 12a 14 are included. The inner bet 12 are preferably made of plastic, e.g. B. G FK, and the sleeves or jackets made of steel, metal or the like. Internal shafts designed in this way as the core of the linear guide 11 ensure elastic compensation of static tension between the jib 1 and boat hull 11a, while the metal sleeves or sheaths 12a, which are largely resistant to deformation in relation to the plastic shaft 12, guarantee precise longitudinal guidance of the sliding boom 1. The rollers 14 are articulated within the suspension element 13 with little play.

Furthermore, further rollers 15 are articulated on the sliding arms 1 and are run in horizontal guide rails 16, each of which is arranged in the edge region of the boat hull 11a and extends in the longitudinal direction of the boat. The horizontal guide rails 16 are designed and arranged in such a way that they prevent the rollers 15 from leaving the corresponding horizontal plane.

According to the present example, the movements of two or more sliding arms 1 can be coupled by means of a flat connecting device 17. Depending on requirements, it can be removed and reattached by means of dotted fastening elements 26.

Die Stange 18 stellt somit eine weitere Möglichkeit zur Kupplung einzelner oder aller Gleitausleger 1 miteinander dar.2, a rigid rod 18 is connected to the brackets 1 in a movement-locking manner via, for example, welding points 27. A lock 19, which interrupts the rod 18 at each level of the sliding arm, enables the individual sliding arms 1 to be coupled or uncoupled in terms of movement. The rod 18 thus represents a further possibility for coupling individual or all sliding arms 1 to one another.

To promote the relaxation of the rower when putting his legs on the display, the interposition of a soft spring 20 in the rigid rod 18 is useful: it promotes the movement of the rower in the display, thus stabilizing his rowing rhythm and can thus promote harmony when team rowing. When the rower's legs slide into the reserve, the soft spring 20 is deflected and tensioned. In order to ensure shock-free braking for the sliding boom 1 shortly before the end position of the reserve is reached, a further, hard spring 21 according to the exemplary embodiment is connected in series with the soft spring 20. B. is deflected by a superimposed steel chord (not shown).

According to FIG. 3, the rudder can be adapted to the rower's physical condition by varying the length ratio of the inner rudder lever 22 to the outer lever 23 via a multi-stage oar ring 24 (multi-oar ring) surrounding the oar spar. Finally, a folding element 25 designed as a hinge with a console serves to facilitate transport and accommodation. A purpose moderate folding movement is indicated by the round arrow according to FIG. 3.
