Definitions
- the invention relates to an omnidirectional horn loudspeaker according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such loudspeakers are used for the sound reinforcement of extensive areas from an elevated location with speech, music or signal tones, e.g. in sound transmission systems in stadiums or in disaster warning systems, and they mostly have sound funnels whose cross-sectional shape follows exponential or hyperbolic functions.
- An axially radiating horn loudspeaker is also known, to the funnel neck of which two pressure chamber systems are connected with the interposition of a so-called Y-piece.
- This known loudspeaker has a pronounced butt joint, which causes poor adaptation of the systems.
- the invention has for its object to improve the adaptation between several pressure chamber systems and the funnel neck in an omnidirectional horn speaker of the type mentioned.
- the invention solves this problem by the means characterized in claim 1.
- a standpipe 1 On a standpipe 1, three lower shells 2, 3, 4 and, each below it, three upper shells 5, 6, 7 are arranged.
- the outer shells 2 and 7 form an upper and a lower end of the overall arrangement consisting of three bell-shaped bodies.
- the standpipe 1 is covered at the top with a cap 8.
- the upper shells 5 and 6 and the lower shells 3 and 4 are convex with respect to one another and each form a rotationally symmetrical horn, the cross section of which widens in the radial direction up to a horn mouth indicated by a broken line 9 according to a hyperbolic function and opposes one another radiates down a horizontal plane 10 in the form of a blunt cone, which is generated by rotation of an imaginary center line 11 about a standpipe axis 12.
- An outer edge region 13 of the lower shells 3 and 4 is frustoconical, which results in a deviation from the specific cross-sectional function.
- Regions close to the axis of the lower shells 2, 3 and 4 are pulled upwards and form essentially cylindrical receptacles 14 for the standpipe 1 and at the same time parts of the inner boundaries 15 of the funnel neck 1 6 in the case of the funnel-forming shells 3 and 4.
- Regions close to the axis of the upper shells 5, 6 and optionally 7 are also pulled upwards and likewise form essentially cylindrical receptacles 17 for the standpipe 1.
- a summing piece which consists of six sound channels 19 there is arranged in a crown around the standpipe axis 12 and slightly inclined towards it are arranged so that an inlet opening of the adjoining funnel neck is formed by the jacket of a truncated cone.
- Each sound channel 19 carries at its outer (upper) end of a pressure k ammer system 20, where it has a circular cross-section.
- the lower ends of the six sound channels 19 of a summing piece each have an annular sector-shaped cross section lying between the inner boundary 15 and an outer boundary 18, and together they form an essentially circular opening in which they abut along radial edges 21.
- the shape of the cross section of each sound channel 19 changes continuously from the circular shape at the upper end to the circular ring sector shape at the lower end.
- the total cross-sectional area of all sound channels of a summing piece changes from the funnel neck backwards to the pressure chamber systems in such a way that the specific cross-sectional function of the outer sound funnel formed by the shells is continued.
- the lower shell 4 of the lower horn 4, 6 does not contain any loudspeaker systems on the inside and, depending on its rigidity, it may require support on the standpipe 1.
- a support body inserted into the lower shell 4 can be used with three ribs 22, which are firmly connected on the one hand to a sleeve 23 comprising the standpipe 1 and which, on the other hand, lie against the bell-shaped shell 4 with inclined, curved edges 24, as is the case with this is shown in a partial section at the bottom right in FIG.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 2 eine Unteransicht einer oberen Schale.
