Definitions

  • the invention relates to a microphone holder with a curved part and a carrier carrying the microphone.
  • a bracket of this type is such.
  • B. is known from FR 2 277 357. It is a bracket that can be attached to the arm of the filmmaker with an elastic band and to which a microphone is attached. In order to be able to align the microphone in the vertical direction, a connection rotatable about a horizontal axis between bracket and microphone is provided. An elastic band is attached to the bracket, with which the bracket can be attached to the arm.
  • a simple microphone holder is the clip (spring clip or clamp) with which the microphone can be clamped or clipped onto an object.
  • the microphone is firmly attached to the clip, so that the position of the microphone is determined by the position of the object to which the clip is attached.
  • a good directional effect ie an orientation of the microphone in such a way that its direction of greatest sensitivity is directed towards the sound source has so far been practically impossible to achieve with simple brackets.
  • Such a directional effect is necessary above all for free two-way communication for a feedback-free transmission.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a microphone holder which is as simple and inexpensive to produce as possible, and which makes it possible to direct the microphone direction of greatest sensitivity regardless of the position of the object serving to fasten the holder stanchion to the sound source.
  • the clip microphone 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 has a clip 2 consisting of a U-shaped clip, on the curved part 3 of which a carrier 4 is slidably mounted, in which a directional microphone 5 is held with a clamp fit.
  • the clamping bracket is formed from a strip of elastic material and the carrier 4, which is also made of elastic material, has two jaws 6 which grip around the narrow sides of the strip and are pressed against the narrow sides of the strip due to its elasticity.
  • the direction in which the microphone 5 has its greatest sensitivity runs in the axis 7 of the cylindrical microphone housing.
  • the axis 7 runs parallel to the cheek surfaces 6, so that it runs tangentially to the curvature at the point of the bracket part 3 encompassed by the cheeks 6.
  • the bracket part 3 is curved at least approximately in the form of a circular arc and its curvature diameter is approximately twice as large as the distance between the two bow legs 8, 9, so that the circumference of the bow part 3 is sufficiently large to enable the microphone axis 7 to be set precisely in the direction pointing towards the sound source, namely to push the jaws 6 exactly to the place of the bracket part 3, where the tangent has the desired direction.
  • the width of the stirrup legs 8, 9 is greater than the width of the curved stirrup part 3 and the strip has two recesses 11 at the transition between the curved stirrup part 3 and one leg (lower in the drawing) other leg 8 two recesses may be provided).
  • the jaws 6 can be detached from the clip 2 and reattached to it, so that the microphone 5 can be detached quickly and reattached in the opposite direction, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • locking or clamping means are provided.
  • 3 locking recess pairs 14 are provided on the narrow sides of the bracket part 6 and corresponding locking cam pairs 15 are provided on the jaws 6, which snap into the locking recess pairs 14 and can only be left by overcoming the elasticity of the carrier 4.
  • a clamping screw 17 is arranged on one of the jaws 6.
  • the clip microphone 1 can be used, in particular, for voice transmission in the mobile application area, e.g. B. for a hands-free car phone (hands-free telephone), a mobile radio, etc. can be used.
  • An application is shown in FIG. 6.
  • the clip microphone 1 is attached to the sun visor 19 of a motor vehicle.
  • the clip 2 can be attached depending on where you want to lead the microphone cable, and depending on the position of the sun visor 19, on the left or right side edge or on one of the two longitudinal edges of the sun visor 19, the microphone 5, as above in connection mentioned with the narrow point 12, if necessary rotated by 180 ° can be attached to the clamp.
  • the microphone axis 7 To align the microphone axis 7 with the driver's (or passenger's) mouth, it can be pivoted both in a plane parallel to the sun visor 19 and in a vertical plane. In the parallel plane, the axis 7 is pivoted by rotating the clip 2 on the sun visor 19, the frictional resistance of the bracket legs 8, 9 clamped on the sun visor 19 having to be overcome. In the plane perpendicular thereto, the axis 7 is pivoted by moving the carrier 4 along the curved bracket part, the axis 7 being set parallel to the respective tangential plane at the point of the bracket part 3 encompassed by the jaws 6.
  • the latching cam pairs 15 each snap into the latching recess pairs 14 which follow one another at short intervals, so that the microphone carrier 4 can be secured in any desired position.
  • the jaws 6 of the microphone carrier 4 are pressed by their elasticity against an arcuate bracket 21, along which they can be displaced while overcoming the friction.
  • a recess 22 is provided at one end for attaching the jaws 6 to the bracket 21.
  • the bracket 21 is formed in one piece with a plate 23 which forms one link of a self-locking swivel joint and is rotatably connected by means of a rivet connection 24 to a corresponding plate 25 which forms the other rotating link.
  • the swivel joint is self-locking because the two plates 23, 25 are pressed against one another by the rivet connection 24, that is to say can only be rotated against one another by overcoming the friction of the plate surfaces lying against one another.
  • a plate 27 provided with a Velcro strip 26 is glued to the plate 25.
  • the bracket 20 can be fastened by means of the Velcro tape 26 e.g. attached to the roof lining of an automobile and the microphone 5, as explained in connection with FIG. 6, can be used for a hands-free car phone.
  • the simple swivel 23-25 and the displaceability of the carrier 4 along the bracket 21 make it possible to align the microphone axis exactly on the driver's (or passenger's) mouth. Since both the swivel 23-25 and the displacement of the jaws 6 along the bracket 21 are self-locking, the microphone 5 remains in the set position.
  • a swivel joint that enables a corresponding rotation of the microphone 5 could also be provided on the microphone carrier 4, i.e. the carrier 4 could consist of two rotatable members, one of which carries the microphone 5 and the other of which supports the jaws 6.
  • the bracket 21 is formed in one piece on a plate, on the underside of which a Velcro fastener (surface zip) is fastened, with which the plate is z. B. can be attached to the roof trim of an automobile.
  • a Velcro fastener surface zip
  • FIGS. 7 and 8 the case of reliable locking or locking of the joint in the desired position, which arises after prolonged use, is eliminated.
  • the direction of the microphone can also be adjusted in the sense of the rotation of the swivel joint 23-25, in that the Velcro strip can be detached from the attachment point and reattached after the desired position has been set. (In this respect, the same applies as for the clip microphone of FIG. 1, in which the clip can be rotated while overcoming the frictional resistance of the arm legs 8, 9).
  • the rear end of the microphone housing 5 is attached to a hollow base 30 made of colored acrylic glass.
  • the front part of the base 30 visible in the drawing has a stepped shape, i.e. the shape of several rings, the diameter of which increases towards the center, and projects radially beyond the microphone housing 5.
  • the rear part of the base 30, which is not visible in the drawing, is cylindrical and is seated in the support 4 with a clamp fit.
  • a light (not shown) is arranged in the cavity of the base 30 and illuminates the base from the inside.
  • the lamp can e.g. in the case of an intercom device, can be switched on and off together with the microphone, so that the user can see from the lighting of the base part protruding over the microphone housing that there is willingness to speak.
  • the lamp can also be switched on to recognize the position of the microphone at night.
  • An important advantage of the invention is that the displaceable mounting of the microphone carrier on the curved part of the holder enables the microphone direction to be set precisely without the need for a joint.
  • This solution is structurally simpler than a joint and avoids the problem of locking or snapping into the desired position, which arises especially after prolonged use due to wear.
