Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the technical field of the suspension of curtains, double-curtains, net curtains, intended to extend vertically, with a view to dressing any bay while having a closing capacity, at least partial, with respect to the latter.
  • One of the main solutions consists in implementing a bar or rod on which are threaded open or closed rings attached to the edge or upper edge of a curtain to be hung.
  • the bar or rod can be made of solid wood or metal, as can the closed rings.
  • This solution has another disadvantage due to the fact that it is not easy, nor practical, to add or remove a ring to adapt the suspension of the curtain. In fact, in such a case, it is generally necessary to deposit the suspension assembly in order to release, at least partially, the rings and allow either the removal or the addition of one of them.
  • a third solution is to use a rod, of the railway type, comprising free suspension sliders and generally having an extreme slider attached to an endless cord for moving control.
  • Another solution also consists in making the rail in the form of a profile defining a "L" section opening on one of the faces by the edge of the horizontal branch of the "L” .
  • This technique recommended by application DE 21 03 864 , uses the use of suspension hooks having a bent part for insertion and locking in the section of the profile. This technique is not satisfactory because, such means, do not promote the sliding under load of the bent parts of the hooks and cannot, practically, not be used for sliding curtains.
  • the present invention aims to remedy the drawbacks observed from previous solutions, by proposing a new set of suspension for curtains, which can be easily adapted to the envisaged application, such as the sliding suspension of a light curtain, of a double curtain, a thick double curtain or two double curtains to overlap in the closed position.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a suspension assembly offering great possibilities of adaptation and attachment to a horizontal or vertical surface.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a suspension assembly that completely solves the problems posed by offering the possibility of engaging or extracting the suspension points from the front, without removing the suspended curtain or the fixed assembly.
  • Another objective of the invention is to propose a suspension assembly offering free sliding qualities, regardless of the mass of the hanging curtains.
  • Another objective of the invention is to propose a suspension assembly which makes it possible, if necessary, to produce a suspension by arranging the upper edge of the suspended curtains, in a substantially contiguous manner with respect to a horizontal surface of suspension, such as a ceiling, to completely conceal, in the closed position, the suspension means used.
  • Another objective of the invention is to propose a suspension assembly which can be easily adapted to define several suspension and guide lines for curtains which have to extend in successive parallel planes, as is the case for a curtain and double curtains for example.
  • the suspension assembly according to the invention is characterized in that it is composed: - at least one suspension profile in extruded plastic comprising: . at least one sliding rail of constant circular cross-section provided with end stop fittings, . at least one fixing wing extending laterally from the rail to which it is attached and comprising a longitudinal edge extending beyond the generatrix of the rail pitching a notional plane perpendicular to the plane of the wing, - And suspension members constituted by sliders each forming, on the one hand, an open ring resiliently fitted with the possibility of free sliding on the rail and, on the other hand, a pin-shaped clip open for engagement in the way of a strip attached to a curtain.
  • the suspension assembly for curtains is composed of at least one suspension profile 1 made of extruded plastic and, for example, of polyvinyl chloride.
  • the profile 1 comprises at least one sliding rail 2 , of constant circular cross-section, which is preferably tubular.
  • the ends of the rail 2 are each provided with a removable stopper tip 3 , produced so as to be able to be forced-fitted onto the external peripheral surface of the rail 2 or, if necessary, inside the latter when it is tubular.
  • the rail 2 is associated with at least one fixing wing 4 extending laterally from the rail 2 to which it is attached by forming an integral part with the latter.
  • the fixing wing 4 is preferably attached to the rail 2 by a joining section 5 of curved cross-section and, for example, semi-circular.
  • the junction section 5 is connected substantially tangentially to the peripheral surface exterior of the rail 2 , so that its convex exterior face defines, with the peripheral surface of the rail, a groove 6 whose function appears in the following.
  • the fixing wing 4 has a transverse extent chosen so that its longitudinal edge 7 is placed above a fictitious plane PP ′ which is perpendicular to it and which tangents the external peripheral surface of the rail 2 .
  • the longitudinal edge 7 is extended by a flat area 8 making a given angle with the wing 4 , for example equal to 90 ° and extending opposite the rail 2 .
  • the suspension profile described above can be easily fixed under a horizontal surface 9 , such as a ceiling, by being applied to the latter by the flat surface 8 so as to be fixed there by suitable members 10 .
  • These members 10 may be screws, dowels, or even, in certain cases, a layer of an adhesive product, or even the interposition of self-adhesive strips, such as those known commercially under the brand "VELCRO" .
  • the rail 2 extends, parallel and at a distance from the surface 9 , being separated from the latter by a measurement m equal to the distance separating the longitudinal edge 7 of the plane PP ′ .
  • the measure m is reserved for reasons that emerge from what follows.
  • the suspension assembly is also composed of suspension members 11 made of plastic material which are constituted by sliders each comprising an open ring 12 whose radial thickness is less than the measurement m .
  • the angular opening delimited by the ring 12 is chosen as a function of the elastic characteristics of the constituent material and of the external diameter of the rail 2 , so as to allow an interlocking, by elastic deformation, of the open ring 12 on the rail 2 , in a radial direction relative to the ring 12 .
  • the fitting is carried out so that the angular opening of the ring 12 is oriented substantially in the axis of the junction segment 6 .
  • the internal diameter of the ring 12 is also chosen so that after fitting by elastic deformation, as described above, said ring is free to slide axially with the possibility of angular pivoting over an angular range corresponding to the opening of ring 12 .
  • This possibility of angular pivoting is limited, in the direction of the arrow f1 , by bringing the corresponding transverse edge of the ring 12 into abutment in the bottom of the junction section 5 and, in the direction of the arrow f2 , by the cooperation between the second transverse edge of the ring 12 and the bottom of the groove 6 .
  • Each slider further comprises a clip 13 extending in a radial direction, from the outer periphery of the ring 12 and substantially perpendicular to the radial axis of the angular opening of the ring.
  • the clip 13 forms at least one open pin 14 , the elastically deformable branch of which can be engaged in the loop 15 of a strip 16 attached to a curtain 17 to be hung.
  • the implementation of a suspension assembly according to the invention consists in adapting, on the surface 9 , the profile 1 by fixing by means of the pad 8 .
  • the profile 1 is oriented so as to reserve the measurement m between the profile, the rail 2 and the surface 9 .
  • the different sliders adapted by engagement of the double pin 14 in the strip 16 of the curtain 17 to be suspended, are then presented in a transverse direction facing the rail 2 , so that they can each be fitted elastically by the opening of the ring 12 on the rail.
  • the curtain 17 is suspended with easy opening and closing possibilities, given the free sliding of each ring 12 on the rail 2 .
  • the constituent means of the suspension assembly are compact, have a reduced cost price and can be adapted relatively easily and practically, without special knowledge and without the obligation to use specific tools.
  • suspension assembly resides in the fact that it is possible to easily adapt the number of sliders 11 necessary for the suspension of a curtain 17 , either by reduction or by increase of this number, given it suffices to ensure the disassembly or mounting of a slider relative to the strip 16 and to carry out the extraction or the frontal engagement by elastic deformation of the ring 12 relative to the rail 2 , without having to resort to complete disassembly of the curtain, as is necessary with known traditional solutions for which the extraction or engagement of a suspension member must be done, necessarily, by one end of the rail or the like.
  • the measurement m reserved between the rail 2 and the surface 9 is chosen, by construction, slightly greater than the radial thickness of the ring 12 , so as to allow the latter to slide freely on the rail 2 , without risk of friction against the surface 9 .
  • M this measurement is relatively small and allows to bring the web 16 on the curtain 17 so as to leave a vertical extension 17a covering vertically extending until a short distance from the surface 9 to mask the rail 2 .
  • the measurement m also makes it possible to fit or disengage by elastic deformation of the ring 12 when it is necessary to reduce or increase the number of suspension points of the curtain 17 .
  • the means according to the invention allow to place the extension 17 is substantially in the curtain suspension plane. This is due to the choice of a ring radius 12 substantially equal to the width of the pin 14 . This results in an improved aesthetic appearance.
  • Fig. 3 illustrates a characteristic arrangement, from suspension assemblies according to the invention.
  • two suspension profiles 1 a and 1 b as described above are joined by a common fixing bar 18 which is, for example, constituted by a thin slat on which the wings 8 a and 8 b are fixed.
  • the sections 1 a and 1 b then extend parallel to each other along the two longitudinal edges of the slat 18 while being oriented opposite one another.
  • the width of the slat 18 is determined as a function of the pleating thickness of the curtains, so as to allow their free covering without friction. In certain cases, this characteristic assembly can be retained for the establishment of a curtain and a double curtain.
  • Fig. 4 illustrates an alternative embodiment in which the profile 11 is produced by extrusion to comprise two parallel rails 2 , associated with two wings 4 which are joined together by a common area 81 .
  • the rails 2 and the wings 4 can be arranged in the same orientation relative to a median plane xx ′ or, on the contrary, be arranged symmetrically with respect to such a plane.
  • Fig. 5 illustrates an alternative embodiment in which the profile 1 comprises a rail 2 associated, by a junction zone 5 , with a fixing wing 4 devoid of the pad 8 .
  • the wing 4 is used as a fixing zone to be adapted by means, such as 10 , on a vertical support surface 19 .
  • This variant embodiment is particularly suitable for hanging curtains on movable panels, such as doors, windows, of various premises, or even of motor vehicles.
  • the curtain launcher 20 comprises a rod 21 , one of the ends of which is fitted into the end piece 22 of a slider 23 forming an open ring 12 .
  • a slider 23 can thus be freely fitted onto a rail 2 by deformation elastic of its ring 12 to be placed between two sliders 11 the suspension of the curtain 17 .
  • the rod 21 can thus be used to control the sliding of the curtain 17 in opening or closing, being adapted, exactly, to the best convenience of the user, depending on the length or the mass of curtain to be deployed or folded.
