Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for releasing and receiving transport trolleys equipped with a coupling part, in particular shopping or luggage trolleys, in which the transport trolleys are removed from the fixed installation designed as a collection point and returned to the latter after use in return for payment of a coin deposit are, after the return operation of a transport vehicle, the previously paid coin deposit contained in the coupling part of the returned transport vehicle is refunded.

Devices of this type (cf. DE-A1-2900367 or EP-A2-0070997) are preferably used in self-service shops, but also at train stations and airfields. By paying a coin deposit when a trolley is removed, the aim is to bring the trolley back to the collection point after use. For this purpose, these transport trolleys have coupling parts which have a device for receiving and returning a coin which serves as a deposit is coupled.

As a disadvantage of all previously known solutions, it must be mentioned that the device provided for issuing the coin deposit paid is arranged completely on each coupling part. This makes the coupling parts more expensive. In addition, in some known solutions, it is possible to couple transport trolleys with one another far from the collection point and thereby to keep the coin deposit.

This destroys the intended effect of always being able to keep unused transport trolleys at a collection point.

It is therefore the object of the invention to provide a method and a device of the type mentioned at the outset, which largely guarantees the coupling of the unused transport vehicles to a collection point while at the same time reducing the manufacturing costs of the required coupling parts.

The set goal is achieved according to the invention in that a central key is kept ready at the collection point, with the aid of which the coupling part of each returned trolley can be activated to give out the coin deposit.

Furthermore, to achieve this goal, the central key is arranged so that it can be moved on or near the holding stand and cannot be lost.

The advantage of the invention is that the trolleys must always be returned to the collection point if you want to get the coin deposit. A "wild" coupling of trolleys to one another far from the collection point is not possible. Furthermore, one saves a complex coin dispenser on the coupling parts in that one and the same key fits all coupling parts. Where previously a key or a similar device with the same function as the key was provided on each coupling part, this is now reduced to a single one. This enables the coupling parts to be manufactured more cheaply.

The method and the new device 1 are explained in more detail with reference to a drawing. You can see in the drawing a stack of nested trolleys 2, 2 ', 2˝; in the example, they are shopping carts. It could also mean the well-known luggage trolleys, The foremost transport trolley 2 'in the direction of travel is detachably coupled to a bow-shaped support stand 7. At the foremost trolley 2 'against the direction of push other trolleys 2, 2˝ are releasably coupled in a row. In order to make this type of coupling possible, each transport trolley 2, 2 ', 2˝, for example near its grip area 3, has a coupling part 4 which, in a known manner, connects a transport trolley 2, 2˝ with a respective transport trolley 2, 2' or with the support stand 7. The coupling parts 4 have a device 5 for receiving and returning a coin. If you insert a coin into the coupling part 4 of the rearmost transport carriage 2˝, its coupling part 4 is influenced in a known manner in such a way that its locking with the transport carriage 2 or 2 in front of it is released. The rearmost trolley 2˝ can thus be found in the stack. It is available to the user. In this state, the coin remains in the coupling part 4. It cannot be removed from it manually. This is also known and therefore needs no further explanation. The user brings the trolley 2, 2˝ back to the collection point 6, he pushes it back into the stack of other trolleys 2, 2 '. Depending on the design of the coupling part 4, it is now possible to lock the trolley 2 or 2˝ inserted into the stack even before the previously paid coin is refunded or during the coin refund process. This decision is left to the manufacturer of the coupling parts 4. What is new is that the repayment process can only be carried out by means of a central key 17, which is held captive at the collection point 6, but is fastened movably. Through appropriate contact of the central key 17 with the coupling part 4 of the inserted trolley 2, 2 ', 2˝ this is caused to surrender the coin, for example by the central key 17 releasing a lock located in the coupling part 4 in a purely mechanical manner, which previously held the coin and now releases it. The support stand 7 consists in the example of a U-shaped bracket 8, the legs 9 are attached to the floor. At the cross connection 10 of the bracket 8, a further bracket 11 is provided, which is coupled to the coupling part 4 of the foremost transport carriage 2 'in any known manner. An upward post 12 is provided on the side of the bracket 8 and carries a horizontal support part 14, for example in the form of a tube or wire rope, which leads to a further post 13 which is fastened to the floor. Both posts 12, 13 can be connected to a strut 18 near the ground. On the support part 14, for example made from a round tube, a sliding piece 15 is mounted, which can be pushed back and forth on the support part 14. An expediently sprung cord 16 leads down from the slider 15, at the end of which the central key 17 is captively attached at gripping height. With this arrangement, the central key 17 can move between the two posts 12, 13 to each trolley 2, 2 ', 2˝. It is useful to train the cord 16 only so long that each trolley 2, 2 ', 2˝, if you want to effect the issue of the coin, must be brought very close to the strut 18. This will ensure that the returned trolleys 2, 2 ', 2˝ form a straight stack.

The two posts 12, 13 do not necessarily have to be attached to the floor. It is conceivable to lower the two posts 12, 13 from the ceiling in a shop. Likewise, the connection of the post 12 to the support stand 7 is not absolutely necessary. However, the support stand 7, the two posts 12, 13, the support member 14, if necessary, the strut 18, and the central key 17 with cord 16 and slider 15, the collection point 6, to which the trolley 2, 2 ', 2˝ returned and can be removed from there. A collection point 6 can also include several posts 12, 13 with support members 14 and central keys 17 set up in alignment, depending on how long the stack of trolleys 2, 2 ', 2˝ should be at a maximum. Expediently, several collection points 6 can also be arranged next to one another, for example to accommodate a large number of trolleys 2, 2 ', 2˝ centrally.
