Description

The invention relates to a device for taking over and further transporting folded products from a folding device by means of a revolving endless transport device according to the preamble of claim 1.

From EP 01 70 179 a device of the type described above is known, with which folded products can be removed directly from a folder and fed to further processing units or a delivery at a slower speed. In this device it is important that the drivers taking over the folded products are inserted behind the folded back before the two halves of the folded products close completely. This means that without the use of an opening cylinder in the subsequent processing phase e.g. Folded products are collected or inserted into these inserts. It is known to transfer folded products from cylinder to cylinder using grippers. It is also used in sheet machines, e.g. from DE 24 36 998 A1, known to guide sheets on a convex path in grippers to the boom.

The object of the invention is to show a device of the type mentioned at the beginning, with which folded products can be taken over directly from the folder and slowed down, but in which the takeover of the folded products is possible after the fold formation has been completed. This object is achieved by applying the features of the characterizing part of patent claim 1. Further developments of the invention result from the subclaims and from the description in conjunction with the drawings.

In diesen zeigen:

  • Fig. 2 einen vergrößerten Ausschnitt der Falzproduktübergabestelle,
  • Fig.3 einen Greiferarm in Seitenansicht und
  • Fig.4 einen Schnitt entlang der Linie I-I der Fig.2.
In these show:
  • 1 is a schematic representation of the device according to the invention for the transfer and further transport of folded products,
  • 2 shows an enlarged section of the folded product transfer point,
  • 3 shows a gripper arm in side view
  • 4 shows a section along the line II of FIG.

According to FIG. 1, sheets coming from a collecting cylinder (1) and folded on a folding jaw cylinder (2) are folded products (3) after their release from the folding jaws (4) between two fixed derivations (5, 6) to a folding product transfer point (7) guided. At the folded product transfer point (7) leads a continuous endless transport device (8), preferably in the form of a chain (10), in such a way that the gripper arms (9) arranged on it at a predetermined distance and acting as folded product drivers, the are attached to a transport chain (10), by converting from a linear movement into a circular movement at the folded product transfer point (7), or assume an increased speed even before that. At the outwardly facing ends of the gripper arms (9) grippers (11) are arranged which have an angled gripper support (11 a) rigidly connected to the gripper arm (9), through which a gripper tongue (11 b) is guided. Of course, several such gripper arms (9) or grippers (11) can be arranged side by side according to the width of the folded products (3) to be taken over.

So that the folding products (3) released by the folding flaps (4) can each be inserted into the open gripper (11) at the handling product transfer point (7), the speed of the folding products (3) must be somewhat higher than that, based on the linear speed, already at the folded product transfer point (7) increased speed of the gripper (11). After taking over a folded product (3), the grippers (11) are closed again and guided along the fixed derivations (5, 6). The folded product (3) is pushed behind the preferably somewhat shorter deflection tongue (6) due to the centrifugal force, so that subsequently, i.e. after passing through the approximately circular path, shingling of the folded products (3) can already take place. the transport chain (10) is deflected in the area of the folded product transfer point (7) via the chain wheel (26).

The running-in of a folded product (3) into the opened grippers (11) can best be seen in FIG. 2. The feed process of the folded products (3) between the gripper pad (11 a) and the gripper tongue (11 b) is supported by a transport roller (19). The individual angular positions of a gripper arm (9) are designated in FIGS. 1 and 2 by the reference numerals (9 ', 9 ", 9). From FIGS. 1 and 2 it can be seen that in position (9") that which is to be taken over Folded product (3) begins to run into the open gripper (11) so that the gripper (11) can be closed shortly thereafter. Before each gripper arm (9) reaches the position (9 "), the gripper tongue (11b) is respectively countered by the pressure of one or two springs (21) by means of a correspondingly shaped curved piece (18) for the purpose of opening the gripper (11) The takeover of a folded product (3) is closed again in a timely manner by appropriate shaping and positioning of the curved piece (18) of the gripper (11), so that the folded product (3) between the gripper support (11a) and the gripper tongue (11 b) is clamped and can be continued safely.

Just like the curve piece (18), a further curve piece (17) in the area of a folding product delivery point, for example on a sheet stack 27, serves for the timely opening of the grippers (11) so that the folding products (3), which are now slowed down, are guided via a guide piece (12). can be placed exactly one above the other at a stop (13). However, it is also possible to feed the folded products (3) carried by the grippers (3) to a correspondingly lengthened transport chain or a further transport system (14) or to have them transported further by them.

Fig. 2 shows an enlarged section of the folded product transfer point, from which it can be seen that the grippers (11) opened shortly before the jaw cylinder periphery reached through the cam piece (18) via a plunger (20) against the pressure of the springs (21) and after Takeover of a folded product (3) can be closed again, after which the braking process of the folded products takes place with closed grippers (11).

The basic structure of the transport chain (10) corresponds to that of a conventional roller chain with a normal division. For reasons of structural stability, it is advantageous to provide double support or guidance of the grippers (11) or of the gripper support (11 a) and the gripper tongue (11 b). In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the parts described below are therefore designated with the letters a and b respectively for the left and right sides. The transport chain (10) accordingly comprises rollers (28) and corresponding plates or links (29). In the area of each gripper arm (9), the outer chain links are designed as arms. The elongated bolts (25) of the transport chain (10) carry additional guide rollers (24), which support the transport chain (10) against centrifugal and control forces when running onto the curve piece (18) from the inside.

The control movement is transmitted via plunger (20) against the force of the compression springs (21) to the gripper tongue (11 b), the plunger (20) running in guides (22 and 23). As already mentioned, the gripper support (11a) is rigid and is firmly connected to the gripper arms (9). The compression springs (21) thus have the effect that the gripper tongues (11b) are firmly closed before and after the curve pieces (17 or 18) overflow, so that the folded products (3) are guided securely.
