Bei Papier- oder Folienschlauchmaschinen ist es üblich, die Vorzugseinheit entsprechend der gerad­linien Führung des Papier- oder Folienschlauchs gerad­linig auszubilden, d. h. die an der Warenbahn angreifen­den Transportelemente im wesentlichen in einer gerad­linigen Ebene anzuordnen. Eine solche Anordnung hat zur Folge, daß vergleichsweise hohe Anpreßkräfte über die Vorzugsorgane aufgebracht werden müssen. Bereits durch die bogenförmige Umleitung des an­kommenden Schlauchs und das Straffhalten der zulaufenden Warenbahn durch Bahnspannungskontrollen wird eine sehr gute Friktion zwischen dem bogenförmig umgeleiteten Schlauch und den Gegendruckorganen sichergestellt. Dies hat zur Folge, daß mit der erfindungsgemäßen Vorzugs­einheit auch besonders empfindliche Materialsorten, wie beispielsweise stark dehnbare Papiere, einwand­frei verarbeitet werden können.
