Abstract

A short inking unit for an offset rotary printing machine utilizes a heated ink transport cylinder having a particular surface with varying degrees of hydrophilicity, and an array of air blowing nozzles which cooperate to reduce or virtually eliminate contamination of the offset printing ink supply source with dampening fluid. Printing quality is improved since ink viscosity does not change and dampening fluid useage is kept at a minimum.

Auch ist es leicht möglich, den Feuchtwasserverbrauch im Farbwerk gering zu halten.

Ein in sich bekanntes Kammerrakel 4 dient zur Farbzufuhr auf einen gerasterten, harten Farb­transportzylinder 6 (Anilox-Typ). Mittels zweier gummibe­zogenener Farbauftragswalzen 7, 8 gelangt die normale Offsetdruckfarbe von dem gerasterten, verchromten Farbtrans­portzylinder 6 auf die Offsetdruckplatte 3. Der gerasterte Farbtransportzylinder 6 ist dauernd auf ca. 40 - 60° geregelt aufgeheizt. Der Offsetplattenzylinder 1 wird auf eine Temperatur wahlweise zwischen 20 und 25° gebracht und geregelt gehalten. Einrichtungen zum Erwärmen bzw.
