Ein gattungsbildendes Filmfarbwerk ist aus der DE-PS 29 42 734 bekannt. Es weist eine Vorrichtung für den Rücktransport von Farbe und Farb-Wasser-Gemisch auf, die aus einem käfigartigen Behälter mit einer Anzahl Rollenelementen besteht, die darin in gegenseitiger Berührung stehen, örtlich nicht fixiert gelagert drehbar sind und einen kreisförmigen Querschnitt aufweisen. Mindestens eines dieser Rollenelemente
ist an einer Seite des Behälters durch die Farbkastenwalze und mindestens ein zweites Rollenelement ist an der anderen Seite des Behälters durch eine schnellaufende nachfolgende Walze in Drehung versetzbar. Eine solche Vorrichtung dient zur kontinuierlichen Rückführung des Farbe-Wasser-Gemisches aus dem Farbwerk in den Farbkasten. Es kann aber nicht ausgeschlossen werden, daß die Rollenelemente Farbe von der Farbkastenwalze über die Filmwalze in das Farbwerk tragen. Die in einer größeren Stückzahl lose in dem Gehäuse umlaufenden Rollenelemente stellen einen erheblichen Aufwand dar, der außerdem mit einer zusätzlichen Geräuschentwicklung verbunden ist. Durch die zusätzlichen Walzen mit der zugeordneten Rakel wird der von der Filmwalze aufgenommene Farbfilm vor der ersten Berührung mit einer in das Farbwerk weiterführenden Farbwalze gespalten. Durch die kontinuierliche, vollständige Abrakelung des von dieser zusätzlichen Walze abgegebenen Farbfilms wird der überwiegende Teil der von der Filmwalze übernommenen Farbe in das Farbwerk zurückgeführt. Hierdurch erfolgt ein stetiger Austausch der im Farbwerk befindlichen Farbe. Gleichzeitig kann sich im Farbwerk keine übersättigte Emulsion bilden, wie sie unter Umständen auch bei Heberfarbwerken auftritt, wenn zum Beispiel einseitig kein Farbverbrauch gegeben ist und sogenannte "tote Farbe", das heißt, übersättigte Emulsion, entsteht, die sich nicht mehr rückspalten läßt. Die mit der Farbe in den Farbkasten gelangende Feuchtmittelmenge entspricht etwa der gleichen Menge, wie sie bei Heberfarbwerken in den Farbkasten gelangt. Durch größere Zonenöffnungen können Schmutzpartikel leichter aus dem Farbkasten gelangen. Die im Farbkasten 1 angeordnet Farbkastenwalze 2 ist mit einer zonenweise regulierbaren Dosiervorrichtung ausgestattet, wie sie an sich bekannt ist und demzufolge auf der Zeichnung nicht näher dargestellt wurde. Ein teil des von der Filmwalze 3 aufgenommenen Farbfilms wird über die Farbwerkswalze 5 und weitere Farbwerkswalzen in das Farbwerk getragen und schließlich von der Auftragswalze 6 an den Plattenzylinder 7 übergeben, durch den der Gummituchzylinder 8 eingefärbt wird. Vor der ersten Berührung mit der die Farbe in das Farbwerk weiterführenden Farbwalze 5 gelangt die Filmwalze 3 in Kontakt mit der zusätzlich angeordneten Zwischenwalze 9, die mit einer Rakelwalze 10, welche vorzugsweise eine harte Mantelfläche aufweist, und mit einer an dieser anliegenden Rakel 11 zusammenwirkt.The
