Definitions

  • the invention relates to a radiant heating device for hot plates, in which three heating coils are laid on an insulating body, which can be switched individually or in groups, and in which the outer circles surrounding the circumference of the heating coils lie one inside the other.
  • Such a radiant heating device is described in DE-A1-33 15 438. If only one heating coil is switched on in such a radiant heating device, then the hotplate, in particular the glass ceramic hotplate, is only insufficiently heated via the other two heating coils. There is an uneven heat distribution on the hotplate.
  • a radiant heating device according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from DE-A1-32 34 349.
  • the object of the invention is to achieve as uniform a heating as possible over the surface in such a radiant heating device, even if only one of the heating coils is switched on, and to provide a simple connection option for the heating coils.
  • Each heating coil has, on the one hand, sections lying on its outer circle, that is to say far outside, and, on the other hand, sections projecting from these inwards towards the center of the surface of the insulating body. If only one of the heating coils is switched on, there is still a very wide ring zone in which the hotplate is heated. The ring zones in which the heating coils run are not adjacent to one another, but rather overlap. This results in a fairly uniform heating of the hotplate for the possible switchable heating output levels.
  • connection points are located far outside on the insulating body. They are not covered by sections of other heating coils so that connections and heating coils would have to cross. The connection points can thus be easily contacted on the surface of the insulating body.
  • a radiant heating device has a circular or oval insulating body 1.
  • the insulating body 1 is provided with a raised ring edge 2.
  • Channels 3 for receiving three heating coils 4, 5 and 6 run inside the ring edge 2.
  • a controller 7 is arranged outside the ring edge 2, the temperature sensor of which is designated by 8.
  • the three heating coils 4, 5 and 6 can be switched electrically in a seven-cycle circuit.
  • the outer heating coil 4 is enclosed by an outer circle A.
  • the central heating coil 5 is enclosed by an outer circle B.
  • the inner heating coil 6 is enclosed by an outer circle C.
  • the outer heating coil 4 has sections 9 which run at the outer circle A. From these sections 9, sections 10 project inwards towards the center of the surface of the insulating body 1 up to an inner circle a.
  • the central heating coil 5 has sections 11 which run at the outer circle B. Between sections 11, sections 12 extend inwards to an inner circle b.
  • the inner heating coil 6 has sections 13 which run at the outer circle C. Between sections 13, sections 14 project inwards up to an inner circle c.
  • the inwardly projecting sections 10, 12 and 14 interlock. Their shape is V-shaped (see FIGS. 1 and 2) or U-shaped (see sections 10 in FIG. 2).
  • the circles A, B, C, a, b, c are concentric.
  • the heating coil 4 has two spaced connection points 15 in the area of its outer circle A.
  • the heating coil 5 has connection points 16 in the region of its outer circle B.
  • the heating coil 6 is provided in the area of its outer circle C with connection points 17.
  • the connection points 16 lie between the connection points 15.
  • the connection points 17 lie between the connection points 16. All connection points 15, 16, 17 are therefore close to the ring edge 2 and are not connected to it by one of the sections mentioned, so that the connections are easy and without Intersections or relocations within the insulating body 1, can be performed on a terminal block 18 to the outside. Since the connection points are close to each other, individual connection points, depending on the circuit provided, can also be easily connected directly to one another.
  • Each heating coil 4, 5 and 6 runs between their connection points 15, 16 and 17, respectively. It therefore extends only in one position on the insulating body 1.
  • the heating coil 4 develops its heating effect in the ring zone Aa.
  • the heating coil 5 acts in the ring zone Bb.
  • the heating coil 6 is effective in the ring zone Cc and also radiates into the interior of the circle c.
  • the heating coil 6 is therefore not in a channel in the area of the inner circle c.
  • the ring zones Aa, Bb, Cc overlap (see FIG. 2). Since the ring zones Aa and Cc also overlap, there is a ring zone Ca in which sections of all three heating coils lie. This ensures that the ring zone Ca and a subsequent area are heated, regardless of which of the heating coils 4, 5 or 6 is switched on. Overheating of the ring zone Ca does not take place, since the relevant sections also lie next to one another in the ring zone Ca.
  • the outer heating coil 4 and the inner heating coil 6 are laid slightly differently than in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1.
  • the sections 10 are V-shaped, whereas in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 they are U-shaped .
  • the inner heating coil 6 is laid more pointedly in its inner circle c than in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG.
  • the channels 3 are designed so that heating coils can be inserted in different ways. Accordingly, unnecessary duct parts remain free. Such channel parts are designated by 19 in FIG. 1 and by 20 in FIG.
  • the arrangement of the heating coils depends on the desired heating output. Correspondingly different insulating bodies do not have to be provided for the different heating outputs.
