Abstract

1. A radiant heating device for hot-plates wherein three heating coils (4, 5, 6), which can be controlled individually or in groups, are laid in concentric annular regions (A-a, B-b, C-c) on an insulating member (1), and wherein the outer circles (A, B, C) of each annular region (A-a, B-b, C-c) surrounding the circumference of the heating coils (4, 5, 6) lie one inside the other, while the connections (16, 17) of the heating coils (5, 6) having the smaller outer circles (B, C) lie side by side between the two connections (15) of the heating coil (4) having the largest outer circle (A), characterized in that each heating coil (4, 5, 6) comprises a plurality of portions (10, 12, 14) which projects inwards towards the middle from its outer circle (A, B, C) and are connected to portions (9, 11, 13) of the respective heating coils (4, 5, 6) lying on the respective outer circles (A, B, C), that the in wardly projecting portions (10, 12, 14) of the heating coils (4, 5, 6) engage inside one another, and that the three annular regions (A-a, B-b, C-c) occupied by the heating coils (4, 5, 6) overlap, the annular region (A-a) occupied by the outer heating coils (4) and the annular region (C-c) occupied by the inner heating coil (6) also overlapping.
