Definitions

  • the invention relates to a conductor connection with a busbar provided with a back bend at at least one end and at least one clamping body which can be pushed onto the back bend from the middle busbar region and is provided with a clamping member for connecting an electrical conductor.
  • Such a conductor connection as it is particularly interesting for high-current terminals, is known from DE-A-34 08 006.
  • thick-wired conductors often have to be connected, so that it is essential to be able to lay the conductor freely on the conductor rail and only then to be able to push the clamp body over the conductor rail and the conductor.
  • the present invention is therefore based on the object of creating a conductor connection of the generic type which offers a simple, reliable guiding possibility for the clamping body or bodies and at the same time also provides protection against contact.
  • the solution according to the invention consists in an insulating material housing which receives the busbar and which is open at the top and has guide grooves running in the longitudinal direction of the current rail, guide lugs being provided on the side of the clamping body, which can be inserted into the guide grooves of the insulating material housing in the central busbar region.
  • the insulating plastic housing which is open at the top, offers good protection against contact for the area of the busbar and the clamping body and, thanks to the guide grooves running in the longitudinal direction of the busbar, offers the possibility of a precise guidance of the clamping body or bodies, in each case from the middle busbar area, to the clamping point, i.e. H. to the back bend or bends and the electrical conductor to be connected, which is initially placed there freely and without being affected by the clamping body.
  • the defined mounting of the busbar in the insulating material housing on the one hand and the defined holding and guiding of the clamping element (s) on the other hand eliminate any further measures for the targeted guidance of the clamping element to the clamping point.
  • Such an insulating material housing is also a very simple part to manufacture, since its longitudinal extension, including the guide grooves, is aligned in parallel with the busbar.
  • the insulating material part can even be a simple extruder profile, in particular if, according to a preferred embodiment, the guide lugs on the clamping body are designed to be elastically deformable, so that they can be snap-fitted into the guide grooves in the middle of the busbar area. Otherwise, as provided according to a further embodiment, an insertion groove for the guide lugs opening into the guide grooves from above would be provided in the middle region in the insulating material housing on both sides.
  • a cover which can be placed on and which completes the protection against contact is assigned to the insulating material housing.
  • the insulating material housing can also be provided with a latching foot for snapping onto standard day rails.
  • the insulating housing is also expediently provided with laterally flat surfaces, so that a plurality of insulating housings of this type can be strung together.
  • a baying zone widened relative to the upper area is formed on both sides of the insulating material housing in the lower area. This creates a space in the upper area between two adjacent, insulated housing, with the help of which the cover can easily be placed on the insulating housing after the connections have been made.
  • the conductor connection includes a busbar 1, which is provided at both ends with a bending 2, parallel to itself.
  • the conductor connection also includes a cross-sectionally U-shaped insulating material housing 3, in the bottom of which rich a receiving groove 4 is provided for the busbar 1.
  • the length of the insulating housing 3 is oriented according to the longitudinal extent of the busbar 1 and is kept open at the top.
  • the insulating material housing 3 has a locking foot 5 on the underside for snapping the insulating material housing 3 onto a standard mounting rail 6 (see FIG. 2).
  • the insulating material housing 3 is provided with a continuous guide groove 7 in the area of both inner walls.
  • the conductor connection further includes at least one clamping body 8, which is formed in the illustrated embodiment by a U-shaped pressure bracket 9, which is connected in its upper region to a nut piece 10, into which a clamping screw 11 is screwed as a clamping member.
  • the nut piece 10 is expediently in arranged upward open notches 12 of the U-shaped pressure bracket and has on both sides outwardly above the U-shaped pressure bracket 10 protruding guide lugs 13 with which the clamping body 8 is precisely slidably guided back and forth in the guide grooves 7 of the insulating material housing 3.
  • two-sided insertion grooves 14 opening into the guide grooves 7 from above are provided in this middle region.
  • the guide lugs 13 themselves sufficiently elastically deformable, possibly with a certain elasticity of the upstanding side walls of the insulating material housing itself, that the guide lugs 13 can be inserted into the middle region of the insulating material housing even without the aid of insertion grooves 14 Guide grooves 7 can press.
  • the insulating material housing 3 can be produced in a particularly simple manner as an extruder profile.
  • An additional upper cover 15 is expediently assigned to the insulating material housing 3, which has lateral latching feet 16, for which longitudinal grooves 17 running continuously through the outside of the insulating material housing 3 are provided.
  • the cover 15 in turn can be provided with receptacles 18 for attaching label holders 19.
  • a conductor connection is made by means of a clamping body 8 only at one end of the busbar 1 on the back bend 2 located there.
  • a cable lug for example, located at the end of a conductor to be connected there can then simply be placed on the other busbar end or the back bend located there, which is then fixed there by means of a screw.
  • the back bends 2 have additional threaded holes 20 in order to be able to screw a cable lug onto them.
  • the insulating material housings 3 are flat on the sides in order to ensure that they can be aligned with one another, as illustrated in FIG. 1.
  • a baying zone 21 widened relative to the upper area is expediently formed on the outside of the insulating material housings 3 at the lower area thereof.
  • a free zone is formed between two insulating material housings in their upper region, which ensures that the cover 15 can be put on and removed again without any problems even after the arrangement has been carried out.
  • Such a conductor connection is also extremely flexible due to the design described above, in that the manufacturer can provide the user with the busbars with the insulating housing on the one hand and the clamping bodies on the other hand and finally also the covers as modules of a kit. The user can then carry out the assembly with just one or two clamping bodies.
