Claims (20)

  1. Hair roller (1) consisting of a cylindrical roller body (2), which is to be turned into the hair, of variable body circumference and of actuating means (3) for varying the body circumference as well as of a tension band (4) reaching at least from one (5) longitudinal end of the roller body (2) to the other (6), characterised thereby, that the roller body (2) consists of a plurality of rod laminae (8), which are parallel one to the other and to the longitudinal roller axis (7), and the actuating means (3) consist of a rod-shaped plunger (3), which is arranged in the longitudinal roller axis (7) with at least one cross-sectional enlargement (13; 30, 30a, 30b, 36; 44; 50; 59) and a profiling (14, 15, 16; 31, 31a, 31b, 32, 37; 46; 51 56), which is formed at the laminae (8) and to be brought into detent setting in engagement with the or each enlargement.
  2. Hair roller according to claim 1, characterised thereby, that the rod laminae (8) are shaped by one of their longitudinal ends onto a longitudinal end (5) of the plunger (3) each by way of at least one respective film hinge (53) and that the opposite longitudinal ends of the rod laminae (8) display means (57) for detenting in a position at the circumference of the plunger (3).
  3. Hair roller according to claim 1 or 2, characterised thereby, that the rod laminae (8) in the relieved position formed during the manufacture, in particular by injection-moulding, are pivoted about 180° away from the detented position into a direction likewise extending about parallelly to the longitudinal roller axis (7) and there lie approximately on a common cylindrical surface.
  4. Hair roller according to claim 1 or 2, characterised thereby, that the rod laminae (8) in the relieved position of the film hinge (53) connecting them with the plunger (3) stand about perpendicularly and radially with respect to the plunger (3).
  5. Hair roller according to claim 1 or 2, characterised thereby, that the plunger (3) is connected with a substantially circular disc (54), at the circumference of which the rod laminae (8) are shaped on by one longitudinal end by way of film hinges (53) by way of a fitting part (68) constructed as plug coupling.
  6. Hair roller according to one of the claims 3 to 5, characterised thereby, that those rows of the rod laminae (8), which are remote from the film hinge, are equipped at the circumferential edges facing the respectively neighbouring lamina with detent dogs and detent grooves (57), which enable a mutual fixing of the free ends on a ring.
  7. Hair roller according to one of the claims 3 to 5, characterised thereby, that a detent head (63) with detent holes (62) for the snapping-in of detent dogs (61) provided at the free ends of the rod laminae (8) is to be placed onto that free longitudinal plunger end (6), which is opposite the longitudinal plunger end (5) connected with the rod laminae (8) by way of film hinges (53).
  8. Hair roller according to one of the claims 3 to 5, characterised thereby, that the free plunger end, which is associated with the free end of the rod laminae (8), is equipped as coupling member (69) with detent holes for the snapping-in of detent dogs (70) provided at the free ends of the rod laminae (8).
  9. Hair roller according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that cone members (56), which together span at least one internal cone, are provided on the inward surface of the rod laminae (8).
  10. Hair roller according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that the rod laminae (8) are coupled at their longitudinal ends one with the other or with the plunger (3) each time by way of two film hinges (53, 58) and that the roller circumference is adjustable through longitudinal displacement of the plunger (3) relative to the internal cone.
  11. Hair roller according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that the roller body (2) consists of a frame, which is to be expanded or contracted mechanically in radial direction, with an elastic skin (9), in particular of synthetic material or rubber.
  12. Hair roller according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that a bead (13), which is arranged about symmetrically to the centre line (7) of the roller body (2), is disposed on the plunger (3), that the inward roller body surface is constructed in portions as internal cone (14) with detent surfaces (15, 16) adjoining both ends for the bead (13) and that the roller body (2) is splayed in the case of arrangement of the bend (13) on the surface (16) of the smaller internal diameter as well as shrunk in the case of arrangement of the bead (13) on the surface (15) of the greater internal diameter.
  13. Hair roller according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that the plunger (3) comprises a respective actuating knob (11, 12, 64) at each of both its longitudinal ends.
  14. Hair roller according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that the plunger (3) displays at least one cone or double cone (30) arranged symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal roller axis (7).
  15. Hair roller according to claim 14, characterised thereby, that the inward roller body surface (21), which adjoins the respective plunger cone (30) and in the same direction as this, is constructed conically (31) at least in individual laminae.
  16. Hair roller according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that the plunger (3) is rotatable about its longitudinal axis (7) and at least in portions has a cross-section (44) in the shape of a dog star and that counterdogs (46) on the inward surface (21) of the roller body (2) are associated with the dogs (45) of the plunger (3).
  17. Hair roller according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that the plunger (3) at its one longitudinal end (17) - in particular without actuating knob - is connected, preferably integrally with a tension band (4).
  18. Hair roller according to claim 17, characterised thereby, that the tension band (4) is placed firmly on the longitudinal plunger end (17) to be drawn during the splaying of the roller body (2).
  19. Hair roller according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that the plunger (3) is surrounded by an elastically mounted ring (36) and that the ring engages into an annular groove (37) of the inward surface (21) of the roller body (2).
  20. Hair roller according to claim 19, characterised thereby, that the annular groove (37) is deeper in radial direction than the greatest envisaged change in diameter of the roller body (2).
