Abstract

The apparatus is used to remove fibrous, mossy, cork-containing, sticky organic residues and natural mosses adhering to the surface soil or to any flat soil surface or to walls, which surfaces are in need of treatment. The invention consists of a manual tool utilizing a flexible straight blade (1) or a curved blade or a broom or scraper, mounted so as to be mobile or immobile on an angular support (18) connected with a handle (2) ending in a hand grip in the form of a T (3), together with a system to control the flow of liquids by pinching a flexible tube (4), connected at one end with a container (5) for liquids, and at the other with a liquid spreading ramp (6) situated behind the blade (1) or broom or scraper. Two rollers (27) or a runner (28) may be arranged under the handle so as to facilitate the tool's displacement. If a broom is used, lateral rollers may be mounted at mid-level to the tickness of the broom or on springs in order to avoid crushing the bristles, to maintain the efficiency of the kneading and scraping ations and to facilitate movement. Likewise, when the blade, the scraper or the broom is removed from the apparatus, the latter can be used to spread liquids. A rotary mechanical alternative embodiment is also disclosed.

Description

The invention relates to a versatile device which can be used for pickling, by associated chemical and mechanical actions, residues in particular fibrous-foam-cork-glue-heavy deposits-sludge ... fixed to the soil; in the industrial field: cleaning and stripping of floors, on which heavy deposits and various residues are accumulated, examples: for garages, factories, grease and sludge ...; for the maintenance of building exteriors: elimination of foam on sports tracks, tennis courts with synthetic surfaces, etc.

The present invention consists in using a manual or mechanized tool, cutting edge scraping or rubbing the principle of which, in a reciprocating or rotational movement possibly supported by wheels, is to have in this case a chemical action and a associated mechanical action, intended to eliminate by dispersion of solvents and scraping, the fibrous residues-foams-corks-adhesives ... still adhering on the grounds in order to make them clean, the used coatings having been torn off beforehand.

The principle of the manual tool consists in the use for mechanical action, of a flexible steel blade or a squeegee or a brush, fixed on a hollow metal handle. For the chemical action, a reservoir of translucent synthetic material is fixed on the same handle, connected to a regulating and shutter member, for example a ball valve, itself connected to a ramp in metal or plastic, pierced with small holes, ramp fixed parallel to the rear of the blade and close to the ground, making it possible to control the flow, by natural gravity of liquid, in dispersion jets projected at ground level, parallel to said blade or squeegee, without touching it.

The valve opening and closing mechanism is actuated by a metal rod housed inside the hollow handle in one piece, fitting into the valve mechanism at one end, at the other attaching to the rotating handle adapted to the end of the handle. A quarter-turn movement can thus be carried out at will, while exerting the back-and-forth movement (pulling and pushing). Another variant: handle finished in "T" to operate the tool with two hands.

Thus, in the case of stripping of fibrous residues + glue, the tool, by its weight, rests on the flexible blade. First, by pulling the device towards you, the blade exerts an action of penetration of the liquid product within the residues, accelerates the softening process, in a second step, by pushing the device, the blade grinds and takes off softened residue.

The main advantage of the manual tool which combines the two actions, is to limit the evaporation of the product, since it is spread close to the ground, and to reinforce its efficiency by the back and forth movement of the flexible blade and sharp, producing kneading of the product and residues by scraping stripping.

Prior to this invention, certain products were spread, uncontrollably and excessively, on the ground using a watering can. These products being volatile, evaporated quite quickly and saturated the premises. It was necessary to compensate for this evaporation by spreading more product so that the chemical action at ground level can take place, to soften the residues before being able to undertake the scraping action. using the separate tool.

However, this comb-shaped blade, at least the teeth of which are made of elastic rubber, does not allow scraping of products stuck on the cleaned surface.

The subject of the invention is therefore an apparatus for pickling residues fixed to the ground by the action on the ground of a crushing tool acting on residues sprayed with a solvent, characterized in that it comprises a support handle means for supplying solvent, said trituration tool consisting of at least one flexible cutting blade, made of flexible steel and inclined relative to the ground and being removably mounted at a lower end of said handle, said handle having a ramp to multiple solvent distribution micro-jets disposed close to the ground, and behind said blade, and at an upper end of said handle, manual means for remote control of a tap placed in the lower part of the handle on a pipe flow of said solvent to said micro-jet ramp from said solvent supply means.

According to a first characteristic, a removable mounting of the blade allows the interchangeability of the straight blade, either with a cambered blade, so as for the cambered blade, to consolidate the cutting part disposed in front of the plane of the rear part and of the upper part of the tool, improving the penetration of the blade by increasing the penetration angle and also with a view to limiting the size of the tool, bringing it to a height of substantially identical work, whatever the working member used, provided with fixing means adapted to be received by the fixing members of the tool.

According to other characteristics, the member for adjusting the spreading rate is characterized in that it is formed from a flexible synthetic hose, passing between two support elements, for example two cylinders, the spacing of which is adjustable, using control means arranged on the handle. According to one embodiment, one of the cylinders is fixed and integral with the handle and the other, mounted sliding, by a guided stirrup, along the handle, compressed on the flow tube using a spring. , which acts in traction, to ensure the pinching of the tube. The flexible tube is made of a flexible and specially elastic material, resistant to chemical attacks, chlorides, solvents, etc.

The means for fixing the blade or squeegee of the tool consist of an angled support defining a groove pierced with holes, for example three, between two lips, in which the upper part of the blade or squeegee is housed. The assembly is immobilized by threading a number of corresponding screws, into the holes and tightening using nuts.

The invention, with reference to FIGS. 1 to 6, consists of a manual tool, using a flexible steel blade 1, welded to a hollow steel handle 2 terminated by a rotating handle 3 making it possible to actuate a tap 4 open or closed in a quarter turn. The tap is connected on one side to a solvent tank 5, on the other to a ramp 6 pierced with small multiple holes arranged in line, ramp located behind the blade, spreading by gravity solvents at ground level, parallel to the blade.

The device held by the handle 3 is pushed and pulled back and forth in order to knead the residues, impregnated with spilled solvents, by pulling the device and pickling them through the blade by pushing it.

Les parties métalliques sont en acier inoxydable.The metal parts are made of stainless steel.

The reservoir, translucent in terms of synthesis, is fixed on the top of the handle from lugs molded in the mass of said reservoir to other lugs welded to the handle, the whole fixed by screws and nuts. This tank has a capacity of approximately 12 liters, the shape narrower at the base than the top allows:
  • to see the work of the blade,
  • to accentuate the natural gravity of the liquid,
  • to check the level of the liquid used.

It is possible to use the device by connecting a liquid supply using a flexible hose from a tank external to the device placed in height in order to respect the law of gravity. This process allows greater operating autonomy. In this case, a pig will be adapted on a leg of the handle initially intended to fix the tank, it will replace the weight of the tank in order to exert the pressure necessary for the flexibility of the blade, flexibility which reinforces its cutting action to strip the residues to be removed.

  • par un robinet à boule avec joint en "Teflon" ou autre matière de synthèse, inaltérable à l'action chimique du produit ;
  • par un pointeau en forme conique ou en forme de boule, se déplaçant de bas en haut et de haut en bas, dans un réceptacle en forme conique, soit en forme de cuvette cylindrique, formant étanchéité par rapprochement de la forme mâle et de la forme femelle ;
The liquid flow can be regulated:
  • by a ball valve with seal in "Teflon" or other synthetic material, unalterable to the chemical action of the product;
  • by a conical or ball-shaped needle, moving from bottom to top and from top to bottom, in a receptacle in conical shape, either in the form of a cylindrical bowl, forming a seal by bringing the male form and the form together female;
  • by a valve closing on flexible gasket, housed inside the tank or outside, connected by pull with return spring for closing or reverse case for opening.

Another manual variant of the valve opening and closing system, using a movable rod 7 placed outside and along the frame tube 2, rod connected to the lower part, in an asymmetrical articulated position, to the valve head 4, allowing it to be opened and closed, a return spring 8 brings the tab 9 of the valve head 4 back to the closed position. The movable rod 7 is connected to a small articulated handle 10 fixed to the upper part of the tube 2 under the fixed handle 3 'with two hands in the shape of a "T" which ends the handle 2 (by analogy: brake handle, handlebar bike).

Variant by mechanization of the manual principle using a sealed electric motor system 11 fixed on a metal frame 12 controlled by a contactor 15 fixed on the handle "T" 3 'of the handle 2 and allowing by a reduction to the using gears to set in opposite and slow motion, two weighted discs 14 fixed to the same frame 12, previously on each disc 14 were fixed two blades 1 of blue steel, angularly alternated. The weight, the flexibility of the blades and the circular movement have the same kneading and scraping effects of the residues as those of the manual tool. This mechanical module is connected to the handle 2 by an articulated fork 13. The spreading system, tank 5, tap 4, boom 6 keeps the same arrangement as in the manual system, only the spraying boom 6 is fixed behind the frame 12 close to the ground, in direct spreading on the residues.

The dispersion of the products (solvents) cannot be envisaged in mechanical dispersion inside the discs 14, because of the volatile property of the solvents, which would aim to accelerate their evaporation by contact on the moving metal parts , although the volatile effect is mitigated by chemical additives. The slow rotation of the discs 14 has two very complementary actions, promoting trituration-scraping and greatly limiting the evaporation of the product.

The electric motor 11 is started using an electric wire at a power outlet 16.

The invention is not limited to the embodiments described. This extends to any device intended for crushing and pickling of residues fixed on the ground, characterized by the associated use of at least one flexible cutting blade inclined relative to the ground, disposed at the end of a handle supporting solvent supply means, a micro-jet ramp multiple, disposed behind the blade or blades, adjustable by tap, controlled from a handle disposed at the upper end of said handle.

Un ressort de rappel 8, lorsque la poignée est relachée, en se rétractant, ramène le cylindre mobile 17 en position de compression du tube souple 4.Thus, according to other embodiments illustrated in Figures 8 to 11, the device consists of a handle 2 extended in its upper part by a two-handed "T" handle 3, extended in its lower part by a blade 1 slightly inclined by folding 24. The liquid reservoir 5 is fixed at mid-height of the handle. Behind the blade, the spreading boom 6 pierced with small holes disperses the liquid on the ground. A flexible tube 4 'connects the tank to the ramp. The liquid arrives or stops by pinching the flexible tube, using two cylinders, one fixed 17, the other 17 'slidingly mounted by a stirrup 25, guided along the handle 2 up to the control handle 10 by a rod 7 which pulls it in tension to release the flexible tube 4 from pinching. A return spring 8, when the handle is released, by retracting, brings the movable cylinder 17 back into the compression position of the flexible tube 4.

The blade 1 and the ramp 6 are assembled on a support 18 extending at a right angle 19 by two metal sheets forming a groove 20 pierced with three holes 21 intended to receive the blade 1 and its support 23 designed to be inserted in the groove 20 to be fixed there by screws and nuts 22.

The device of the invention, by its multiple adaptations allows a wide variety of uses and should not be limited by the versions shown which may extend to miniaturized versions which can be used for stripping on the walls or on the steps stairs in which the length of the handle would be reduced and the unit produced in one piece.
