- the covering can also be attached to the frame, for example, in such a way that pocket-shaped hems are sewn on opposite side edges of the covering, which surround the profile bars of the frame.
- the cross bar is connected to the free ends of the U-shaped profile rod by means of corner connectors.
- the corner connectors preferably provide for an improved stiffening of the U-shaped frames in their lower corner areas.
- the cross bar is designed as a tube.
- the design of the cross bar as a tube advantageously saves material and weight.
- the cross bars and the free ends of the profile bar can be connected by means of angled corner connectors, the legs of which e.g. can be positively inserted in one end of the cross bar and in one end of the profile rod. If necessary, these corner connectors are additionally fixed, for example by means of screws or grooves formed in the tubes.
- the cross bar which is designed as a tube, is closed at its ends with cover caps, so that no water can penetrate into the cross bar and, for example, can cause corrosion of the cross bar from the inside.
- a hinged joint is arranged on each of the cover caps, via which the wall part having the cover caps is connected to the wall part adjacent to it.
- One of the two mutually adjacent frames interconnecting hinged joints is advantageously arranged on the cover caps of the crossbars of these frames. In this way, the folding joint can be attached to the frame simply by pushing it into the cross bars.
- the cross bar has on its underside a receptacle, preferably a slot, for a sealing lip projecting outwards from the cross bar.
- the sealing lip advantageously provides a seal of the lower frame edge against splash water without impairing the pivotability of the frame.
- sealing lips can also be connected to the cross bar in any other way.
- the wall parts can be folded together by means of their folding joints.
- the hinged joints are advantageously arranged so that the shower partition can be folded like an accordion, which means particularly space-saving.

Description
The invention relates to a shower partition, which has one or more substantially rectangular wall parts, each of which is delimited by a frame formed from profile rods, on which a flat splash protection is arranged.
Shower partitions of the aforementioned type completely or partially separate the bathtub or shower tray from the rest of the bathroom. They - shield the splash water that would reach the floor of the bathroom without the shower partition over the edge of the tub, the splash water running down the shower partition into the tub. Shower partitions of the type mentioned ensure so effectively that the floor of the bathroom remains dry during a showering process.
Known shower enclosures from the above Genus generally have frames made of extruded aluminum profiles into which plastic panes are fitted. The stability of the frames essentially depends on the thickness of the aluminum profiles and on the connection of the aluminum profiles to one another in the corners of the frames, e.g. using miter cuts and screw connections. In addition to the stability of such a shower partition, the price of the shower partition also depends to a large extent on the quality of the aluminum profiles, that is to say on their material value, and on the processing value of their relatively complicated profile structure. In addition, known shower enclosures require a relatively complex and labor-intensive assembly work for the construction of the frame and for fitting the plastic panes.
The invention has for its object to provide a stable and inexpensive to produce shower partition.
The object has been achieved according to the invention in that several side edges of a frame are formed in one piece from a profile rod.
The frame of the shower partition according to the invention preferably does not consist of extruded aluminum profiles, but rather, for example, of steel rods of simple cross-section, which, for example, serve as corrosion protection. can be chromed or covered with plastic, so that the frames can be advantageously manufactured inexpensively.
The one-piece profile bar forming a plurality of side edges of a frame can consist, for example, of steel bars welded to one another in the corners of the frame. In this way, the use of corner connecting elements in the construction of the frame is largely superfluous and the frames are advantageously already so stable in themselves that the splash protection is no longer involved in the consolidation and stability and can therefore also have the simplest shape.
According to a development of the invention, a closed frame is formed from a single appropriately curved profile rod. The frame designed in this way is particularly stable in the corner areas which are formed by the bending radii of the profile rod. The frame can advantageously be manufactured quickly and inexpensively. The two ends of the profile rod forming the frame are preferably welded to one another or connected to one another in some other way in order to further stabilize the frame.
In a preferred embodiment, it is provided that three side edges of the frame are formed from a single U-shaped profile bar. The U-shaped profile bar preferably forms the approximately vertical side edges of a frame and the upper transverse side edge of the frame, so that the frame has no bending radii in its lower corner regions and other wall parts adjacent to it can adjoin it closely without two in the lower region Adjacent wall parts a corner space required for its sealing more complex measures is created.
According to a next development of the invention, the free ends of the U-shaped profile rod are connected by means of a straight cross bar. The cross bar advantageously serves to further stabilize the frame and to seal the frame in its lower region, for example with respect to the tub edge.
According to another development of the invention, each profile rod is a tube, preferably a round tube. The use of tubes as profile rods results in an advantageous material saving, which allows both a more cost-effective production of the shower partition according to the invention, as well as a lighter weight design of the shower partition, which allows easier installation of the shower partition.
According to another further development of the invention, adjacent side edges of the wall parts of the shower partition have hinged joints connecting the wall parts and an end wall part of the wall parts on its free side edge to joint elements which can be mounted on building-side support elements. The shower partition according to the invention can be folded up in an advantageous manner by means of the folding joints. The shower partition is advantageously not fixed to the edge of the tub, but is attached to the support elements on the building side, e.g. using dowels, using dowels. Walls, fortified. The articulated connectors allow the shower partition to be folded onto the building's supporting elements. The shower partition, for example, only needs to remain unfolded during the duration of a shower process and can then e.g. can be folded back onto the wall of the bathroom. This is particularly advantageous if the shower partition is used for a bathtub, which, for example in a full bath, should be freely accessible when required.
According to a further development of the invention, the splash water protection is a plastic plate held on the frame by means of mounting elements. The plastic plate is preferably detachably connected to the frame by means of the holding elements, wherein the hatching elements can, for example, be firmly connected to the plastic plate or the frame.
In a preferred embodiment of the shower partition according to the invention, the plastic plate is inserted appropriately into the frame, so that the plastic plate advantageously completely and completely covers the inner surface delimited by the frame and effectively prevents splash water from passing through the frame.
According to another development of the invention, the support rods encompassing the profile rods are arranged on each plastic plate. Preferably, the support elements are also made of plastic and molded to the plastic plate. The plastic plate can thus advantageously be easily inserted into the frame. For example, the holding elements can be sleeve segments made of plastic that encompass more than half the circumference of the profile rods, which can be pressed onto the profile rods due to the flexibility of the plastic and clasp the profile rods tightly after being pressed on.
According to another development of the invention, sleeve elements encompassing the profile rods are provided as holding elements, each of which has approximately radially protruding outer flaps that receive an edge region of the plastic plate between them. For example, the profile bars can be covered with sleeve pieces having outer flaps, preferably sleeve pieces made of plastic. The plastic plate is inserted between the outer plates of the sleeve pieces, so that the space between the edges of the plastic plate and the profile rods is advantageously completely covered and sealed by the outer plates.
In a preferred embodiment of the shower partition according to the invention, mutually facing surfaces of the outer straps have sealing elements, preferably molded sealing elements, which advantageously bring about an additional seal between the outer straps and the edge regions of the plastic pane inserted between them, and also provide shock-absorbing mounting of the plastic pane.
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that each sleeve piece consists of two plastic hat shells connected to one another via a joint, preferably a weakening joint known per se, the free ends of which are directed away from the joint and have locking elements which can be locked together. The sleeve pieces can advantageously be opened and removed from the profile rods, so that the plastic plates can be removed from the frame and replaced, for example, after damage.
Since the splash protection is not involved in the strengthening and the stability of the wall part, it can be carried out very easily and inexpensively. Splash water protection can e.g. be a flexible covering. Such a covering, which can consist, for example, of water-impermeable material, thin plastic film or the like, is particularly inexpensive, easy to attach and light in weight.
In a preferred embodiment, the covering is designed as a tubular sleeve that can be pushed onto the frame. Of course, the covering can also be attached to the frame, for example, in such a way that pocket-shaped hems are sewn on opposite side edges of the covering, which surround the profile bars of the frame.
According to another development of the invention, the cross bar is connected to the free ends of the U-shaped profile rod by means of corner connectors. The corner connectors preferably provide for an improved stiffening of the U-shaped frames in their lower corner areas.
In a preferred embodiment, the cross bar is designed as a tube. The design of the cross bar as a tube advantageously saves material and weight. In particular when using tubular profile bars, the cross bars and the free ends of the profile bar can be connected by means of angled corner connectors, the legs of which e.g. can be positively inserted in one end of the cross bar and in one end of the profile rod. If necessary, these corner connectors are additionally fixed, for example by means of screws or grooves formed in the tubes.
Preferably, the cross bar, which is designed as a tube, is closed at its ends with cover caps, so that no water can penetrate into the cross bar and, for example, can cause corrosion of the cross bar from the inside.
According to a development of the invention, a hinged joint is arranged on each of the cover caps, via which the wall part having the cover caps is connected to the wall part adjacent to it. One of the two mutually adjacent frames interconnecting hinged joints is advantageously arranged on the cover caps of the crossbars of these frames. In this way, the folding joint can be attached to the frame simply by pushing it into the cross bars.
According to another preferred development of the invention, the cross bar has on its underside a receptacle, preferably a slot, for a sealing lip projecting outwards from the cross bar. The sealing lip advantageously provides a seal of the lower frame edge against splash water without impairing the pivotability of the frame. Of course, sealing lips can also be connected to the cross bar in any other way.
According to a further development of the invention, the wall parts can be folded together by means of their folding joints. The hinged joints are advantageously arranged so that the shower partition can be folded like an accordion, which means particularly space-saving.
According to another development of the invention, sealing members covering the gap between adjacent side edges are arranged on the wall parts. The sealing members can be, for example, sealing lips protruding perpendicularly from the profile rods. e.g. are arranged on the frame or on the splash guard. For example, band-shaped tabs or strips, preferably made of rubber or plastic film, which are stretched from one side edge of a frame to the side edge of another frame adjacent to it, are used as sealing members. Of course, a sealing element for the gap is also provided, which is created by the articulated connector between the shower partition and the building-side support elements. This can e.g. be a cover plate L-shaped cross-section, one leg of which covers the gap, while its other leg is held on the building-side support elements.
According to a last development of the invention, the hinged joints have stops which limit the swivel path of the wall parts and the swivel path is greater than 180 °. Since the pivoting path of the individual wall parts is advantageously greater than 180 °, the shower partition according to the invention can, for example, also be placed along a rounded bathtub head part.
