Aus der GB-A 226 341 ist beispielsweise eine Einrichtung der o.g. Art bekannt, bei der ein Schlagarm durch einen mechanischen Antrieb in Bewegung versetzt wird. Hierzu liegt einer Rolle ein Schlagarm auf, der mit einem Auflaufkurvenstück verbunden ist. Dieses Auflaufkurvenstück kann von einer an einem Unterwellenrad befestigten Schlagrollen angegriffen und überrollt werden. Dadurch bewegt sich der Schlagarm nach unten, wobei die Rolle des Schützenschlägers mitgenommen wird und der Schützenschläger um ein Drehgelenk dreht. Dabei beaufschlagt der Schützenschläger andernends des Drehgelenks den Schützen und treibt ihn durch die Webmaschine. Diese Einrichtung hat den Nachteil, dass eine direkte Übertragung der Bewegung des Schlagarms auf den Schützenschläger stattfindet, so dass seine Beschleunigung linear erfolgt. Gewünscht ist aber eine kurvenförmige Beschleunigung, wobei die Beschleunigung nach einem langsamen Beginn rasch ansteigt.From GB-A 226 341, for example, a device of the above type is known, in which an impact arm is set in motion by a mechanical drive. Über diesen Schützenantrieb wird ein Kurbel-Pleuel-Gelenkgestänge betätigt, durch welches dem Schützenschlager eine beschleunigte Bewegung erteilt wird. Dieser ungefederte Webschützenantrieb erfüllt im wesentlichen die Erwartungen, jedoch hat sich in der Praxis gezeigt, dass seine Anwendbarkeit begrenzt ist. Dies insbesondere deshalb, weil der für den Schützenantrieb verwendete Elektromagnet schnell aufeinanderfolgenden Schusseintragungen nicht zu folgen vermag.
