- the cardboard packaging is also protected by an external coating of thermoplastic material having the shape of a shell which is applied against the external faces of the bottom and side walls of the packaging and which ends at its upper edge by a peripheral rim parallel to the bottom and projecting laterally towards the outside, the peripheral portion of internal covering which covers the external faces of the entablatures and the upper edges of the other walls of the package also projecting outside of the latter, forming a projecting peripheral rim, said rims of the external shell and the internal coating being heat-sealed together.
- the packaging shown in Figures 1 and 2 consists of a parallelepiped plate 10 of corrugated cardboard of a type known per se. It comprises a bottom 12, longitudinal walls 14 and transverse walls 16 articulated on the bottom by fold lines and raised relative to this bottom.

- the coating 28 is semi-rigid ( Figure 3), it is not mandatory to adhere it to the cardboard, since it self-locks inside the tray. They can hardly be forced through the opening defined between the entablatures, because of their relative rigidity. It goes without saying, however, that the locking can be reinforced by means of several lines of adhesive printed for example on the bottom 12 of the plate.

- the surfaces of the film which are facing through the windows and which are located on both sides of the entablatures, are welded together.
- the cardboard packaging is protected not only internally by the coating 28 already described, but also externally by a shell-shaped coating 38 made of thermoplastic material which is applied to the external faces of the bottom 12 and of the side walls.
- the shell ends at its upper edge by a peripheral rim 40 which extends laterally outwards parallel to the bottom. This rim is heat sealed to the rim 30 of the internal coating which is made to project slightly for this purpose in 30 ′ outside the walls of the packaging.
- This conditioning is carried out in a simple manner using simple means used in the thermoforming technique.
