Definitions

  • the invention relates to a dispenser according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • a donor of this kind is known from BE-A-335 084. It has a cylinder housing with an integrated application body.
  • the filling content for example shoe polish
  • the latter is correspondingly accessible through a rear opening in the cylinder housing.
  • the latter including a rear handle in the form of a pressure piece, is quite flat overall. This harbors the risk of tilting. In the worst case, shoe cream can get behind the back of the piston, etc.
  • Such a donor is known from DE-C-615 280. Its piston is advanced by means of a screw movement. An extension piece in the form of a sleeve that can be connected to the piston serves as a screw handle. The latter is unscrewed again after the piston has been moved. They are placed on the jacket of the cylinder housing. In order to create the necessary expansion, the sleeve is slit lengthways. However, such a longitudinal slit poses stability problems and problems also with regard to the connection to the piston. In order to create an internal support here, the piston has an annular bead on which the inner edge of the insert-side end of the sleeve is supported.
  • FR-A-2 290 129 to provide the handle of a toothbrush designed as a housing with a longitudinal slot.
  • the housing holds a standard toothpaste tube.
  • a ball which can be displaced from the free end in the direction of the tube head serves to squeeze out its contents.
  • the mentioned longitudinal slot offers accessibility for this ball displacement.
  • the content to be squeezed passes through the hollow neck of the brush to emerge in the area of the bristle body.
  • the slot limits the displaceability of the ball in the axial direction, so it is not open towards the free end of the handle.
  • the object of the invention is to design a dispenser of the generic type in such a way that, in addition to good tilt-free piston guidance and the largest possible overall length, there is convenient operability.
  • the content receiving space is formed by the portion of the cylinder housing lying between the application body and the manually operable piston and the length of the jacket wall of the piston corresponding approximately to that of the receiving space from one of the rear opening of the cylinder space outgoing longitudinal slot in the cylinder housing wall is overlapped to reach through the actuating finger.
  • a generic dispenser of increased use value is achieved: the cream column can be pushed in conveniently.
  • the cylinder housing, which is available in its entire length for the piston guide, serves as the basis, that is to say the section which forms the actual content-receiving space and the section which is attached at the rear for the tilt-free piston bearing. The area serving for the piston is therefore additionally available.
  • the donor is in the hand. It is serious for the handling advantage that the user can pass through the longitudinal slot starting from the rear opening of the cylinder housing with the operating finger.
  • the operator also does not come into contact with the shoe polish or the like, since the piston wipes the guide part of the cylinder housing interior which is released.
  • the slot edges are also far from the shoe polish, since the piston only begins behind the inner slot end and the length of the piston corresponds approximately to that of the content-receiving space, this with approximately the same length of the longitudinal slot. With such length ratios, the longitudinal slot can even be used as an optical fill level indicator.
  • the procedure is then such that the jacket wall of the piston is formed in part by a clipped-on, cup-shaped, known extension piece of the same.
  • the closed bottom of the pot-shaped extension piece represents the contact surface for the finger of the operating hand.
  • the shoe polish dispenser has a cylinder housing 1 for a piston 2 which can be axially displaced therein.
  • the cylinder housing 1 has a pot shape and, viewed in cross section, is circular. Of course, elliptical or even current cross-sectional shapes are used.
  • This intermediate section has a length x which corresponds essentially to the length y of the jacket wall W of the piston; x corresponds to one and a half times the inside diameter of the cylinder housing 1.
  • the jacket wall W of the piston 2 is overlapped by a longitudinal slot 4 extending from the rear opening ⁇ of the cylinder housing 1 (see FIG. 1).
  • the longitudinal slot 4 serves for the passage of the finger of the operating hand and enables the piston 2, which can be displaced by hand, to be pushed in comfortably.
  • the latter is hollow and closed both in the direction of the opening ⁇ and in the direction of the base 3. While the last-mentioned end is level with the floor 3, the outward-facing end takes a dome-shaped course.
  • the piston 2 consists of two cup-shaped components (parts a, b) which are clipped together.
  • H. to form the pressure-floor-forming part a as a longer pot and to simply close its open end by means of a disc for placing the tip of the operating finger.
  • the part of the piston 2 designated with a forms on its jacket wall, practically starting from a thickened wall part, two oppositely running ring lips 5 which point upwards and downwards. Between the lip ends, the annular lips 5 are slightly arched from the inner surface 1 'of the cylinder housing 1. The ring lips taper continuously towards the free ends. This creates a notch-valley-like annular recess 6 on the piston side, which has a particularly favorable effect in relation to the annular lip lying in the direction of displacement (arrow R) insofar as mass pressed into this annular recess 6 additionally favors the sealing contact of this annular lip on the inner surface 1 '.
  • the other, oppositely aligned ring lip supports the piston 2 against sliding down.
  • there is a certain friction effect due to the other piston part b, the jacket wall W of which also leads to the inner surface 1 'of the cylinder housing 1.
  • the inner end 4 'of the longitudinal slot 4 extends approximately to the level of the opening-side annular lip 5, which extends in the upper third of the piston 2.
  • the length z of the longitudinal slot 4 corresponds to approximately two thirds of the length y.
  • the actual leading jacket wall of the piston 2 is part b. This leads to a relatively long guide length, since this part b makes up more than half the total length of the piston 2.
  • This part b which can be referred to as an extension piece 7, has on its inner edge a clip groove 8 into which an annular clip projection 9 of part a engages.
  • the inner wall surface of the extension piece 7 carries inwardly projecting longitudinal ribs 10, on the top ends of which the edge of the other part a is seated.
  • the longitudinal ribs 10 which also act to reinforce the wall, preferably extend at equal angles to one another.
  • the width of the longitudinal slot 4 corresponds essentially to that of a finger of the operating hand.
  • the longitudinal slot input edges are rounded convexly.
  • the curves have the reference number 11. They lead, as can be clearly seen from FIG. 1, to a slot entrance which acts in a centering manner.
  • the slot length and length of the receiving space A are coordinated with one another, a scale which cooperates with the outer bottom of the piston as an index line can be provided at the slot edge.
  • the opening-side end of the cylinder housing 1 widens into a standing edge 12, while maintaining the wall thickness of the cylinder housing. In this way, a centering aid for the piston assignment is achieved.
  • a shoe cream application body 13 On the outside of the bottom 3 there is a shoe cream application body 13. It is an annular disk-shaped structure made of open-cell foam, sponge or the like, which can be compressed against the restoring force, has good absorbency and has the ability to distribute the shoe cream evenly over the application surface .
  • the application body for example, simply glued onto the outside of the base 3 or fixed in a different way, leaves a central, longitudinal channel 14. The latter is aligned with a mouthpiece opening 15 in the base 3 of the cylinder housing. However, the mouthpiece opening is kept smaller in cross section. Their diameter is approximately 2 mm, while that of the channel 14 is approximately 4-5 mm.
  • the outside of the bottom has a groove 16 on the circumference for the form-fitting storage of the application body 13.
  • Such a groove can of course also be realized in the vicinity of the mouthpiece opening 15.
  • the purpose of such a configuration is to give this application body a form-fitting lateral support.
  • the inner throat bears the reference number 17. Taking into account the illustration in FIG. 3, the bottom of the throat runs as a concave arch Ring surface. For clarification, the four-sided cross-section of the application body has not yet been pressed into the depression produced to produce the adhesive surface connection.
  • the mouthpiece opening 15 can be closed by means of a mandrel 18; the latter is located in a cap 19 which hermetically seals the head of the dispenser, that is, it overlaps the application body.
  • the mandrel is rooted centrally in the cap cover and tapers towards the free end except for the clear dimension of the mouthpiece opening 15 close essentially on the same level.
  • the edge of the cap rests on a shoulder 20 of the cylinder housing.
  • the shoulder 20 is reached by an inward displacement of the wall of the cylinder housing.
  • the cap 19 comes into tight fit. To make centering easier, the end section near the floor of the zone overlapped by the cap tapers conically.
  • the function is, briefly summarized, as follows: To fill the receiving space A of the cylinder housing, this is directed with the bottom 3 downwards.
  • the mouthpiece opening 15 is expediently closed beforehand by means of the cap.
  • the shoe polish introduced in the liquid state through the opening ⁇ hardens.
  • the piston 2 is placed on top. In order to avoid the trapping of air, this can escape due to roughening of the inner surface 1 'in the piston assignment area.
  • the cap 19 For use, the cap 19 must be removed and the piston moved with the finger of the operating hand in the direction of the mouthpiece opening.
  • the cream enters the channel 14 or slightly beyond it as a central bead over the flat coating surface 13 '.
  • the output is completely independent of location. This is followed by the spreading of the shoe polish on the upper leather of the shoe, the entire cylinder body lying in the hand as a tool that can be easily guided.
