Abstract

A protective mask which is to be worn when dressing or changing clothes so as to protect a facial makeup or a hairdo, comprises a hood which is placed over the head and has a lower open end in through which the head is passed and which is made of an air permeable transparent material.

Description

The invention relates to a protective mask to be worn when changing clothes in order to avoid soiling of clothes by make-up and / or to protect hairstyles.

From DE-OS 25 16 892 a make-up protection in the form of a curved plate made of plastic is already known, which is waterproof and is held in front of the eye area when washing the hair. This is to prevent the eye make-up from running through water. Another protective mask is described in US-A-2484269, which is designed in the form of a hood that can be put over the head. The object of the invention is to provide a protective mask to be worn when changing clothes, by means of which it is reliably prevented that when putting on and / or taking off clothes they become soiled by makeup applied to the facial skin and / or that a hairstyle is impaired . The design of the protective mask should be simple and therefore inexpensive to manufacture, and it should not hinder the wearer and should be easy to handle.

According to the invention, this achieves a protective mask as given in expression 1.

The protective mask can be formed in a simple manner from a rectangular, centrally folded piece of material, the edges of which are firmly connected to one another on the two longitudinal sides, for example glued, welded or sewn. However, it is also possible to manufacture them from a tubular piece of material, the edges of one transverse side of which are wholly or partially firmly connected to one another, for example glued, welded or sewn.

It is also appropriate for the protective mask to be rounded in one or both upper corner areas in accordance with the shape of the head.

To lock the protective mask, it is appropriate to provide it in the lower area on the outside with one or more Velcro fasteners, self-adhesive films, snap fasteners or the like, or to incorporate a preferably continuous elastic band into it, so that the protective mask can be gathered in this area and thus safely is held.

It is also advantageous to provide the protective mask with two viewing slits and preferably in the area assigned to the mouth or nose with air inlet openings.

A storage box can be provided to store several protective masks, but it is also possible to combine several protective masks into a tear-off block.

The protective mask designed according to the invention is not only simple in its design and thus economically easy to manufacture, but also easy to use and ensures reliable protection against contamination by make-up and hairstyle, especially when changing clothes. If the protective mask is in the form of a hood which is made of an air-permeable transparent material, it is possible to put it over the head when changing clothes without the wearer of the protective mask being impaired or hindered thereby. The face as well as the hairstyle are rather reliably covered, so that contamination of the clothes by make-up is ruled out and sometimes great financial damage is avoided. The hairstyle is also protected. The protective mask designed according to the proposal can therefore be used successfully in both commercial and private areas.

Hierbei zeigt:

  • Fig. 1 die über einen Kopf gestülpte Schutzmaske,
In the drawing, an embodiment of the protective mask designed according to the invention is shown, which is explained in detail below. Here shows:
  • 1 the protective mask put over a head,
  • Fig. 2, the protective mask of FIG. 1 in front view and
  • 3 shows a different design of the protective mask according to FIG. 1.

The protective mask shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 and designated 1 or 1 'is designed in the form of a hood 2 and is used when changing clothes, above all to protect the clothes from dirt caused by make-up applied to the facial skin. Since the protective mask 1 is made of a transparent, air-permeable material, e.g. Fließ, is produced, the person wearing this is not hindered or impaired, the protective mask can rather be worn over a longer period of time.

The protective mask 1 or 1 ', as can be seen in FIG. 2, is made from a rectangular piece of material which is folded around the central folded edge 3 and the long sides 4 of which are firmly connected or sewn together by means of an adhesive or weld seam 5 . In each of the two upper corner areas, a rounding 6 corresponding to the shape of the head has been made. The longitudinal edges 4 can also be connected to one another in this area, but it is also possible without further ado to leave this area open.

Furthermore, two eye slits 8 and in the area of the nose and mouth, air inlet openings 9 and 10 are incorporated into the protective mask 1 in the area of the eyes.

Furthermore, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, two Velcro fasteners, designated 7, are attached to the outside of the protective mask 1 in the lower region thereof. After putting on the protective mask 1, this can thus be gathered slightly in this area and with the help of the Velcro fasteners 7, this gathering can be fixed, so that the protective mask 1 is not removed from the head of the wearer, but is held securely even when a garment is removed. When changing clothes, the protective mask 1 thus reliably protects the clothing from soiling, and also protects a hairstyle.

For locking the protective mask 1 ', however, as can be seen in FIG. 3, a rubber band 11 can also be provided, which is incorporated into the protective mask 1' continuously or only over a partial area. As a result, the latter is contracted in the lower region and thus gathered, thus preventing the protective mask 1 'from being stripped off unintentionally when changing clothes.
