Um die in Europa gängigen Sattelanhänger über das Schienennetz transportieren zu können, sind Eisenbahn- Güterwagen entwickelt worden, die eine gegenüber den Langträgern des Fahrzeuguntergestells abgesenkte Ladetasche zur Aufnahme der Räder des Sattelanhängers aufweisen, so daß die eine maximale Fahrzeughöhe von vier Metern besitzenden Sattelanhänger innerhalb des vorgegeben Freiraumprofils transportiert werden können. Da über die Räder des Sattelanhängers mindestens die Hälfte des Gewichtes des Sattelanhängers auf den Eisenbahn-Güterwagen übertragen wird, müssen die abgesenkten Ladetaschen entsprechend stabil ausgebildet sein. Die bisherigen Konstruktionen besitzen zu diesem Zweck unterhalb des Ladetaschenbodens ein untergezogenes Sprengwerk aus Profilträgern. Durch dieses Sprengwerk wird in Verbindung mit der gegenüber den Langträgern des Fahrzeuguntergestells abgesenkten Ladetasche die Bodenfreiheit des Eisenbahn-Güterwagens reduziert, so daß die bekannten Konstruktionen nicht die insbesondere für die skandinavischen Länder erforderliche Fährbootfähigkeit besitzen, die eine Befahrbarkeit von Fährbootrampen mit einem Knickwinkel von 2° 30 Minuten erfordert. Da die wannenförmigen Bleche mindestens im Bereich des Wagenbodens gewölbt sind, treten anstelle von Bigespannungen in den bisher bekannten Ladetaschenböden nunmehr Zug- oder Druckspannungen im Material der Bleche auf. A railway wagon for transporting semitrailers having a load recess formed in the vehicle underframe for the semi-trailer wheels, said recess being at a lower level than the vehicle underframe longitudinal members, characterised in that the load recess (5) is formed solely by at least one trough-shaped metal plate (5a) which is curved, at least in the region of the base of the trough, and is connected to the outer longitudinal members (1a) at its longitudinal edges.

A railway wagon according to claim 1, characterised in that the load recess (5) is formed by two half shells (5b) disposed one next to the other in the longitudinal direction and supported, in the centre of the wagon, on a central longitudinal member (1c) clamped between two crossmembers (1d) of the vehicle underframe (1).
3. A railway wagon according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the longitudinal edges of the metal plates (5a, 5b) are also constructed as part of the longitudinal member (1a) of the vehicle under frame (1).
