Claims (6)

1. Pfanne zum Chlorieren von geschmolzenen Aluminiumlegierungen in gleichsinnig gerichteter Strömung zwecks Abtrennung des Magnesiums, die aus einer äußeren metallischen Hülle (1), einer inneren feuerfesten Auskleidung, einer Einlaßrinne (3) und einer Auslaßrinne (4) des Metalls, einer inneren vertikalen Trennwand (6) besteht, die mit dem Boden der Pfanneinen Zwischenraum (7) für die Zirkulation des Metalls läßt und die Pfanne in ein Einspeisungsabteil (8) und ein einziges Behandlungsabteil (9) unterteilt, in dem ein Rotor (10) mit radialer Verteilung von chlorhaltigem Gas angebracht ist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Behandlungsabteil an seiner Basis durch eine horizontale Wand (13) geschlossen ist, die sich auf Höhe des Unterendes der Trennwand erstreckt und in ihrer Mitte von einer Öffnung (14) durchsetzt ist, deren Achse mit der Drehachse des Rotors übereinstimmt.
2. Pfanne nach dem Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Pfanne eine Nutzkapazität von höchstens 1 m3 hat.
3. Pfanne nach dem Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Querschnitt der Öffnung im Bereich von 1/10 bis 1/15 des Querschnitts des Behandlungsabteils liegt.
4. Pfanne nach dem Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Strömung des Metalls vom Unterende der Trennwand zur Öffnung längs eines Kanals erfolgt, der anfangs auf Höhe der Trennwand in einer horizontalen Ebene eine der der Trennwand nahe Breite hat und anschließend sich verengend verläuft, um nahe bei der Öffnung eine der größten Abmessung der Öffnung entsprechende Breite zu erreichen.
5. Pfanne nach dem Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Rotor einen horizontalen Querschnitt mit denen der Öffnung ähnlichen Abmessungen hat.
6. Pfanne nach dem Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Rotor Kanäle zur Verteilung von chlorhaltigem Gas, beispielsweise von elementarem Chlor oder seinen Abkömmlingen, aufweist, die einen ausreichenden Querschnitt haben, um einen 240 kg/h erreichenden Durchsatz zu sichern.
