Description

The invention relates to a hazard detector for fire, smoke, gas or burglary in connection with a mains-operated lighting fixture for residential and commercial premises.

The use of hazard detectors of all kinds has become widespread in recent times, in many cases it is inevitable due to the multiple dangers to our civilization today. This applies in particular to those buildings or premises that serve to store important or valuable objects or documents or to present valuable exhibits in public or in private. There are various types of detection systems for detecting and reporting an external hazard such as fire, smoke, gas or burglary. In addition to permanently installed emergency and safety lights - also called panic lights - there are movable hand-held emergency lights with a detection part for gas and fire hazards (DE 30 05 844).

It is disadvantageous that the known hazard detectors and portable security lights have an optically disturbing effect due to their technical-functional appearance and the necessary attachment to ceilings, walls or furnishings, in particular in the private sector, and also because of the installation effort required in the form of supply and discharge lines for them Power supply and generation or forwarding of the alarm signals, the equipment with one or more hazard detectors is dispensed with, or their attachment or installation to more or less hidden ones Places in the room or house where their effectiveness is more or less impaired. The installation in less effective places also applies to portable emergency lights with a hazard warning section, especially for the charging phase.

The present invention has for its object to provide a hazard detector according to the preamble of claim. 1 on which the visual appearance is not impaired and which is not functionally impaired by the way it is installed in the room. This task is characterized by the characterizing features of claim. 1 solved.

The invention provides a hazard detector which serves at the same time a further function which is necessary in residential and commercial spaces and which can be attached to any position, including an exposed position, without impairing the appearance of the room. In addition, there is a further significant advantage of the invention that the connection to the lighting fixture provides direct access to supply lines, via which both the voltage supply to the hazard detector and the derivation of the warning signals generated in the signal generator enable an external detector. Subsequent installation in rooms is therefore possible without the need for additional electrical installations.

In executing the inventive concept, the housing of the hazard detector can be designed as a support base for the lighting fixture in the case of ceiling or wall lighting, wherein either the functional parts of the hazard detector and the lamp are accommodated in a common housing or both functional parts can be accommodated in separate housing parts or carriers assembled as a kit. However, the housing can also serve as a cover cap or an integrated part of the cover cap for the ceiling connections of the lamp or as a base for the detectors. In this case, the housing for ceiling or wall luminaires with a signaling part arranged in the base is advantageously arranged at a distance from the ceiling or wall surface, and the housing on the side facing the ceiling or wall is provided with access openings for the medium indicating the hazard, so that despite the attachment complete exposure of the functional parts of a smoke detector is achieved at an exposed point without any impairment of the detection function.

In a further embodiment of the invention, in the case of hanging lamps, the housing of the hazard detector is provided with guide or holding parts such as hooks and eyes and inserted into the suspension of the lighting fixture or forms a hanging part for the lighting fixture itself. In addition, the housing of the hazard detector can also be designed as a support frame or part of the support frame of a hanging lamp or as a pull roller or integrated part of the pull roller of a pull lamp.

In the case of floor or table lamps, the housing can form the foot or an integrated part of the foot or can be fastened to the stand of the lamp, just as it can also form the lampshade or an integrated part of a lampshade or can be fastened to the lampshade. Here, too, the housing of the hazard detector which forms part of the luminaire is provided with access openings for the medium which triggers the hazard notification, with — likewise in the case of the embodiments of the ceiling and wall lights — advantageously thermal insulation between the reporting part and the luminaire part. or heat reflective layer is arranged.

The power supply and the derivation of electrical signaling signals to an externally located location on the power line are advantageously carried out, with a power adapter provided by a power converter being provided for the power supply, which is connected via a changeover switch to the detection part, which in turn is connected via an output amplifier with externally removable connection points or Is connected to modulators with which, depending on the type of hazard identified, an optical or acoustic signal is generated or an electrical signal for external demodulation is modulated onto a carrier frequency. Here, on the one hand, a battery is advantageously connected upstream of the changeover switch and, on the other hand, the switching elements are formed by switching elements which are free of spark.
