Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for windsurfing devices for adjusting the distance between the boom and the surfboard, which has a drill which can be connected to the mast of the device and has axially spaced-apart depressions and a bolt which engages in the depressions for axial adjustment and determination of the aforementioned distance .
- a known device of this type for adjusting the distance between the boom and the surfboard is connected on the one hand to the mast base of the surfboard and on the other hand to the mast.
- the latch is located on the mast base.
- the object of the invention is to provide a device of the type mentioned in the introduction, which enables a so-called water start in particular to be carried out more easily. Furthermore, a height adjustment of the boom should at least be possible when the surfer is standing on the floating surfing device.
- a second tube is slidably mounted on the first tube and that the bolt is part of a locking device arranged on the second tube and can be unlocked by means of an element that can be operated while surfing.
- the distance between the boom and the surfboard can be easily changed and readjusted at any time.
- the distance in question is matched to the respective surfer by raising and locking the outer tube of the two telescopic tubes, which is directly or indirectly connected to the boom.
- the distance mentioned can now be reduced by unlocking the locking device, for. B. by a pull line or a lever, and by pushing back the outer tube including the rig with the sail or the boom, optionally supported by a retractor, in the starting position, that is, in the position of the shortest distance, with subsequent relocking of the two telescopic tubes .
- This minimum distance is such that the surfer lying in the water, with his feet supported on the surfboard by grasping the boom, can lift the rig with the sail sufficiently far out of the water so that the wind can reach safely under the sail .
- the device is unlocked again and the rig or boom is set to the desired height and locked again, which is also easy to carry out.
- the distance in question can also be conveniently set during the actual surfing in order to best suit the prevailing conditions.
- Another advantage of the new device is that the rig with the sail is easier to lift out of the water even when the surfer is standing on the floating board. The device is then also unlocked to reduce the distance in question, so that the rig with the sail using the usual catch sheet due to the larger catch angle the sheet is lighter, that is to say with less force, from which water can be pulled.
- a locking arrangement for locking the mast at the mast base can be designed such that the bolt automatically engages and / or can be adjusted via a lever arrangement or via a control element leading into the vicinity of the boom, whereby the height adjustment is further facilitated while driving.
- markings can, for example, reflect the distance in cm from the bottom of the mast, but symbols can also be used.
- the device according to the invention can also be retrofitted, at least in the case of those mast feet which enable the mast shoe to be fixed at at least one height, for example commercially available mast feet with circumferential transverse grooves.
- the windsurfing device shown in Fig. 1 consists of the usual surfboard 1, the rig 2, which is composed of a mast 3 and a boom 4 and is provided with a sail 5 and the proposed device 6, which in the example shown on the one hand with the Mast foot joint 7 of the surfboard 1 and on the other hand is connected to the mast 3.
- the device 6 is pulled apart by the dimension a and locked in this position, so that the boom 4 to the surfboard 1 has such a distance that is generally perceived by the surfing person as useful.
- the device 6 is shown in detail, it consists of an inner tube 8, an outer tube 9 and a locking device 10, the z. B. is attached by means of screws 11 below the outer tube.
- the lower end of the inner tube 8 is, for. B. at 12 by means of screws with a socket 13, which in turn is advantageously rotatably mounted in the mast foot joint 7 of the surfboard 1.
- the socket 13 is detachably connected to the joint 7, so that the device 6 can be separated from the surfboard, for example for transport purposes.
- the two tubes 8 and 9 can be moved telescopically one inside the other and can be adjusted in the desired position in the axial direction and can be locked by means of the latching device 10.
- the latching device 10 consists of a housing 14 with a latching bolt 15 and with a spring 16 (FIG. 3), which presses the bolt 15 normally into the locking position, for which purpose the bolt has a contact shoulder 16a.
- the locking device comprises locking recesses 17, which are provided on the outer surface of the inner tube 8, in the direction of the axial extension of the inner tube 8.
- the inner tube is provided with an axially extending longitudinal groove 18, the bottom of which is provided with the locking recesses 17 spaced apart from one another is, the locking recesses advantageously consist of holes.
- a guide element 19 is also provided, for. B. in the form of a bracket.
- a pull cord 20 runs as an operating element, which is connected on the one hand to the outer end of the locking bolt 15 and on the other hand can be detachably attached to the mast 3, advantageously in the region of the point at which the boom 4 is also attached to the mast 3.
- the bracket 19 ensures a safe retraction of the locking pin 15 when the surfer Rope gripped at its upper end and pulls on it.
- a retraction device 21 is provided for this purpose.
- e.g. B. can consist of a rubber strand.
- This rubber strand is fixed on the one hand on the outer tube 9 and on the other hand on the inner tube 8 in a conventional manner. Since the two pipes 8 and 9 are said to be relatively extensible, e.g. B. by a dimension of 40 to 60 cm, and are accordingly long, the rubber cord 21 must have a corresponding deflection distance.
- the inner tube 8 is provided in the region of its lower end with an inner, conventional deflection block 22 which, for. B. is fixed by means of a bolt 24 so that the strand is guided around this block and fixed at the upper end of the inner tube 9.
- the strand 21 has a sufficiently large basic length that allows the tubes 8 and 9 to be pulled apart relatively far.
- the lower end of the outer tube 9 is also provided with a slip eyelet 25, which serves to ensure that the sail 5 can be fixed to the device 6, as illustrated in FIG. 1.
- a slip eyelet 25 which serves to ensure that the sail 5 can be fixed to the device 6, as illustrated in FIG. 1.
- the sail 5 is pulled over the mast 3 and the mast is in turn pushed over the outer tube 9 to the stop on either the housing 14 or the eyelet 25, it is ensured that the rig 2 with the sail 5 does not inadvertently can solve from the device 6.
- the device 6 is arranged between the mast ankle 7 of the surfboard 1 and the foot of the mast 3.
- the device 6 in the Provide the area of the mast 3 where the boom 4 also engages the mast.
- a short outer tube is movably connected to the mast end of the boom in the desired manner and the mast, which can also serve as an inner tube, or an inner tube comprising the mast in the area of the attachment point of the boom is provided on a length section with locking recesses for the locking bolt of the locking device , the latter being designed as described.
- the pull line 20 of the locking device 10 connected to the outer tube can be replaced, for example, by a pawl, lever or the like, in order to be able to actuate the locking pin 15 comfortably.
- the mast 33 is inserted into the mast pocket 36 of the sail 34.
- the course of the mast pocket 36 usually has two or three mast pocket openings 37, in the area of which the boom 35 can be struck by means of a mast mast 38 or the like.
- At least one eyelet 40 is provided on the sail neck 39 of the sail 34, through which a luff stretcher 41 can be guided.
- the connection between mast 33 and sail board 32 is conventionally achieved in that the lower end of the mast 33 is pushed over a mast foot 42, which can be connected via a universal joint 43 firmly but releasably to the S e-gel board 32 in a conventional manner.
- the firm connection between mast 33 and mast base 42 is usually effected with the aid of the luff stretcher 41.

- constructions of the mast base 42 are known in which a ring can be shifted in height along the mast base 42, against which the lower end of the mast 33 then comes to rest and is then fixed in the usual manner with the aid of the slip clamp on the mast base.
- a height adjustment of the entire mast 33 relative to the sail board 32 is thereby possible.
- both the luff stretcher 41 and the trim sheet 45 must be released each time the height is adjusted are and if necessary, the battens 46 must be pulled out, so that a considerable amount of time is lost for the changeover and considerable effort is required. In this case, if the leash for the V orliekumbler 41 is somewhat tight, this, which is slip out upon release from the entire document and trimming arrangement obviously undesirable.
- mast shoe 47 According to the invention.

- the other, free end of the downhaul 41 is guided through an eyelet 40 in the sail 34, and then to trim and B elegan onion 51 recycled. In the simplest case, this has a slip clamp 53 in which the free end of the luff stretcher 41 can be fixed after trimming.
- a deflection roller 54 is provided, around which the luff stretcher 41 can be guided and can be guided through a further eyelet 40 of the sail 34 and can only then be guided to the slip clamp 53.
- a further deflection roller 55 is provided for better trimming.
- the first deflection roller 54 is another B elegklemme downstream 56, by means of a possible pre-trimming and set before the V orliekstrek- ker is threaded through the second eyelet 40 41 and fed back to the further deflection roller 55 and to the former cleat 53rd
- trim and slip arrangement 51 are also possible in principle.
- a locking device 57 is provided, with the aid of which the mast shoe 47 can be fixedly but detachably attached to the mast foot 42.
- the mast foot 42 has a plurality of transverse grooves 59 which are spaced apart in the height direction from the axis 58 of the mast foot 42 and which, as shown in FIG. 4, extend over an angular range in the horizontal plane.
- These transverse grooves 59 can be formed by impressions in the tube material of the mast base 42.
- circumferential transverse grooves are also possible.
- the locking device 57 has a toggle 60 which is rotatably attached to the mast shoe 47 in a horizontal plane and which can be pivoted by means of a lever 61 integrally formed on it.

- the mast shoe 47 with the mast 33 and the sail 34 fixed via the trim and slip arrangement 51 can be adjusted in height along the mast foot 42.
- the toggle part 63 engages in the transverse groove 59 such that height adjustment is no longer possible.
- the lever 61 and / or the toggle 60 in the second latching position to be spring-loaded (not shown in detail) by means of an arrangement which is conventional per se.
- the lever 61 can engage in a transverse groove 64 in the mast shoe 47 and can be moved out of this only by overcoming a certain force, possibly a spring force.
- FIG. 6 shows the section VI-VI in FIG. 7
- FIG. 7 shows the section VII-VII in FIG. 6.
- FIGS. 8 to 10 Another embodiment of the mast shoe 47 is shown in FIGS. 8 to 10, which differs from that previously explained by a different design of the locking device 57.
- a spring element 65 is provided on the mast shoe 47, which is firmly connected at one end 66 to the mast shoe 47, is formed in the illustrated embodiment, and in which the other free end 67 is shaped in accordance with the configuration of the transverse groove 59, ie, having (F ig. 8) in cross-section S-shaped curve substantially with a curvature that is intended to engage in the transverse groove 59th This free end 67 engages in this unloaded or lightly loaded state in this transverse groove 59.
- Kne Belteil 63 and flattened portion 62 of the knob 60 are formed in a corresponding manner. If the toggle 60 is in the first latching position, in which the flat 62 lies opposite the free end 67 of the spring element 65, the mast shoe 47 can be displaced along the mast foot 42, the free end 67 of the spring element 65 easily latching into the respective transverse groove 59. In the other, second detent position, in which the toggle part 63 faces the free end 67 of the spring element 65, ie, engages in the course thereof, the spring element 65 and thus the mast shoe 47 are firmly in contact with one of the transverse grooves 59.
- the mast base 42 is designed somewhat differently, namely as a guide device it has a flat 68 in the direction of the axis 58, the transverse grooves 59 being formed in the area of the flat 68.
- the free end 67 is always in slight contact with the flat portion 68, whereby the pole sleeve 47 can not be rotated relative to the mast base 42nd
- a guide device can also be used in the first exemplary embodiment of the invention.
- trim and slip arrangement 51 is also provided in this embodiment of the mast shoe 47, this is not explained in detail and can be designed as in the first embodiment.
- FIG. 8 shows the first latching position of the locking device 57, the free end 67 of the spring element 65 (still) lying in the transverse groove 59.
- Fig. 9 the free end 67 of the spring element 65 moves along the flat 68 outside the transverse groove 59.
- FIG. 10 shows a top view of the molding of the spring element 65 on the mast shoe 47, with the toggle 60 and lever 61 being removed.
- toggle 60 can also be fixed in this exemplary embodiment, at least in the second latching position, in order to prevent unwanted loosening of locking device 27.
- the mast shoe 47 is molded from plastic, and the various individual parts, such as the trim and slip arrangement 51 and / or the spring element 65, can be formed in one piece.
- the mast shoe 47 can also be made of metal or a laminate or another suitable material.
- the transverse groove 59 can be formed by impressions.
- Another advantage of the design according to the invention is that no holes and rivets have to be made on the mast base, so that no material weakening occurs. Otherwise, the first and second exemplary embodiments are essentially the same. It is essential, as mentioned, that the trim and slip arrangement 51 is provided on the mast shoe 47 in such a way that the mast 33 can be fixed relative to the mast shoe 47 and the sail 34 can be trimmed, the overall arrangement using the mast shoe 47 on the mast base 42, if necessary is adjustable in height.
- the height adjustment can be achieved by simply releasing the locking device 57 and height adjustment of the overall arrangement (with trimmed sail 34) along the mast base 42.
- markings 69 on the mast 33 at least in the area in which the mast pocket openings 37 will be (FIG. 11). These markings give the sail surfer clear information about the respective distance of the marking 69 from the lower end 40 of the mast 33, so that once the ideal position has been determined, the mast ropes 38 even before the mast 33 is inserted into the mast pocket 36 can be posted.
- the overall arrangement is then only adjusted in height with the help of the mast shoe 47 in accordance with the other conditions, without the trim of the sail 34 having to be changed, which is particularly advantageous in surf schools.
- the exact height position of the stop location of the mast mast 38 can be determined in a simple manner.
- the markings 69 can be printed. Since the mast 33 usually consists of a laminate, the marking can also be laminated in, for example a printed textile or paper can be inserted at the corresponding point when the mast is laminated. This makes the marking indelible even when exposed to sand and salt water.
- the marking 69 can comprise single or multi-colored symbols, it can be formed by letters, numbers or other markings, such as lines as shown. It is of particular advantage if the marking 69 represents the actual distance from the lower end 40 of the mast 33, for example by means of numbers that correspond to the Distance in cm.
- a device for connecting the mast 33 and the mast base 42 is specified in a sail board 32, in which the attachment of the boom is extremely simplified, and furthermore, with a correspondingly designed mast base, height adjustment is possible without changing the trim of the sail 34.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for windsurfing devices for adjusting the distance between the boom and the surfboard, which has a drill which can be connected to the mast of the device and has axially spaced-apart depressions and a bolt which engages in the depressions for axial adjustment and determination of the aforementioned distance .
A known device of this type for adjusting the distance between the boom and the surfboard is connected on the one hand to the mast base of the surfboard and on the other hand to the mast. The latch is located on the mast base. Such an arrangement is problematic both for reasons of material utilization or weight savings and with regard to the lowest possible sail covering.
With the known device, however, it is also only possible to adjust the boom height relative to the surfboard to the height of the surfer before the start of surfing. However, the distance set in this way cannot be changed while surfing. This makes it particularly difficult to make a so-called water start in which initially both the entire R igg including the sail and the surfers are themselves in the water. The surfer must try to get the rig out of the water together with the sail to lift or lift so that the wind can reach under the sail, so that the rig and sail as well as the surfer can be completely pulled out of the water with the help of wind power and brought into the upright surfing position. The distance between the surfboard and the boom, which was set once and before the start of surfing, turns out to be too large for the surfer, who has to support himself on the surfboard with his feet up, to adequately hold the rig with the sail with his hands high out of the water. Although screw closures for height-adjustable attachment of a mast to the mast base have already become known, in which the mother is arranged on the mast, these closures are very unfriendly to use and therefore not suitable for mast adjustment on the water.
The object of the invention is to provide a device of the type mentioned in the introduction, which enables a so-called water start in particular to be carried out more easily. Furthermore, a height adjustment of the boom should at least be possible when the surfer is standing on the floating surfing device.
The solution to the problem is that - starting from a device of the type specified - a second tube is slidably mounted on the first tube and that the bolt is part of a locking device arranged on the second tube and can be unlocked by means of an element that can be operated while surfing.
With the device according to the innovation, the distance between the boom and the surfboard can be easily changed and readjusted at any time. For During normal driving, the distance in question is matched to the respective surfer by raising and locking the outer tube of the two telescopic tubes, which is directly or indirectly connected to the boom. In order to make it easier to carry out a water start that has become necessary, the distance mentioned can now be reduced by unlocking the locking device, for. B. by a pull line or a lever, and by pushing back the outer tube including the rig with the sail or the boom, optionally supported by a retractor, in the starting position, that is, in the position of the shortest distance, with subsequent relocking of the two telescopic tubes . This minimum distance is such that the surfer lying in the water, with his feet supported on the surfboard by grasping the boom, can lift the rig with the sail sufficiently far out of the water so that the wind can reach safely under the sail . Erected again, the device is unlocked again and the rig or boom is set to the desired height and locked again, which is also easy to carry out.
From the latter it can also be seen that the distance in question can also be conveniently set during the actual surfing in order to best suit the prevailing conditions. Another advantage of the new device is that the rig with the sail is easier to lift out of the water even when the surfer is standing on the floating board. The device is then also unlocked to reduce the distance in question, so that the rig with the sail using the usual catch sheet due to the larger catch angle the sheet is lighter, that is to say with less force, from which water can be pulled.
The invention is further developed by the features of the subclaims, in particular a locking arrangement for locking the mast at the mast base can be designed such that the bolt automatically engages and / or can be adjusted via a lever arrangement or via a control element leading into the vicinity of the boom, whereby the height adjustment is further facilitated while driving. Furthermore, it is expedient to provide markings on the mast and / or the mast base from which the distance of the attachment point of the boom from the sailboard (bottom end of the mast base) can be determined. With such markings, the mast rope or mast sleeve can be attached by means of which the boom can be attached to the mast, even before the mast is pushed into the mast pocket, if the ideal altitude for a sail surfer is determined. Such markings can, for example, reflect the distance in cm from the bottom of the mast, but symbols can also be used.
Furthermore, there is the additional advantage that no holes are to be provided on the mast or on the mast base, as a result of which a watertight construction can be achieved and furthermore the pipe strength is hardly impaired. Finally, it is shown that the device according to the invention can also be retrofitted, at least in the case of those mast feet which enable the mast shoe to be fixed at at least one height, for example commercially available mast feet with circumferential transverse grooves.

The windsurfing device shown in Fig. 1 consists of the usual surfboard 1, the
In Figures 2 and 3, the
The
It is advantageous if the two telescopically sliding
The lower end of the
If it is necessary for a tall person to initially set the rig in a higher basic setting independently of the
- For setting the basic setting of the
rig 2 is pulled to thetug 20, to pull out the lockingbolt 15 of a lockingrecess 17, so that therig 2 raised and, by releasing theline 20 lung by means of the lockingbolt 15 and thespring 16 in the desired S medium- can be locked. Then the surfing takes place. If it is a start of the said water is required, the Surfer in the water pulls on thepull cord 20, so that now theouter tube 9, and thus the RIgG 2 is pulled by the sail 5 in the starting position of the apparatus. 6 This also reduces the distance between the surfboard and the boom 4. This reduced distance now enables the surfer to push the rig with the sail 5 more easily and relatively far out of the water, so that an improved water start is possible with the help of wind power. If the surfer is now back on the surfboard, the original distance between the boom 4 and the surfboard 1 can be easily restored by pulling on thepull line 20 and making the desired adjustment of thedevice 6 in the manner already indicated.
Above it has been described as advantageous that the
Ggf. können Segellatten 46 wie angedeutet in das Segel 34 eingeschoben werden.4, the rig with 31, the sail board with 32, the mast with 33, the sail with 34 and the boom with 35 are designated. The
In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 4 to 10, the connection between
It has been shown that, in particular, when a
Furthermore, constructions of the
These problems are overcome by the provision of
Two embodiments of the
First, the first embodiment of the
The
However, other embodiments of the trim and slip
On the side of the
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the
Fig. 6). The locking
In the first latching position, the
It should be noted that FIG. 6 shows the section VI-VI in FIG. 7, FIG. 7 shows the section VII-VII in FIG. 6.
Furthermore, the
Of course, a trim and slip
In the exemplary embodiments shown, the
Furthermore, as in the first exemplary embodiment, the
Another advantage of the design according to the invention is that no holes and rivets have to be made on the mast base, so that no material weakening occurs. Otherwise, the first and second exemplary embodiments are essentially the same. It is essential, as mentioned, that the trim and slip
With such an arrangement, once the
To further improve and facilitate attaching the boom, it is expedient to provide
In summary, a device for connecting the
